Here for auction is a super low mileage 1992 Corvette LT1 6-Speed. The car has just 24,370 miles from new and shows in excelent condition, there is no damage anywhere on the car. All paint, brakes tires and wheels are in excelent condition, the leather interior is in excelent shape with no wear or rips anywhere! The exterior weather strips are a little worn and could use to be replaced if you wish to show the car, but are fine for daily use. This car is totaly 100% stock and Un-Molested!!! No goofy wings, ground effects, wheels or damaging performance bolt ons!!!
I bought this car from auction with accident damage to the right side of the hood, door and fender. There was no other damage or frame damage to the vehicle. All damaged parts were changed using a 1993 Corvette donor with just 9,000 miles on it, all replacement parts were like new. I repaired and painted this car for myself, my paint work is perfect! I have been in the business for over 20 years repairing wrecked vehicles. I have included before pictures of the car, direct from the salvage auction to show how little damage there actually was.
The car does have a PA. salvage title, check with your home state for the laws on registering this car, I am familiar with PA laws, but no other.
Now I know I will be asked "Why was this car totaled" I do not know, every car is totaled for different reasons, its not always the amount of damage, it could be the age, parts cost/availability, labor costs and vehicles resale value as salvage at auction. I have bought other salvage vehicles with even far less damage, it all depends on the insurance adjuster. There is the Myth it was totaled because it had frame damage, wrong wrong wrong!!! Cars are totaled all the time with or without frame damage. It mainly all comes down to money, repair the car, pay for your rental and then stand behind the repairs, or just total it, hand you a check and be done with it. Insurance companys even repair frames, if its cost effective for them, ever been in a larger body shop, they all have frame racks! Check out the free vehicle history report for this car above, you will see the facts of mileage and no frame damage.
This car is an instant classic for the next owner, it could be registered here in PA. as a classic car and insured with full coverage for just a couple of hundred dollars a year.
Ask yourself, if your in the market for a very reasonable cost Corvette to enjoy, whats more important, having an excelent low mileage car that has a salvage title or maybe a fair to poor condition high mileage car with a good title? There priced about the same.
Now the reason I am selling is, I just bought a Pontoon boat for the family and need to sell this car for its payment. There is no problem with this car of any type, it runs and drives perfectly. If it does not sell, I will probably just keep it and find other means of paying the pontoon off.
Serious interested bidders are welcome to come personally inspect the car. Due to the sporty nature of this car and the younger crowd they attract, test drives will be determined by me at the time it is inspected, THERE WILL BE NO JOY RIDES!!! I have sold many vehicles on Ebay, and will work with your shipper to get it to you! I have used and recommend U-Ship if shipping is needed.
On Apr-16-13 at 15:28:09 PDT, seller added the following information:
I have been asked about the right front suspension. It did not appear to have any damage at all. I actually drove this car from the auction to my garage, with no issues. The car still wears it original wheel and tire with no damage to it. For the rebuilding of this 1992, I did buy a second complete 1993 Corvette with 9,000 miles for parts, this car had a minor interior fire to the passenger dash and water damage from extinguishing it, it also had a certificate of destruction and could not be rebuilt. I did replace the right front suspension from that car to this 92 just to be sure there would be no issues. As I said, I built this car for my personal use and went all out for no issues down the road. I can not add another picture of the two together, I'm maxed out at 24 and can not remove any being the car has bids. I am going to add the pictures to Craiglist and post the link here http://scranton.craigslist.org/cto/3747794235.html

Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th
Tue, 15 Apr 2014It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.
2022 Chevy Silverado HD gains Multi-Flex tailgate as an option
Mon, May 17 2021GM is spreading the Multi-Pro Tailgate love around its truck lineup, and the Silverado HD is the latest pickup to gain the option. Just like the 2021 Silverado 1500, Chevy uses the “Multi-Flex” name for it in the HD, eschewing GMCÂ’s “Multi-Pro” branding for the bowtie vehicles. YouÂ’ll be able to option the tailgate on 2022 model year Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD models. ItÂ’ll be available optionally in every trim, so thereÂ’s no need to grab a more expensive trim to gain access to the trick tailgate — youÂ’re also not required to take it in higher trims. Functionality is the same as the standard Silverado and Sierra. The primary gate opens and closes like any other tailgate out there. ThereÂ’s a primary gate load stopper that allows you to put the gate down and still keep things from flying out the back (it can also be arranged such that the load stopper is at a higher height by using the inner gateÂ’s stopper). The inner gate folds down perpendicular to the ground to allow closer access to the bed. A full-width step is available if you fold both “gates” down and pop out the inner panel. And lastly, the inner gate can be lowered to use it as a small work space. You can watch the short video above to get a quick run through of all the positions, or scroll through the gallery at the top of this post. Besides the tailgate, Chevy says the 2022 Silverado HD is gaining a new Greenstone Metallic exterior paint color. Other changes for 2022 were not detailed at this time, but Chevy says the trucks with this tailgate should be available sometime this summer. Related video:
Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra could get independent rear suspension
Fri, Jan 3 2020The Chevrolet Silverado and the GMC Sierra could reportedly receive a variant of the four-link independent rear suspension found under the new Tahoe and Suburban. While that's not a surprise, a recent report suggests electrification, not comfort, convinced General Motors to make the change. Replacing the time-tested solid rear axle with an independent suspension will improve comfort, handling and off-road prowess, while adding weight, and likely making the trucks a little bit more expensive. It's a fair trade-off, but GM Authority learned the real reason for the swap is that at least one of the pickups will spawn an electric model, and it's more difficult to package a bulky battery pack around a solid rear axle. The independent rear suspension takes up far less space, even if it has more moving parts. General Motors will build its first regular-production electric pickup on an evolution of the Silverado's T1 platform named BT1, according to the same source. The b stands for -- you guessed it -- batteries. The firm reportedly doesn't want to make two suspensions for cost reasons, so the independent setup will come standard regardless of whether the truck runs on gasoline, diesel, or electricity. As a bonus, Chevrolet and GMC could choose to offer their T1-based trucks with Magnetic Ride Control or an air suspension, options available on the 2021 Suburban and Tahoe. The independent rear suspension will also find its way to the next-generation GMC Yukon due to be revealed January 14, and to the 2021 Cadillac Escalade scheduled to make its debut February 4. The long-rumored, born-again Hummer will get it, too, because it will arrive as an electric model built on the BT1 platform. It's worth noting none of this is official, and General Motors has remained quiet about what's next for its new suspension design, and what will be under its electric truck's sheet metal. If the GM Authority report is accurate, the Silverado (pictured) and the Sierra could ditch their solid rear axle for the 2021 model year. The change will likely be accompanied by other tweaks inside and out. Featured Gallery 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 View 16 Photos Chevrolet GMC Truck
