It was purchased in 1982 with a 350 engine which has been replaced with a new 283 engine. It is a 4 speed with about 250 miles on it. It was painted burnt orange when purchased and there is some chipping. It has the black leather original upholstery. The original wheels are with the car but not on it. It has Goodyear Wide Tread tires that were on it when purchased. There are no hubcaps. It has the original radio but is not installed. A spot of rust on the frame the size of a silver dollar was treated and then a steel sleeve was welded to the area. It has been rust coated. The odometer is not hooked up and the speedometer cable is broke. The windshield wipers are not working."

This is a hard top convertible that needs some minor work. It has been kept in a garage since its purchase in 1982. It was purchased at the Iola, Wi. Car Show. There were 9,670 built in 1959. GM throttles back Chevy Malibu, Buick LaCrosse production over swollen inventories

As inventory of the Chevrolet Malibu and Buick LaCrosse continues to pile up, General Motors will be idling its Fairfax Assembly Plant for two weeks, according to Automotive News. This move comes about a month after the plant was shut down for three weeks in late December and early January for the same reason. As of January 31, the GM had a 94-day supply of Malibu stock while the LaCrosse was a little worse with a 117-day supply.
Just last week, GM announced that it would be investing $600 million in upgrading this plant, but it's unclear what future plans the company has in store for Fairfax considering slow sales of both the plant's models. We do expect a refreshed and more luxurious LaCrosse shortly and an early design update for the Malibu to be announced at some point this year, although we have had no official word as to when either will happen.

After being teased with spy shots and blurry images like the one above for ages, now is the time to see the trucks in the metal, for real (well, as 'real' as it gets on a webcast, at any rate).

We anticipate having loads of images full technical information to share after the webcast, too, so truck aficionados should stay tuned.
