1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396/375 HP with M21 close ratio four speed transmission.

Frame off restoration completed within the last 4 years.  Less than 500 miles have been put on this pristine vehicle since the restoration that included all mechanical components, interior and exterior.

The drive train is date and period correct for this particular vehicle. This car was nut & bolt restored to the highest standard using NOS and reproduction parts.

Exterior:  The body was hand sanded and blocked several times before spraying in correct GM Cortez Silver.  The paint is absolutely perfect.   Prior to paint this car was restored using a rotisserie with no expense spared.  All suspension parts and frame pieces were powder coated.

It has undergone a complete frame off restoration including every bolt and nut.  The bottom of the car and the wheel wells are nearly as clean as the top of the car.  Body work was done by the nationally recognized car builder, Craig Hopkins in Cleveland Georgia.

Interior:  The entire interior including seat covers, carpet, trim, headliner, and door panels are in perfect condition.  Even the chrome on the various interior trim pieces is excellent.

Engine:  396/375 HP.  The engine has less than 500 miles on it after a total rebuild that included blue printing to factory specifications. The stock engine has the correct carburetor, engine manifolds, square port heads and all other original parts. It has 11:1 factory compression and uses the correct solid mechanical lifters and camshaft.   Although not a numbers matching car, the engine is dated correctly.

The original odometer shows 18,369 miles, although I doubt it is 100% accurate.  Car fax reports are not available for cars this old.

Transmission:  Original M21 close ratio 4 speed rebuilt less than 500 miles ago.  Correct factory shifter.

Tires:  The tires are new BF Goodrich Radial TAs, size 245/60-R14.

Warranty:  Sold As-Is No Warranty.

Watch a 2015 Corvette Z06 run the quarter in 11.7 seconds

Sun, Dec 28 2014

We're not writing about this because it's an amazing run, we're writing about it because it appears to be the first run. Someone took a 2015 Corvette Z06 to Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown, Texas and blasted it down through the quarter mile. It's still wearing the dealer number in wax pen on the windshield and dealer plates, so this example is fresh from the mold. It's also a seven-speed manual. General Motors said the row-your-own Z06 can do the 'strip in 11.2 seconds, and they undoubtedly had a professional driver and more than one run to set that time. To have Just Some Guy show up at the raceway and do an 11.7 at 120.54 mph on his first run means we expect good things to come as Z06s get delivered to their owners. Check out the run in the video.

Cadillac Celestiq, Lyriq, Hummer, other future GM electric cars: Here's everything we saw at ‘EV Day’

Wed, Mar 4 2020

WARREN, Mich. — Today, General Motors held an “EV Day” event at its Warren, Michigan, campus to present its new “Ultium” battery technology, modular electric vehicle architecture and soon-to-come electric vehicles. Unfortunately, we were forbidden from bringing cameras into the event, so while we canÂ’t show you what we saw, we can tell you more about it. While we saw the previously teased Cadillac EV (which we now know to be called the Lyriq) and the GMC Hummer pickup teased during the Super Bowl, there were a number of other future cars at the event, which GM President Mark Reuss assured us are all real vehicles in the works. The biggest surprise came at the end of the event, though, in the Cadillac Celestiq electric sedan, which Reuss described as a future flagship that would be hand-built “very locally.” It had been hiding under a dark sheet all morning, with the front and rear illuminated Cadillac emblems shining from underneath. When the wraps came off, we saw a long, white, four-seat fastback sedan. The 23-inch wheels were pushed out to the very corners of the car, giving it what appeared to be a very long wheelbase. The model on the stage had no side mirrors or visible door handles. The grille mirrored that of the Lyriq crossover next to it, with integrated lighting in lieu of the usual mesh or slats youÂ’d see in an internal combustion car. The entire roof, all the way until it tapered to the tail of the vehicle, was tinted glass. In back, vertical tail lighting ran down the C-pillar before turning rearward across the top of the trunk. Inside, everything below the beltline of the windows — essentially all but the headrests and top portion of the steering wheel, was hidden from view. Behind the Celestiq, a large digital display showed a rendering of its interior. The dash consists of a pillar-to-pillar curved LED display serving as both instrument panel and infotainment system. Protruding forward between the front seats was another touchscreen that appeared to house some more controls, with open area, probably for storage, below it. The rear seats had the same sort of touchscreen between them. Built into the back of the front seats were a pair of rear-seat entertainment screens, much like we saw in the Lyriq. The door panels blended wood, metal and animated lighting to give character and a sense of opulence. GM interior design manager Tristan Murphy was on hand to tell us a bit more about the Celestiq.

Officially Official: Chevrolet replaces Daewoo name in Korea

Chevrolet Camaro in Korea - Click above for high-resolution image

There once was a time when Daewoo was one of the biggest companies in South Korea. It was larger than both LG and Samsung, and second only to Hyundai. But these days the name is all but gone.
