I've decided to sell my impala in hopes to find a 62 rag. See notes below about the car

-Car is wrapped not painted matte black. All the panels on the car are solid, the only panel with any body work is the driverside fender.
-All of the chrome exterior trim has painted matte silver
-The top is matte white vinyl
-none of the floor boards or trunk are rusted, they are all solid.
-The only part of the car that is rusted out is the rear trunk body mount underneath
-Great running 350 with turbo 400 transmission. Car starts right up
-Brand new battery, radiator, carburetor, fuel filler neck, misc hoses, etc.
-All the air suspension was installed a few months ago. Car has individual corner control with 8 valves. There are 2 Viair 480C compressors, 2 chrome 5 gallon tanks, and 4 slam specialties air bags. The bag set up is pretty quick and only a couple holes were drilled in the entire car to install the suspension
-Dakota Digital air gauges
-14" wires painted to match car with 175/70/14 tires need replaced and wheels have some flaws in them
-dual antenna kit
-new front parking lenses in clear
-new carpet kit
-new package tray
-interior is clean but has some cracks in seats and a couple small tears in the door panel
-The interior overall is in excellent condition
-all dash gauges work including parking brake light, high beam light, etc. Very unusual for a car of this age
-all electronic works in car
-drives excellent and gets a lot of attention wherever it goes.

The picture of the trunk is before the air ride was installed about 2 months ago.

I am interested in possibly trading for a convertible impala pre 65, Harley street glide or road king, or another custom car that you might have.

-Wrap is about 6 months old, and shows some signs of stretching or creasing around edges but typical for all wraps
-Doors and trunk shut great, driver side door could use some alignment for trim to sit perfect
-Car is not a frame off restoration, but a great driver with only minor flaws in body and trim.
-all the side trim and hood trim is new it has been painted the same time as the other trim
-same key works for doors, ignition, trunk, and glove box!
-I'm including extra vinyl for the body and top, and including a few extra cans of silver matte paint for touch up.

Nissan Leaf sales drop, new Chevy Volt climbs in November

Tue, Dec 1 2015

This is probably just how things are going to be from now on. With the second-gen Chevy Volt available in some states and Nissan dragging its heels on getting a true new version of the Leaf onto dealer lots, it's no surprise that plug-in vehicle shoppers are turning to the Volt in a big way. Yes, we know that a pure EV and a PHEV are not the same and that the Volt and the Leaf are quite different cars, but after all of this time tracking the two plug-in sales champions, we feel obliged to continue our monthly look at who's selling how many of what. Here goes. We'll start with the mediocre news. That'd be the Leaf sales, which came in at just 1,054 units last month. That's the lowest monthly sales total for all of 2015 and, in fact, the lowest month of Leaf sales since February 2013. It's also a 60.8 percent drop from November 2014's sales of 2,687. This despite the fact that you can now get a new Leaf with a longer range of 107 miles (vs. 84) for a higher cost. The new Volt (along with the first-gen Volts that are still being sold out there), on the other hand, was up 49 percent, to 1,980 sales. That gave the Volt its best November ever, "on both a total and retail basis," GM says. The Volt beat the Leaf in October, too, and we suspect this is going to be the story until Nissan figures out how to get people excited about a five-year-old model or introduces the second edition. As always, we'll have a fuller wrap-up of US green car sales in our By The Numbers report soon. Green Chevrolet Nissan Electric Hybrid ev sales

GM says hybrid Corvette no laughing matter [w/poll]

Fri, 30 Aug 2013

When Mark Reuss was in LA recently, he sat down to have a few words with the scribes at the Los Angeles Times. When the issue of a hybrid Corvette came up, Reuss answered with "Don't laugh." The General Motors president is a complete fan of the possibility, calling it "attractive" and "really fun," believing it would improve GM expertise and that "people would love it."
Naturally, the president being supportive of an idea doesn't give indication that a hybrid Corvette is on the way. However, with supercars like the Porsche 918 Spyder and Ferrari LaFerrari giving hybrid tech a solid, if remote, place in the performance car world, the inexorable trickle-down of technology means we shouldn't be surprised if and when it does happen.
And now that we have that non-negative half-answer to a speculative question, it would be irresponsible for us not to commence rumormilling for the C8 Corvette. Taking Reuss at his word, the C8 will obviously be a hybrid with all-wheel-drive - the left side wheels driven with electric motors, the right side with the mid-mounted, four-cylinder diesel engine. With coefficient of drag of just .16, figure on a 0-to-60 mile-per-hour time of under 2 seconds and an all-electric range of something like 30 miles at top speed. Don't forget, folks, you read it here first.

GM to idle Indiana truck plant for two weeks over chip shortage

Fri, Mar 25 2022

WASHINGTON —General Motors said Friday it will idle for two weeks in April an assembly plant in Indiana that builds pickup trucks, over ongoing semiconductor chip shortages. The Detroit automaker said it will halt production at its Fort Wayne assembly plant, which builds the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500, for two weeks starting April 4. "There is still uncertainty and unpredictability in the semiconductor supply base, and we are actively working with our suppliers to mitigate potential issues moving forward," GM said Friday. The automaker said this is its first semiconductor-related full-size truck production downtime since August. GM noted that overall it has "seen better consistency in semiconductor supply through the first quarter compared to last year as a whole. This has translated into improvement in our production and deliveries during the first three months of the year." GM Chief Executive Officer Mary Barra met with some lawmakers on Capitol Hill this week, including Republican Senator Todd Young of Indiana. GM is backing a bill in Congress to provide $52 billion in government subsidies to boost U.S. semiconductor manufacturing. GM said that legislation could help "alleviate the ongoing shortage that continues to impact U.S. automotive manufacturing." (Reporting by David Shepardson; editing by Jonathan Oatis) Related video:
