Southern Rods AC and Heater that work great ,also chrome tilt steering column from same company .
Disk Brake conversion new bushings front and rear , shocks ETC .
Seats are from 2003 Saturn L200 very comfy ,center counsel is late S10 blazer and fits the look very well
Dash has been filled and Ac vents installed where NOS heat Ac controls used to be , make for very clean look , after market twin guages in original bezel [ temp oil volt fuel ] .
New dash pad carpet headline door panels ETC. New It's A Snap wiring loom .
This was not a pristine perfect truck to start the restore with
I had to replace the entire floor pan to start , the entire bed pan was replaced by previous owner ,
I don't have history of why it was done [ ? rust , dents ? ] but he did a nice job and I run a bed mate anyway .
Body was nice to start and I only had to block it out about three time and fix minor waviness in previous paint job looks very straight now in the dark Charcoal color . DuPont base coat clear coat , Custom work was shaved tail gate and bed moldings removed .I'm not a professional painter I can get them looking very good but this is no top show car paint job .
All bed trim , bumpers , and side widow trim is new , all rubber seals are new
I'll end by saying this is a very nice El Camino and i receive lots of compliment where ever I go .
my reserve [ don't ask just bid if you like what you see ]if hit is less then the price of the total parts bill , not including all the labor [ one year , but I enjoy doing the build and moving on to the next project ]

Chevy Volt, Nissan Leaf go nearly the same all-electric miles a year
Sun, Nov 1 2015Range anxiety? What range anxiety? The concept is a foreign one to those driving Chevrolet Volt extended-range plug-ins, and as a result, that vehicle's all-electric driving miles are actually pretty close to that of the all-electric Nissan Leaf. Such were the findings of a study conducted by the Idaho National Laboratory (INL), which tracked about 8,700 cars during a three-year period, including a bunch of Volts, Leafs and Smart ED electric vehicles. In short, even though the Volt's all-electric range of about 38 miles is less than half that of the Leaf's, the Volts' collective all-electric driving was just six percent lower than the Leaf's (the next-generation Volt will be even more electro-generous, with a 50-mile range). The logic makes sense considering typical US driving habits, in which a vast majority of people commute less than 35 miles a day. Additionally, Volt drivers obviously have no fear of running out of electricity, so they were far more likely to max out on that range than some Leaf drivers. Overall, the average Leaf is driven about 15 percent less than the national average of about 11,300 miles a year for all vehicles, while Volts are driven about eight percent more. Of all those Volt miles, about 81 percent were in all-electric mode. Additionally, Volt drivers recharged about 1.5 times a day, while Leaf drivers recharged about once a day, and about 85 percent of that charging was at home. As for non-home charging, about 20 percent of the vehicles accounted for 75 percent of the station use, so folks are definitely creatures of habit. Check out the INL's 22-page report here for more interesting details. Expect greater differentiation in GM's next-generation SUVs
Thu, 03 Jan 2013General Motors says its next-generation Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban, GMC Yukon and Cadillac Escalade models will offer shoppers improved interior differentiation. Car and Driver recently caught up with Chris Hilts, GM's creative manager of interior design, who said that the cabins will all feature unique instrument panels, consoles, center stacks and switchgear moving forward. Apparently GM is now aware that consumers may be bothered by the fact that today's $85,000 Escalade has effectively the same cabin as a $45,000 Tahoe. Hilts says SUV buyers want more refinement than their pickup purchasing counterparts - and those same buyers also want their SUVs to have more exterior differentiation between the company's Silverado and Sierra pickup lines. Shocking.
That all sounds good to us, but we've heard this song and dance before. GM made big waves about how different the new-for-2013 Silverado and Sierra would look from each other, but judging by what we've seen so far, GM's stylists are painting in shades rather than with the full spectrum.
