You are bidding on a beautiful 1975 Corvette T-Top. The car has been recently restored by a professional, Michigan registered repair facility. The paint is a 3 stage candy apple red and is absolutely gorgeous. Nothing but the highest quality materials and paint were used on this car. The body is in excellent shape, no cracks, scratches, chips, etc. The under carriage has also been professionally prepared and undercoated to ensure many years of enjoyment from this vehicle. The black interior is in decent shape. The seats, carpet, connsole, and dash are all in good shape. The motor is a carburetted 5.7 liter (35). It has a edelbrock carburetor, aluminium intake. It has accel coil in distributer w/8.8 Accell plug wires. It has an aluminium edelbrock air cleaner and valve covers. Other features include, headers and duel exhaust with flow master mufflers. The motor was originally equipped with A/C, but the pump has been removed, probably to increase horsepower. The odometer currently reads slightly under 88,100 but may increace in mileage if we decide to drive this car to local car shows. The car has chrome crager wheels that are in very good shape, there may be minor flaws that are hardly noticable, you may find some slight peeling and small corrosion upon close inspection, but the wheels still look very good and shine well. The front tires are Radial GT HP 4000 P 245/60 R15 and rears are P275/60 R15 and tires are have 60% Good tread. Lots of miles left on them. The stereo is a Panasonic CQ-C11010 50 Wattx4 CD player. Car has factory tachometer and a 8000 RPM Sunpro tack attached to steering column. Transmission is an Automatic and shifts good and smoothly. Shifter on floor (console), all chrome, emblems, trim and T-Tops are present and in good shape (original). Imperfections on this car are minimal. The headlights are up all the time. I haven't had a chance to diagnose the problem since Corvette's are not my specialty, if we don't sell the corvette quickly I will fix the headlights when I get a couple other projects out of the way. I don't think it will take much to fix the headlights. The interior has some imperfections, scratches on headliner . Some cracks in rear panels (Behind Seats). The heater blower switch is bad, heater blower motor works fine (has been tested) the switch is bad. The driver side window goes down fine, when going up it needs guided by hand. Again I haven't had a professional look at it. It does go all the way down and 3/4 of the way up without assistance. This car is in excellent mechanical condition (Other than issues listed). The brakes are like new, pads, rotors, callipers etc. The shocks are good the rear has air shocks on it. The front and rear bumpers have been smoothed out. No gaps or waves that most Corvette bumpers have. Extra time and money were invested in this cars body work and paint work to get it to look as beautiful as it does. The pictures of this car do it no justice, the color is beautiful, and the shine is as good if not better than any Corvette around. It has chrome Hot Rod style mirrors on both driver and passenger side. (They look good) This whole car was water sanded and buffed to a lustre that will even stand out at car shows. All lights, blinkers, power windows, etc. works fine. As far as the motor and transmission, everything seems to run extremely well, the motor seems to be very tight and strong, and the transmission shifts with absolutely no apparent problems. It was very smooth riding for a Corvette. We have have a lot of time and money invested in this car and we realize you we will not be able to recoup all all of our investment considering the time and effort that has put into this vehicle. I find it hard to believe that you would ever be able to get this much car, looking as good as this one does, and have it professionally done, with the the low reserve we have placed on this corvette. My local bank says this car has a loan value of $15,500 in average condition, and a loan value of $24,000 in excellent condition. This car's exterior is in excellent condition, and the car's interior is in good to high average condition for it's age. We would encourage you to come and look at this vehicle before you purchase, or if you are unable to come and look at it, we would encouarge you to get an independent inspection. We are confident this car would have no problems passing an independent inspection. This car, as with all used vehicle, sold in Michigan is being sold "AS IS" and Without a Warranty. Is is your responsibility to do you homework when buying any used vehicle. If your the winning bidder a $1,000.00 non-refundable deposit within 48 hours is expected. I have 100% positive feedback, for a good reason, because I am honest with the condition of all items I sell. Do not bid if you don't have access to the money or financing!!! The restoration of this cars body would cost a minimum of $10,000 and that's on the low side considering its a 3 stage candy paint, with extensive priming and blocking and all that goes with the show quality paint work. If you are interested in financing this vehicle I would recommend going through Hagerty Classic Cars. They may be able to finance it for as low as 5.99% w/ a small downpayment. Payments based on $16,000 w/small down would come out to about $250. per month. Hagerty Insurance can insure this corvette with "full coverage - no deductible" based on good driving record for around $350 per year. My local bank may be like your local bank, who said they would loan up to $24,000 on this vehicle for as low as 1.99% interest. If you have any questions you may call Scott (who has done all the work on this vehicle and knows this corvette inside and out) at 517-960-9363 or Byron at 517-474-0627 We are anxious to sell this vehicle so the reserve is set very low. It would be a great loss to us if this vehicle sells barely over the reserve price. I have tried to be totally honest about every known issue or problem with this vehicle, however, this car's few imperfections are greatly overshadowed by the beautiful condition and eye appealing look of this corvette. If you are the high bidder, you must put a $1,000 non-refundable deposit on this vehicle within 24 hours of the close of the auction.

*Please note: I placed a low interest loan on this vehicle when the restoration was complete and bank said it could take until the 1st of April to get the title back, therefore you may have to wait until the April 1st to receive the title to this vehicle. I will post and update in the auction if the title arrives to me before the end of the auction. I guarantee the title will clear and sent with the vehicle.

24 Hours of Le Mans live update part two
Sun, Jun 19 2016We tasked surfing journalist Rory Parker to watch this year's live stream of the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans. What follows is an experiment to experience the world's greatest endurance race from the perspective of a motorsports novice. Parker lives in Hawaii and can hold his breath longer than he can go without swearing. For Part One, click here. Or you can skip ahead to Part Three here. I write about surfing for a living. If you can call it a living. Basically means I spend my days fucking around and my wife pays for everything. Because she's got a real job that pays well. Brings home the bacon. Very progressive arrangement. Super twenty first century. I run a surf website, beachgrit.com, with two other guys. It's a strange gig. More or less uncensored. Kind of popular. Very good at alienating advertisers. My behavior has cost us a few bucks. I'm terrible at self-censorship. Know there's a line out there, no idea where it lies. I still don't understand any of the technical side. Might as well be astrophysics or something. For contests I do long rambling write ups. They rarely make much sense. Mainly just talk about my life, whatever random thoughts pop into my head. "Can you do something similar for Le Mans?" "Sure, but I know absolutely fuck-all about racing." "That's okay. Just write what you want." "Will do. But you're gonna need to edit my stuff. Probably censor it heavily." So here I am. I spent the last week trying to learn all I can about the sport of endurance racing. But there's only so much you can jam in your head. And I still don't understand any of the technical side. Might as well be astrophysics or something. While I rambled things were happening. Tracy Krohn spun into the gravel on the Forza chicane. #89 is out of the race after an accident I missed. Pegasus racing hit the wall on the Porsche curves. Bashed up front end, in the garage getting fixed. Toyota and Porsche are swapping back and forth in the front three. Ford back in the lead in GTE Pro. #91 Porsche took a stone through the radiator, down two laps. Not good. The wife and I are one of those weird childless couples that spend way too much time caring for the needs of their pet. French bulldog, Mr Eugene Victor Debs. Great little guy. Spent the last four years training him to be obedient and friendly. Nice thing about dogs, when you're sick of dealing with them you can just lock 'em in another room for a few hours. You don't need to worry about paying for college.

Chevrolet only automaker to win EPA's 2015 Climate Leadership Awards
Fri, Feb 27 2015Chevrolet was the only automaker to be on the list of entities for the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Climate Leadership Awards. Of course, the accolades had nothing to do with any vehicle's tailpipe emissions, General Motors can still be proud. The automaker is engaging in what it calls the Chevrolet Clean Energy Campus Campaign. Chevy is working with the US Green Building Council, among other groups, to find ways for buildings in primary and secondary schools as well as college campuses to reduce their collective carbon footprint via better design. The EPA pointed out the "carbon performance methodologies" used by Chevrolet to run the program and spur lower emissions from its campus partners. The effort is part of Chevrolet's broader goal to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions by as many as 8 million metric tons of CO2. And it's going to take more than bunch of plug-in Volt and Spark EVs to do that. Other entities feted by the EPA include UPS, Bank of America, the cities of San Francisco and Oakland, Clorox and Tiffany & Co. Yes, Tiffany. Take a look at the EPA's press release below, and find out more information on Chevy's program here. UPS, Bank of America, SC Johnson Among 16 Organizations across the U.S. Recognized for Climate Action / EPA also recognizes Chevrolet Clean Energy Campus Campaign, San Diego Regional Climate Collaborative in new Innovative Partnerships Category WASHINGTON – From an innovative partnership enabling colleges to sell carbon credits to fund clean energy projects on campuses to some of the country's leading corporations setting and exceeding aggressive emission reduction goals, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Climate Leadership Award winners announced today are demonstrating that innovative actions to combat climate change are smart business decisions. Sixteen organizations and one individual representing a wide array of industries from finance and manufacturing to retail and technology show exemplary corporate, organizational, and individual leadership in response to climate change. "I am proud to recognize our Climate Leadership Award winners for their actions to reduce the harmful carbon pollution that's fueling climate change," said EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy. "Our winners are demonstrating that a healthy environment and a strong economy go hand in hand.
