1962 Impala 4 Door Automatic Running With Good Papers 60 61 62 63 64 on 2040-cars
Bronx, New York, United States
Up for auction is my 1962 Chevy Impala 4 door automatic. As you can see from the pics, it is painted two tone. The top is red & the body & fender skirts are white. It has a 235 straight 6cyl engine that sounds good. It has a modern day electronic distributor installed in it. It is a power steering car. Not many cars back then had power steering. It has the original am radio & the dash is not cut up or butchered like a lot of these old cars are. The other door panels are in the trunk with a lot of extra parts for the car. As you can also see from the pics is that the windshield is cracked on the passenger side front corner but I have another good windshield that goes with the car. The missing side mouldings from the doors & fenders are also in the trunk. I have the floor panel for the passenger side front but it needs to be welded in. The rear floors are ok but you will have to buy or fabricate the floor for the drivers side front. They are sold in most all of the chevy aftermarket books. It is missing the front chrome hood lip but they do sell it here on ebay & in the chevy books. The headliner is missing & will need to be replaced. It has 5- P245/60R14 monte carlo rims & tires on it. The headlights & tailights all work. The burgandy seats in it are from an old plymouth vehicle but i do still have the original front bench seat for it & the winning bidder can have it if they want but it will need reupholstering. The body is in pretty good condition with no major signs of rust or damage. The car does run & drive & stop but i would have the brakes checked out before you drive it on the highway. I have a clean NYS registration for it. NYS does not use titles on pre 1975 vehicles but use registrations instead.
You are more than welcome to come by & bring your mechanic to look over & start the vehicle. I will not ship the vehicle but will drive it onto your car hauler or trailer. Shipping is the sloe responsibility of the winning bidder. There is a 100.00 deposit via paypal due within 24 hours of the auction end (no exceptions) & the balance can be paid by check or money order or cash in person but ALL checks, certified , cashier checks & money orders must first clear my bank before the vehicle or paperwork is released. Im sorry if your truck happens to be in my area before the check clears. If you have less than 10 positive feedbacks then please contact me first before you bid on any of my items. This & all vehicles are sold as is where is with no guaranties or warranties. We had a bad winter here & the snow caved in the roofs on my garage & shed & there is a 64 impala convertible under the shed that i need to get out & fixed so a lot of my projects will have to go. Please check my other auctions as I will be also listing a 2005 ford Explorer , 1995 dodge van with 86660 miles, 2002 Taurus with 79425 miles,1999 ford ranger cab & 1/2 pick up, 1965 chevy impala convertible, 2004 Taurus with 62480 miles,1969 buick skylark 2 dr, 2001 chevy silverado cab & 1/2 pick up & a 1964 impala 4 door. Recharge Wrap-up: Chevy Volt named KBB "Best Buy," slow BMW i3 sales in Germany
Wed, Nov 19 2014The Chevrolet Volt has been awarded Kelley Blue Book's Electric/Hybrid Car Best Buy for 2015. KBB cited the car's electric commuter capabilities, extended range, acceleration, design and overall value as reasons to place it above the Nissan Leaf, BMW i3 and Toyota Prius. It works well in the real world, and doesn't leave drivers with range anxiety. Plus, it's comfortable, and a fun car to drive, according to KBB. Read more at Kelley Blue Book. The BMW i3 is seeing slow sales in Germany. BMW has sold about half the number of i3s it expected in its home country, with about 1,900 sold in the first nine months. BMW projected sales of 5,000 to 6,000 in the first year. BMW partly blames long shipping times for the slow sales, and the company is offering incentives in hopes of getting more people to adopt the electric car. In the US, BMW sold more than 1,000 units each month between August and October. Read more at Green Car Reports. Audi is pursuing new carbon-neutral synthetic fuels - or e-fuels - such as Audi e-diesel. Audi's newest project uses electrolysis of water to create hydrogen, which it then reacts with CO2 extracted from the air. The result is a liquid - called Blue Crude - full of energy from hydrocarbon compounds. The Blue Crude can then be converted into a sulfur-free synthetic diesel called e-diesel. This e-diesel can be used as a drop-in fuel, blended into fossil diesel for a more renewable fuel. Read more at Hybrid Cars. Users will be able to choose their own playlist that will be ready and playing for them when they are picked up. It offers a more personalized experience from the ride-hailing service, which, according to Uber CEO Travis Kalanick, is "nirvana" for music lovers. Paying Spotify users will be able to use the feature initially in London, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Nashville, New York, San Francisco, Singapore, Stockholm, Sydney and Toronto. Read This: Auto Extremist advocates for Corvette as brand with multiple models [w/poll]
Fri, 25 Jan 2013The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette really grinds Peter De Lorenzo's gears. Or, more accurately, the self-anointed Auto Extremist has an issue with what he sees as mismanagement of the legendary sports car by General Motors executives. In a new editorial on his website, De Lorenzo argues it's time to split Corvette off from Chevrolet to create an all-new brand, complete with a model range with at least three new takes on the sports car. Capable of fully leveraging the successes of the Corvette Racing program and brandishing the full might of GM's technical prowess, the Corvette brand would theoretically give Porsche something to sweat over.
Sure, that sounds like a party, but given GM's troubled track record when it comes to launching (let alone managing) brands, we say that's slippery slope that could just as easily end with the whole Corvette franchise in the scrap bin. Either way, the notion is certainly an interesting one. Head over to Auto Extremist to take in the full editorial, and then let us know what you think in Comments. Should GM split off its most storied nameplate?

Weekly Recap: Lincoln Continental serves up the style, Cadillac CT6 delivers the substance in New York
Sat, Apr 4 2015Lincoln and Cadillac grabbed the spotlight this week at the New York Auto Show in a dramatic fashion that evoked the brands' glory days. America's two luxury carmakers went toe-to-toe with their glittering reveals and plans for ambitious expansion. Both were selling their technology, style and the promise of a better future. Cadillac vs. Lincoln. At the Javits Center, 2015 seemed a lot like 1956. Neither company was interested in drawing comparisons with the other, which is fair, and accurate. They're in vastly different places in terms of sales and the pace of their turnarounds, but they hope to reach the same eventual destination at the pinnacle of the luxury-car world. Lincoln used the element of surprise to great effect with the Continental concept. A production version is still at least a year away, and the company was vague on details. Officially, we don't even know if it is front- or rear-wheel drive, though speculation abounds. Who cares? The seats can be adjusted 30 ways! The Continental also showed off a bold chrome grille that will be the new face of Lincoln. The blue bomber also rolled on blinged-out 21-inch polished aluminum wheels, used a 3.0-liter EcoBoost engine and had huge LED head lights with "laser-assisted" high beams. All of this resulted in almost blinding attention. The concept drew rave reviews, stirred controversy with Bentley designers who argued Lincoln ripped them off, and most importantly, pointed a way forward for the newly determined brand that hopes to compete with Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Cadillac and Lexus. View 32 Photos Meanwhile, Cadillac showed the CT6, a finished product that will top its range and is loaded with the best and latest technologies General Motors has at its disposal. With production starting late this year, Cadillac had more specifics at the ready. Engines? Cadillac has a couple V6s and a turbo four for sure. It's working on a hybrid, and has considered a V-Series variant. It's based on a new rear-wheel-drive, aluminum-intensive chassis called Omega, features an advanced collision-mitigation system with automatic braking and has a cabin that's laden with "leathers, exotic woods and carbon fiber." It will be assembled at GM's Detroit-Hamtramck factory and goes on sale next year. At this point, Cadillac is more than willing to talk about every except for the price. The devil was not in the details for Cadillac, as evidenced by the CT6. But it wasn't for Lincoln either.
