Up for sale is this Rare and now Classic car. I have a ALL ORIGINAL Non Smoker 1993 Chevrolet Caprice Classic LTZ. It is completely Loaded and has the optional 5.7 litre engine with limited slip rear end!! The Caprice Classic has the gorgeous color combo, burgundy exterior with burgundy leather interior. It has a drivers side airbag, PW, PL, PS, P seats, P mirrors, P antenna, A/C, cruise and tilt wheel. It will come with three sets of keys plus two factory remotes, which I could not program to vehicle. It also has the original Silver Series Bose radio cassette and original power antenna, that works great. The A/C is ice cold!! This Caprice was set up like a police vehicle, with a HD frame, HD radiator, HD brakes, HD exhaust and has the Certified Digital Speedometer with gauge package!! The Caprice LTZ is getting harder to find, especially in great shape!! The car has had a recent tune up, A/C compressor replaced, new springs, rear end fluid change with proper limited slip additive added and new seal. The car also had the U joint and pinion seal replaced recently along with two new all season tires and a four wheel alignment done. The car does have the tow package and can tow up to 5,000 ibs, when proper hitch is installed!!The car has no Rust issues at all and has just a (minimal) amount of surface rust here and there on the underside!! The brakes are good along with the other two tires. The drivers side power door lock will lock but not unlock without a key or manually doing it. There is a dent on the hood, just above the drivers side headlight, that was there when I bought the car but its not too bad and can be fixed. There are some spots on the front bumper, where touch up paint was used, esp at the corners. There are some minor dings and light scratches here and there but again that should be expected for a 20 year old car!! The interior has two areas to talk about. Whoever owned the car previously, must have had something stuck to the dash and they must have pulled it off and doing so, it left a 1" X 2 1/2" piece of the dash missing plus there are two cracks in the same area but I recently fixed the area with a piece of dash, the same color found on an older GM vehicle in a local auto yard. It looks better but again not perfect and its not too bad either. The other area is a couple small holes, the size of a pea, in the drivers seat, which again, I just glued them back together and it looks fine. There are also a few light scratches in the same area but again, not bad. The horn at the steering wheel, did not work, when I bought the car, so the dealer added a temp horn button, down below, which works good but if someone wanted to investigate the steering wheel and get it to work, great!! Other than that, this Caprice has a lot of life left in her and can be made into a show car!! It looks, runs and drives great!! I am not sure who the previous owner(S) were or where the car came from originally but it has been well taken care of and thank God for that!! I have only owned it for 3 months now, for work purposes and have averaged around 20-21 MPG combined, which is not too bad for a 4,000 lb car. The car averaged about 7,600 miles per year, over 20 years. That's not bad at all. I have put 8,500 miles on her, since I have owned it and have had only one issue, a flat tire, which really was no issue!! I tried to tell the story of this car, to the best of my ability, with what I know and have no hidden issues, that some people tend to hide from a potential buyer but not here!! I will also include a huge 1993 Caprice Shop Manual, that I bought recently. Thank you and good luck to the winning bidder!!

Autoblog Minute: VW finds CO2 'irregularities', Takata dropped by automakers, SEMA recap
Fri, Nov 6 2015Volkswagen's diesel emissions scandal gets a new wrinkle, US regulators hit Takata Corporation with a substantial fine, and we head to Las Vegas for a look at tuner paradise at the 2015 SEMA show. Autoblog senior editor Greg Migliore reports on this edition of Autoblog Minute Weekly Recap. Show full video transcript text [00:00:00] Volkswagen's diesel emissions scandal gets a new wrinkle. US regulators issue a significant fine to Takata Corporation. And we take a peek inside tuner paradise at the 2015 SEMA show. I'm senior editor Greg Migliore and this is your Autoblog Minute Weekly Recap. The VW diesel emissions scandal, first brought to light in September, gets a new wrinkle, as an internal investigation by the German automaker revealed [00:00:30] irregularities in CO2 emissions that could affect approximately 800,000 vehicles. VW estimates the issue could pose a 2-billion euro economic risk. VW claims that most of the vehicles affected have diesel engines, but industry analysts say a 1.4-liter gas engine is also affected. VW says that fuel consumption figures were set too low during the CO2 certification process. During all of this, sales of some diesel-powered Volkswagen, Audi, and Porsche models [00:01:00] have been halted. Takata Corporation is back in the news in connection with its deadly airbag scandal. Federal regulators fined Takata $70 million. If the parts supplier does not comply, the fine could balloon to $200 million. Takata was also dropped this week by its biggest customer, Honda. And now, Toyota and Mazda will be following Honda's lead in dropping Takata. We're also hearing that Mitsubishi and Subaru are considering a switch in air-bag inflator suppliers. SEMA 2015 [00:01:30] came and went. We saw offerings from Mopar, like the AWD Challenger concept. Honda unveiled a Ridgeline that it will race at the Baja 1000, which gives us a hint at what future production model could look like. The celebrity presence was also felt in Vegas as it always is. Kid Rock brought a Duramax Diesel Chevy Silverado, and Acura restored and presented Ludacris with his now famous 1993 Acura Legend. Those are the highlights from the week that was. Be sure to come back on Saturday for my full recap, [00:02:00] where I'll have some added insight into Hyundai's foray into the luxury sector. For Autoblog, I'm Greg Migliore. Autoblog Minute is a short-form video news series reporting on all things automotive.
Pony-car sales war: Mustang vs. Camaro vs. Challenger [UPDATE]
Fri, Jul 3 2015Update: An earlier version of this story misstated the 2015 Mustang's weight when compared with previous models. Additionally, we have added comments from Chevrolet in the text. The Ford Mustang has blown past the Chevy Camaro as America's best-selling pony car, and in June, it wasn't even close. The 'Stang outsold the Camaro 11,719 to 8,611 cars. The Camaro remained ahead of the Dodge Challenger, which sold 6,845 units. Even though the Camaro did post an 11.5-percent sales improvement in June, the competition is arguably stronger than at anytime since the 1970s muscle-car era. The Mustang's sales leapt a whopping 53.6 percent, while the Challenger saw a gain of 56 percent. Several factors are weighing down Camaro sales, including its lame duck status. Chevy is launching a new generation of the Camaro this year that's more than 200 pounds lighter, offers a new turbo four-cylinder engine option, and has a nicer interior than the outgoing model. Put simply: wait a few months and you can get a better car. It's also unlikely Chevy will jack up the price much, as it's historically kept the Camaro within reach of everyday enthusiasts. While Chevy fans wait in anticipation for their new sports car, Ford and Dodge have downshifted. The new Mustang, which went on sale last year, is faster and more sophisticated than its predecessor. It also offers a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder, which Ford has credited for the Mustang's recent uptick and makes up 36 percent of the car's sales, Ford analyst Erich Merkle said. View 17 Photos June's performance allowed the Mustang to widen its sales gap with the Camaro this year. Through the first five months, Ford sold 68,290 Mustangs, a 54.4-percent increased compared with 2014. Chevy sold 42,593 Camaros, an 8.7-percent decrease. The Challenger – long the No. 3 pony car in sales volume – has seen its sales surge 41 percent this year to 37,011 units. Spokesman Monte Doran said Chevy expected that 2015 would be a "relatively soft year" for the Camaro. "Mustang is taking advantage of years' worth of pent-up demand for an independent rear suspension," he said. "When Camaro introduced an IRS, in 2009, it helped make us the best-selling performance car in America.
