Up for auction is my 2000 Z28 Camaro.    This car is in Very Clean condion with no rust anywhere!  Car appears on the bottom to look brand new......no need to ask for photos...NO RUST Whatsoever!

I work as the general manager of a car dealership in Brooklyn, |NY  and I have owned this car for a year and a half.   I love it..I would never sell it...but parking a car like this in Brooklyn, NY is always an issue as well as very expensive.   I have done some research on this particular car, and in one of the GM Fourms  after revealing and checking the vin, that if this car if parked next to 100,000 Z28's, that this car would be 1 in 100,000.   They gave me 290 Pro codes; which I could not make heads or tails of and I just left it at that.

Now for the Car:

The front seats were re-upholstered; they did a fair job, there are no holes, the seat does show a little wear, the inside of the car is perfect other then that..the dashbord, the carpet, the rear seat, the windows, everything is really nice.   I completely service this car from front to back..anything that was worn, was replaced.  The car sits on brand new Cuhmo tires..new KYB Struts front and back, sway bar bushings, sway bars, nothing was overlooked..if it was worn, it was changed.   This car drives perfect, it goes down the street perfectly straight, this car has never been in an accident and it feels like it was always driven maturally and was cared for.  The Posy-traction works perfectly as it should without noticing anything other then you have a good grip on the road...in other words..no chattering and the drive chain feels really good.

Air Conditioner works as it should...Nice and cold.   All the lights work as they should..no signs of wear and tear on the front or rear light fixtures.

This car is ALOT of fun to drive and it would make somebody an excellent weekend car to have fun with..it's just becoming too expesive for me with insurance and parking for me to hold onto it at this point.

I wish everyone all luck on the bidding..I have set the reserve reasonable and started the auction at $1 !

As we are selling this car from our dealership, we are also going to include a LIFETIME Drivetrain warranty..good for as long as the next registered owner owns this car for..which covers, engine and transmision repairs and replacements.    Contact us for futher information on this car at 718-759-6990 or E-mail us.

Please Note: This car is for sale locally and this auction could be ended early.

"Turbo" Chevrolet Camaro is a 700-HP fantasy car come to life [w/video]

Thu, 07 Feb 2013

For a concept car built to promote an animated movie about a snail that wants to go racing, this thing ain't half bad. The outsized monster you see before you started life as a Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, and then went through a big-time Hollywood makeover before being positioned on the Chevrolet stand here in Chicago.
This 2013 "Turbo" Camaro Coupe is getting the promotion machine ratcheted up for a new DreamWorks tale by the name of, you guessed it, Turbo. Coming this summer, the movie will follow one snail's quest to become a race driver worthy of making the cut at the Indy 500. Like many DreamWorks vehicles before it, we're guessing that the petrolhead snail will star in a movie that adults (especially racing fans) with have no trouble watching with their kids. Check out the trailer below to see if you agree.
As for the car, we're told that it is "instrumental" in transforming Turbo from snail into racer. Helping the beastly pony car in this mighty task, is an ankle-cracking front splitter matched by a ungodly huge rear wing out back, a COPO hood and a supercharged (yes, supercharged) V8 engine making more than 700 horsepower. 24-inch wheels all the way around - 10-inches wide in front and 15-inches wide in back - should allow the "Turbo" Camaro to hook up with ease, as well.

Tarantino's stolen Chevy Malibu from Pulp Fiction recovered after 19 years [w/video]

Mon, 29 Apr 2013

Quentin Tarantino fans will likely remember Vincent Vega's cherry 1964 Chevrolet Malibu Convertible in Pulp Fiction. In a movie drenched in automotive references, the Malibu is very nearly a character in and of itself, and it serves as the subject of Vega's soliloquy about the kind of man who vandalizes another's automobile. It also happened to be Tarantino's personal car when the film was shot, and was apparently stolen shortly after production wrapped. Now police have located the car some 19 years later.
As it turns out, the thieves cloned the vehicle identification number from another '64 Malibu and had the car registered under the new digits. It was then sold to an unsuspecting buyer. Police happened upon the duplicate VINs while investigating another potential theft. Right now, it's unclear whether Tarantino has taken possession of the Chevrolet, if it has remained in the possession of the fraud victim, or whether it's caught somewhere in the gears of justice. Either way, you can catch Vega's memorable thoughts on the car keying in the Pulp Fiction clip below. But consider yourself warned: the video contains explicit language as Not Safe For Work as it comes.

Pushing Back: GM expanding Chevrolet into Korea, Daewoo out

Chevrolet Camaro goes to South Korea - Click above for high-res image
General Motors decided several years ago to begin heavily promoting Chevrolet as its global mainstream brand even in markets where its existing brands like Opel and Daewoo were a dominant force. Today, at the Busan Motor Show in South Korea, GM Daewoo president Mike Arcamone announced that the Camaro would lead the way in GM's efforts to market Chevrolet in South Korea.
For now at least Chevrolet and Daewoo-branded vehicles will coexist in the Korean market. However, while we were in China last week GM officials told us that the Daewoo brand, which has been somewhat tainted by past quality issues, would eventually be phased out in favor of Chevrolet. When the new Aveo launches next year it will likely be badged as a Chevrolet even though GM Daewoo is in charge of engineering the car.
