You are viewing an original, unrestored 1965 Chevrolet Corvair Monza 4 door sedan.
In 1965, Chevrolet made many changes to the Corvair and finally got it right. Few 4 door sedans were built, and therefore rare. This vehicle has the nearly indestructible automatic transmission and strong 110hp dual carb engine that can hustle this roughly 2000lb car down the freeway with no trouble. It runs smooth and strong. No knocking or pinging. Was just tuned up with all the necessaries replaced. Could use a little carb adjustment at idle. Very peppy when poked and suprising throttle response. Rolls straight when you let go of the wheel. Brakes work well. Master cylinder recently replaced. Has four new tires Chrome trim looks great. The body is straight with only one dent in the front passenger quarter panel (see photos). Only bits of superficial rust that are an easy repair (see photos). Interior needs the basic attention for a car if its age (carpet, rubber seals, door panels, few odds and ends. But, that's easy and the fun part). Light blue headliner and in nice shape. Original seats actually look quite nice and comfortable. If you're looking for an original to show, this one is well on its way. This vehicle is being offered as is. Transport is the responsibility of the buyer, however I will make every effort to assist in the process. If you've wanted a Corvair, this is a great example. Currently registered and clean title in hand. Just took it for a drive this morning. I hate letting it go, but I have too many projects in the works... Contact me if you have any questions. Good luck!

Chevrolet Camaro in Korea - Click above for high-resolution image
There once was a time when Daewoo was one of the biggest companies in South Korea. It was larger than both LG and Samsung, and second only to Hyundai. But these days the name is all but gone.
Chevy Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo concept blends the past and the future
Wed, 19 Nov 2014The Chevrolet Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo is the rare concept car that salutes a seminal moment in history, yet also borders on science fiction.
Revealed Wednesday at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the concept uses the name of one of Chevy's historic racing partnerships, with Chaparral Racing, which dates to the 1960s. Chaparrals raced successfully at a range of levels, including IndyCar, Trans-Am and SCCA competition.
But the history ends there, as the concept's main purpose is as a racecar in a downloadable update for the PlayStation 3 game Gran Turismo 6.
GM applies for LT5, LTX trademarks... are new small block variants coming?
Mon, 29 Apr 2013Recently discovered General Motors trademark applications for LT4, LT5, LT88 and LTX have observers wondering what kind of high-performance offerings could be on their way. A new LT4 would mark a return of the engine designation first used on the Corvette Grand Sport, SLP Pontiac Firehawk and SLP Chevrolet Camaro SS from 1996 and 1997. Supposition at Corvette Forum - which provided advance intel on the C7 like these leaked images - believes a new LT4 could go into the high-performance trim of the next-gen, 2015 Camaro that would be more powerful than the 580-horsepower Camaro ZL1.
Seeing an LT5 again would also be déjà vu - in its former life it was a 5.7-liter V8 for the C4 Corvette ZR-1 from 1990-1994 designed by Lotus, producing from 370 hp to 405 hp. A mix of rumor and hope is that the new LT5 will be a supercharged evolution of the 6.2-liter LT1 (pictured) placed in the new C7 Corvette, and that it will go into the C7 version of the ZR1 pumping out something like 700 hp.
The LTX trademark is, as with that last letter, a complete mystery. If the "X" isn't a generic way to denote the whole LT family, it's wondered if it LTX could refer to a crate motor offering like the LSX.
