1972 Chevelle SS with Original 454/365 HP engine, 400 Turbo Transmission, & 4:11 12-Bolt Rearend. The engine is freshly rebuilt with 9.0:1 compression .030 stock pistons, stock camshaft and original crankshaft. Also has new cam bearings, oil pump, & valve job on heads. The air conditioning system has been converted to R134 and also has a new condenser, dryer, & hoses (a/c & heater). The interior has new carpet, seat covers, door panels, seat belts, AM/FM stereo, front and rear speakers, & quartz clock. New polished SS reconditioned smog system w/ new tubes & hoses, ceramic coated exhaust manifolds, new exhaust system (stock mufflers). The transmission has new filter, gasket & fluid. The sheet metal on the car is mostly new. There are new fenders, door skins, full 1/4 panels, outer wheel tubs, floor pans, trunk pan, lid, drop offs, & drip molding. DuPont Flame Orange Basecoat/Clear-coat. New rear bumper & SS emblem. New BF Goodrich radials G60-15 on original mag wheels. New brake drums & pads, front calipers, wheel bearings, & seals. New galvanized fuel tank & sending unit. New SS brake & fuel lines, master cylinder (silicon fluid), body mounts, radiator core (original tanks). New battery & cables. New windshield. New front & rear springs. Rebuilt front suspension with new ball joints & bushings. Lights all work including the dash lights. The car is an original orange exterior white interior, a/c, tilt wheel optioned car. It has just gone through a complete frame-off rotisserie restoration. 2015 Chevrolet Cruze spied on its home turf
Tue, 23 Apr 2013The next Chevrolet Cruze isn't set to go into production for about another year, and we're just now seeing prototypes of the new compact running around here in the States. Not much more has been revealed since we saw the car blasting through the snow in Europe, but we can still clearly see new design elements like the larger grille, slimmer headlamps and redesigned taillamps.
Our spy photographers worked up a composite image of this Cruze prototype alongside the current model, and here, we can clearly see some big visual changes are in store for the new model. The 2015 Cruze's hood slopes downward more dramatically, the windshield is more heavily raked, and the roofline looks more fluid overall. The next-generation Cruze will ride on the new global Delta platform that will also underpin other General Motors vehicles like the Chevrolet Volt and Equinox.
As for what's under the hood, we expect the normal range of gasoline four-cylinder engines (both naturally aspirated and turbocharged), and the compact's new turbodiesel four should carry over, as well. Have a look at the full brace of spy photos in the gallery above.

Sat, 16 Feb 2013Think you've waited long enough for this? If so, then you'll want to savor the high-res photos we've so far been given of the 2014 Chevrolet SS, the first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan from The Bowtie in 17 years.
We all know its our version of the brand new VF-model Holden Commodore, but what's under the hood that earns the appellation "performance?" A 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine producing 415 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. That's 35 hp and lb-ft less than the same engine is expected to produce in the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. Chevrolet says the sedan will get from 0-to-60 miles per hour "in about five seconds."
Shifting comes courtesy of a six-speed automatic with paddles on the steering wheel, while stopping arrive via four-piston Brembo calipers up front, a single sliding piston in back. The forged aluminum wheels are 19-inchers all around, each set supporting right around 50 percent of the sedan's weight, and the aluminum hood and trunk are meant to keep the center of gravity low.

What did you expect when Chevrolet said it was bringing a new Corvette variant to the 2014 New York Auto Show? Maybe a sticker and trim package, like the C6 Corvette Grand Sport or a tie-in deal like the Black Widow car from Chicago? On the opposite end, maybe there was an even more hardcore Z06 waiting in the wings. Who knew?
