I am selling my 1967 Chevy Camaro SS. The body and interrior are in the same condition as the day I bought the car in 1999. The previous owner did have some restoration work done but exactly what was done I don't know. I can tell that the rear quarter pannels were replaced at some point and the car was repainted.
There are some chips in the paint on the front nose and the passenger door so it could use a new paint job. Also, there is a spot near the antenna where the paint has lifted (probably a little rust below) but the area has never spread since I have owned the car. I have noticed some superficial rust below the trunk floormat but all of the sheet metal is solid. The body and subframe is in good shape considering the age of the car but one or two body mounts may need a little tending to. The fiberglass hood also has a crack in it and the hide-away headlight doors don't work. The interrior is in great shape except the instrument panel has a couple of cracks in it where it screws to the dash board. Note that there are NO aftermarket gauges or tachometers butchered to the dash or held onto the steering column with some plumbing hose clamp. Some of the stitching in the front passenger seat has failed but it could most likely be fixed easily. Also, the speedometer cable broke about a year ago. This car passed inspection when registered in Connecticut with no issue and its condition has not changed or deteriorated since then. I have never driven it in bad weather or in the winter. These are all of the problems with the car that I have noticed. The car otherwise presents itself very well in my opinion. It is a very straight car without dents.
The engine and transmission have been changed and are therefore not original components.

Engine:
350 smallblock with about 11:1 compression ratio, (runs good on 93 octane gas but loves 94 or higher)
Ported and polished heads with triple angle valve job, fairly radical hydraulic lifter cam with 3,500 to about 6,000 rpm powerband (engine idles rough but drives great as a street car)
Intake manifold is a victor jr single plenum, Carburetor is an 830cfm double pumper holley w/anular discharge venturies. Electronic MSD distributor.

Exhaust:
Nothing really special here, your typical dual exhaust system with headers. It does however have a set of gate valves that can be opened under the car to bypass the mufflers but the valves do need new handles.

Transmission:
turbo 350 rebuilt with a shift kit installed. Transmission leaks a small amount of fluid if the car sits (a few drips will appear on the ground from time to time but the leak is so minimal that I never found it to be a priority to fix) A rather expensive Gear Vendor underdrive/overdrive unit is coupled to the transmission tailshaft effectively giving you 6 gears to shift through if desired.

Rearend:
I installed an auburn gear limited slip differential with 3:73 gears in the original rearend housing. When you engage the overdrive unit on the transmission, the car acts as if it has 2:73 gears which is great for the highway.

Brakes:
Aftermarket power front disc brakes with an adjustable proportioning valve for the factory rear drum brakes.

Other:
A 94 amp alternator w/electronic regulator, 3 core radiator, AM FM casette radio

Warantee info:
This automobile is being sold AS IS with no warantee of any kind.

Payment:

If you are the winning bidder I expect you to pay for the vehicle within 7 days of the auction ending or it will be relisted. Payment must be in the form of a certified check. I must receive the check before I will allow you to take possession of the vehicle.

Shipping:

You are responsible to arrange for pick up and shipping of vehicle. The car is at a residential address and is not currently registered. That means your shipper needs to have the ability to pick up the vehicle at a residential address.

One thing I forgot to mention, The Camaro won't be available for pickup by the winning bidder until August 29. This is due to a scheduling error on my part. I apologize to the auction winner in advance.

Next-generation Chevrolet Colorado breaks cover in new spy photos

Tue, May 25 2021

The next-generation Chevrolet Colorado broke cover in this fresh set of spy photos this week, giving us a glimpse of what to expect when GM's compact trucks are replaced in what is expected to be either 2023 or 2024.  Thanks to its still-extensive camouflage, this prototype doesn't give away a ton about the new Colorado's styling, but in profile, it appears as though the swoopy, upswept rear cab line might become a thing of the past. We wouldn't be surprised to see the new Colorado adopt a more angular, squared-off look more akin to that of its big brother, the half-ton Silverado. The Silverado is also expected to donate what may be the new Colorado's only powertrain. Taking a cue from Ford, Chevy is expected to offer the next-gen Colorado with just a turbocharged four-cylinder engine — the new corporate 2.7T in this instance. The large, 310-horsepower four-pot can easily take over for the 3.6L V6 currently available in the GM twins and one-up the 270-hp Ranger to boot. This would mark the end of both a V6 and diesel option being offered in GM's midsize trucks, and tracks with the company's slow, silent effort to eliminate lower-margin models. We say "trucks" because, well, whatever happens with Chevy is likely to translate to GMC. The Canyon will be due for replacement at the same time, and will likely carry on as a re-skin of Chevy's offering. We're not yet certain exactly when Chevrolet will start selling the next-gen Colorado, but given the reasonably complete state of this prototype, we expect it won't be long now. Rumors suggest it could hit the market in 2023 as a 2024 model.  Related Video: The Best Midsize Pickup: Ranger vs Gladiator vs Tacoma vs Colorado

Personal testimonies show real-world effect of plugging in with Chevy Volt

Mon, Jan 13 2014

At this point, there are tens of thousands of individual stories about what it's like to live with a Chevrolet Volt. But it also remains informative to take a look at one of these in depth. For example, one Atlanta-area Volt owner says he's cut his cents-per-mile ownership costs by almost 40 percent compared to his previous car primarily because of his ability to drive almost all the time on electric power. Jeffrey Cohen told Clean Technica that he put about 14,000 miles on his Volt extended-range plug-in hybrid for the year that ended October 2013, and that more than 92 percent of those were on electrons. He estimates his "lifetime" miles per gallon rating at a whopping 384 mpg, a figure pushed upward by the fact that he installed a Level 2 charger at home while his employer added an external 110-volt charger at work. Cohen is spending 45 cents a mile for his car, compared to 73 cents in his Infiniti M35. As a result, he's spending 45 cents a mile for his car, compared to 73 cents a mile with his prior vehicle, an Infiniti M35. About two-thirds of those Volt costs are for the $349-a-month lease payments, while 15 percent is insurance, 11 percent is for the charger and seven percent for the gas and electricity that actually powers the car. Helping lower that last figure is an overnight electricity rate that's about 10 percent of Cohen's daytime rate. Chevy parent General Motors hopes such testimonies will re-trigger sales for the Volt in 2014. Last year, GM sold 23,094 Volts, down 1.6 percent from 2012. We expect our readers have similar stories they'd like to share in the Comments.
