1971 Chevy C-20 Cst Cheyenne Super Original 402 Big Block With A/c Fully Loaded on 2040-cars
San Rafael, California, United States
Up for auction is an all original numbers matching 1971 Chevy C-20 CST Super Cheyenne with a factory 402 big block and A/C. The truck is fully loaded with power brakes, power steering, A/C, camper mirrors, cargo light, custom sport truck package, super cheyenne package, 402 big block, factory tinted windows, dual fuel tanks, tool and stowage box, original blue and white two tone paint and custom towing bumper. This truck is 100% original and has never left the state of California since new. The truck holds its original California black plates and still has the original dealer license plate frame from new at Comanche Chevrolet in Santa Rosa. The engine has the TKB suffix code stamp verifying it to be an original Chevrolet 402 big block with a TH400 transmission. The interior is mostly original and has an uncut dash panel. The original build sheet sticker still remains in the glove box, verifying all of the options, and comes with the original Chevrolet owners manual. The truck does have a bit of rust on top of the driver's side rocker panel, a slight amount near the bottom of the stowage box door and the front corner of the passenger side quarter panel, which are notorious places for rust on the 1967-1972 chevy pickups. Other than that the truck is completely solid and straight. The truck runs and drives extremely well and has a brand new flowmaster exhaust system and brand new edelbrock street avenger polished 800cfm carburetor. The truck also comes with the original Rochester carburetor. This is an extremely rare truck and is a blast to drive as-is, or a perfect candidate for a light restoration. If you have any questions please call 415-797-2531. I can send additional pictures upon request. Thanks for looking.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray priced from $51,995*
Fri, 26 Apr 2013After months of speculation, Chevrolet has finally revealed the official starting price of the 2014 Corvette Stingray. The base MSRP for the 450-horsepower Stingray Coupe will be $51,995, while the Stingray Convertible will go for $56,995 (*both prices include a $995 destination fee). This means that the price increase from 2013 to 2014 is just $1,400 for the coupe and $2,395 for the convertible - pretty modest increases considering the upgrade in specifications. Of course, neither price accounts for the sort of dealer markup that might grace early C7 window stickers, especially since less than a third of all Chevrolet dealers will be allocated Corvette models to sell at the car's launch.
Now, these prices are for the base car, so if you're wondering how much a fully loaded Stingray will run, Chevy has given us a good indication of that as well. The coupe we saw on display at the Detroit Auto Show (shown above), for example, would run $73,360 including options such as the $2,800 Z51 Performance Package, $2,495 competition sport seats and the $1,795 Magnetic Ride Control option - just to name a few. Stepping up to the 3LT trim level that brings a full leather interior will run an extra $8,005 over the base price.
While $20,000 in options may seem like a lot, this "as-tested" price still has the C7 competitively priced against rival coupes like the Porsche 911 and Nissan GT-R. Speaking of price comparisons, Chevrolet also points out that the C7 Stingray Z51 costs $2,200 less than the C6 Grand Sport while delivering better acceleration (0-60 mph in less than four seconds) and improved track performance (including more than 1 g in cornering).
Dodge vs. Chevy tug-of-war taken to the extreme
Mon, 17 Dec 2012They say "idle hands are the devil's playground," but said playgrounds grow to Disney-sized proportions when a pair of jacked-up trucks, two egos, a chain and an empty mall parking lot are involved. Proof of this is the video below, which shows a Cummins-powered Dodge Ram circa 2006 to 2008 chained tail-to-tail with what looks to be a gasoline-powered Chevrolet Silverado from the late 1990s or early 2000s.
We don't necessarily have to tell you who wins this battle, but we'll let you see for yourself the lengths the "winning" driver goes to prove his point. There's plenty of foul language in the video below, so beware that this might be Not Safe For Work, and not that we should have to tell you, but please, do not try this at home.
2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra show all their sides in Detroit
Tue, 15 Jan 2013There could hardly be more riding on the next-generation General Motors full-size pickup trucks, so the automaker has wisely made sure to have a selection of different models on hand at the Detroit Auto Show to show off. The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and 2014 GMC Sierra were both officially introduced last month at a stand-alone reveal, and now they'll be on display for the public to see in various body configurations and trim levels.
The Silverado LTZ Crew Cab and Sierra SLE Extended Cab are aimed at providing more of a high-end pickup experience, while the Silverado LT Z71 Extended Cab and Sierra SLT Z71 Crew Cab should have off-road fans scouting out their favorite trails. The crew cab trucks won't go into production until sometime during the second quarter of this year - with other bodystyles coming later in the year - but we have plenty of live images from Detroit for you to enjoy.
