1999 Corvette Convertible - 6 speed - Pewter / Black / Black & the factory ordered $3000.00 GM Magnesium wheels ( 1 of only 1008 built w/ documentation ) to the tune of $53,000.00 - 27000 softly driven orig. miles and looks as new. AC Delco serviced by Corvette mechanic. IT IS LOADED W/ ALL OPTIONS EXCEPT THE F45. Has Sport seats, Heads up display, Dual zone a/c, Mag. wheels, Multi cd changer, Tilt / tele steering wheel / Memory pkg., Active handling, Body side moldings and a Cargo liner It has been meticulously cared for, always garaged, and unmodified w/ the exception of a classy Borla SS exhaust ( see pic ). NO ACCIDENTS / NO PAINT / NO BODY DAMAGE / NEVER SPENT A NIGHT OUTSIDE. Take it to Corvette shows or cruise nights easily. It is everything a Corvette buyer wants.

The original Pewter metallic paint shows like it did in '99. The moldings, handles, convertible top, window glass, lettering, rubber seals, and all other exterior features are in exceptional condition. The magnesium wheels are great and the Michelin run-flat tires have excellent tread. It has never been run through an automatic car wash and always hand washed / waxed. I have all of the manuals and books. The exterior is a solid 9.8+ / 10.

On the inside, the Black interior still looks, feels, and maintains the new car smell / crispness. As you can see in the pics, the seats have no wear, and the flooring was Scotch guarded new. The door panels, dash, center console, and displays etc. are not marked. All of the interior buttons / switches ( power windows, door locks, antenna, keyless entry, cruise, and lumbar sport seats ) work without issue. All of the dash cluster gauges / heads up display are lit and function. The Bose stereo system cass. / multi CD plays perfect. The undercarriage is dry, rust free and not intentionally driven in rain. Inside, it is a 9.9 / 10.

Mechanically, it starts, idles and drives smoothly as a "new type" car should. All of the servicing is up to date - super cold a/c, belts, hoses, fluids all changed / maintained at the proper intervals, The engine compartment is extra clean / dry, and it performs without hesitation. Of course, the LS1 - 345 hp engine has great pick-up and with the 6 speed you control the "show."

I always get compliments wherever I go with it. The next owner will be exceedingly thrilled to own this Vette.

New Chevrolet Silverado to be revealed on Facebook on Thursday

There's not much to see here, but if you're one of those waiting for the reveal of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, above is the teaser image that Chevrolet posted on its Facebook page. We've seen the truck in form-fitting camo before, and even less can be made out here beyond those seriously punchy Silverado-esque fenders and the knowledge that the projector-beam headlamps teased previously do indeed work. We'll have to wait until Thursday for a full perusal of the "bold exterior design" and "careful attention given to every detail" we've been promised.
Gathering intel and rumors, magnesium and aluminum contribute to the Silverado's weight loss plan, the purported "High Country" top-tier trim will contribute to luxury pickup truck competition and profit margins and the next-generation small-block V8 will contribute to improved fuel economy. On the engine note, there have been rumors of available V6 engines, and when Facebook user John Jones asked "Where's your answer to that EcoBoost Chevy?", the Bowtie replied "stay tuned on the 13th. We think you'll be pleased...".
Along with the "Raise the Bar" tag, Chevrolet says of the Silverado, "You asked, we delivered." You can watch the reveal live on Chevrolet's Facebook page at 9:30 am EST, this Thursday, December 13. The GMC Sierra 1500 will also be there, and we'll see both in person at the Detroit Auto Show in January.

Chevy confirms 2016 Camaro will have wheels, brakes

Good news, everyone! Chevrolet has issued yet another round of teaser images and information about the sixth-generation Camaro, set to debut in Detroit on May 16. This time around, Chevy's teaser images confirm that the new car will not only have wheels and tires (Goodyear Eagle F1s, no less), but brakes as well. On top of that, we now know that the new Camaro will be 28-percent stiffer than the outgoing model. "The more rigid body structure allowed the engineers to more precisely calibrate the steering and suspension systems because they didn't have to compensate for chassis flex. The lighter structure also enabled the size and mass of elements such as the wheels, tires and brakes to be scaled accordingly," GM said in a press release, which you can read below. We've already learned that the new coupe will be 200 pounds lighter than its predecessor, has a bunch of unique parts, and according to GM's Mark Reuss, will outperform the Ford Mustang in every way. Now, it's only a matter of time before we see the sixth-gen Camaro, but surely not before Chevy issues even more teasers and information. The structural modeling led to the Gen 6 Camaro being 28 percent stiffer than the current model. "The modeling abilities of computer aided engineering are advancing at incredible rates," said Jim Karlavage, Camaro program engineering manager. "Today, we can accurately model opportunities to add torsional strength without adding unnecessary mass. The result is a lighter, stiffer structure that benefits every aspect of the driving experience." The more rigid body structure allowed the engineers to more precisely calibrate the steering and suspension systems because they didn't have to compensate for chassis flex. The lighter structure also enabled the size and mass of elements such as the wheels, tires and brakes to be scaled accordingly. "The structural weight savings are compounded by opportunities to reduce un-sprung weight," said Karlavage.
