Here is a very cool, Supercharged 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS454 in good condition inside and out. This is a recent trade in to us. This is an original SS 454 car that has had some slight modifications to make it an awesome over 600hp street machine. It has a fully built blown 454ci engine with Dart aluminum heads and dual quads pushing over 600hp. This car is an animal and very fast and fun to drive. The car is over all very clean and nice but needs just alittle TLC to be in truly excellent condition. It has a solid body and is rust free. The reserve is set very low on the car and with all the equipment it has, it could not be built for the price we're asking!! It's loaded with the following equipment:
This is a very clean cruiser that can be driven the way it is or with alittle extra TLC it would be truly excellent! The exterior of this car is in overall great condition. It is finished in red with black stripes and looks very good for a driver. The paint has a couple small flaws in it, which are pictured in the ad. There are a couple stars in the hood, some flaws in the stripes on the hood and a crack in the body work on the lower right rear rocker. The body is solid and very straight. The floors and trunk floor are original and rust free. It has always been a southern car. All the chrome and stainless on the car is in good original condition and looks good. The front bumper is bent alittle. The grill has a small piece broken. This car really shows nicely overall! It has a very clean, what looks to be an all original black interior in it that looks great. The front seats do have some small tears and the steering wheel has a couple cracks in it. Everything works on the car except the interior lights, heater, clock, radio and horn. The black vinyl top is in great shape. Mechanically, this little beauty runs and drives awesome. The engine compartment is very clean. It has a fully built, high performance 454ci with Dart Pro 1 aluminum heads, Dyer's Supercharger and dual Holly 4bbls that runs awesome. The automatic transmission that shifts great. The suspension was rebuilt front and rear. It has Heidts tubular arms and Hotchkis sway bar and handles excellent. The car has Hooker headers with dual exhaust that sounds awesome and shakes the ground. This was an original A/C car but all the air stuff is missing. It also has a Be Cool aluminum radiator with dual electric fans to cool it off. It is also sitting on a nice set of polished American Racing wheels with Mickey Thompson ET streets. This is an awesome muscle car with thousands invested. All in all, this is a great car that needs nothing to drive, enjoy the way it sits. It is super fun to drive!! Recharge Wrap-up: Detroit Electric teaser video, Nissan Leaf is Good Housekeeping "Tried and Tested"
Mon, Oct 20 2014Detroit Electric has a new teaser video and has updated its brand in preparation of the introduction of the SP:01. The refreshed logo uses a blue and white color palette, and the company has also given its website a new look. The teaser video, which gives a sneak peek at the exterior of the SP:01, shows the car taking form in the midst of an electrical storm. Watch the video or learn more in the press release below. Abengoa is celebrating the grand opening of a commercial scale cellulosic ethanol plant in Hugoton, KS. When running at full scale, the refinery will produce up to 25 million gallons of ethanol a year. The plant will also generate enough electricity to power itself and put some back into the grid. Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz was on hand for the dedication, saying, "Every gallon of cellulosic ethanol produced and used to fuel our vehicles reduces the impact of harmful greenhouse gas emissions by greater than 60 percent as compared to conventional gasoline." Learn more at Energy.gov. Good Housekeeping has named the Nissan Leaf one of its "Tried and Tested" vehicles. The magazine called the Leaf SL its top "Roomy Electric" vehicle in its November issue. The magazine's research institute evaluated the EV based on track and road driving, ergonomics and convenience features. Good Housekeeping made note of the car's "impressive" range, but according to Nissan's Fred Diaz, "the real beauty of the Nissan Leaf is that it's roomy and, best of all, fun to drive." Read more in the press release below. Quasar Energy Group produces compressed natural gas from sewage and garbage. It uses things like grains leftover from brewing Budweiser, food waste from a baseball stadium and sewage sludge to produce the gas through anaerobic digestion. The compressed gas can then be used to power cars like Chevrolet's Bi-fuel Impala, which goes on sale later this year. Chevrolet likens the situation to the Delorean time machine in the Back To The Future movie series, which uses garbage to fuel its fusion generator. Hot Wheels' Twitter-enabled vending machine coughs up free Camaro diecasts
Wed, 27 Feb 2013There are still plenty of companies that haven't gotten the whole social media thing down pat yet, but Hot Wheels isn't one of them. During the recent Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto, Hot Wheels created a lot of buzz for itself by using a vending machine filled with Chevrolet Camaro models, but instead of money to get the cars, show attendees just had to use Twitter.
To get the free car, people were asked to send a tweet to Hot Wheels Canada saying what they liked about the new Hot Wheels Edition Camaro, and including the #ChevyCIAS hashtag. This seemed to be a popular marketing tool, too, as AdWeek reports that the @HotWheelsCanada account more than tripled in followers during the course of the 10-day show. Looking ahead, this could open up even more innovative marketing possibilities using social media.
