Up for auction is one 1970 Split Camaro bumper. I found this Camaro in a farmers barn. It's been Parked for over 20 years the liceanse plates expired in 1993. This camaro is A project builder car. It does not run and will have to be towed or trailered to it's new home. As far a I can tell this is a numbers matching car. I got all the info from Nastyz28.com This car was built at the Van Nuys California plant in mid to late January. The first Camaro built in January 1970 was car # 500001 and the last camaro built in January 1970 was car #502995 The last 6 of the vin is 502925 That puts this Camaro being built 70 cars before the end of January 1970 and the 2924 camaro built in January 1970. The Original motor is disassembled and will need rebuilt it's a standard bore and is a 350 small block with the vin#70L502925 stamped on the block Casting # 3970014 with a date code of J159 October 15th 1969 the engine suffix code is CNN = 1970 350 Camaro. Both head casting #'s are 3932441 with a date code's of L119 December 11th 1969 and a date code of A1470 January 14th 1970, the intake casting # is 3927184 with a date code of F89 june 8th 1969, The crank casting # is 3932442, The only Casting #'s I can find on the Transmission are 8640620 , 19C111205 and CFD1 It is a TH350 automatic, The car has a 10 bolt rear-end, I took the motor, automatic transmission, grill and radiator driveline out of the car as I was going to soda blast the whole car and rebuild it. But I just don't have the time for any more project cars. but I have all the Original parts I removed. The car will need both rear lower Quarters and the center trunk pan. The floors are all good. Needs fronts seats recovered, a headliner, and carpet, The back seats not ripped and just need cleaned up, The buyer is responsible for vehicle pickup or shipping, I will help you or your shipper load.
Please ask any Questions. This will make someone a nice Split Bumper Camaro.
NOTE: I have got a few Questions about the Split bumpers on this Camaro. This is a Base model camaro Not A RS Or SS Model. And It is listed as a base model No were does it say it's an RS Or SS model. The Base model Camaro sport coupe could be ordered with the appearance package that included split bumpers and special trim items. Available in combination with any of the other packages. I got this and all other info listed from nastyz28.com I have listed it as a base model and being sold as a base model. I hope this helps every one I want you to all know your bidding on a Base model Camaro. I'm going to pull the seats and see if I can find the build sheet. Thanks for looking at my auction and if anyone could email me with any more info about this car that might help clear up some questions.

Then it's on to what Byron's had in the driveway for the past couple weeks, including a 2022 Chevy Corvette and a 2022 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Xtreme Recon. Best car infotainment systems: From UConnect to MBUX, these are our favorites
Sun, Jan 7 2024Declaring one infotainment system the best over any other is an inherently subjective matter. You can look at quantitative testing for things like input response time and various screen load times, but ask a room full of people that have tried all car infotainment systems what their favorite is, and you’re likely to get a lot of different responses. For the most part, the various infotainment systems available all share a similar purpose. They aim to help the driver get where they're going with navigation, play their favorite tunes via all sorts of media playback options and allow folks to stay connected with others via phone connectivity. Of course, most go way beyond the basics these days and offer features like streaming services, in-car performance data and much more. Unique features are aplenty when you start diving through menus, but how they go about their most important tasks vary widely. Some of our editors prefer systems that are exclusively touch-based and chock full of boundary-pushing features. Others may prefer a back-to-basics non-touch system that is navigable via a scroll wheel. You can compare it to the phone operating system wars. Just like some prefer Android phones over iPhones, we all have our own opinions for what makes up the best infotainment interface. All that said, our combined experience tells us that a number of infotainment systems are at least better than the rest. WeÂ’ve narrowed it down to five total systems in their own subcategories that stand out to us. Read on below to see our picks, and feel free to make your own arguments in the comments. Best infotainment overall: UConnect 5, various Stellantis products Ram 1500 Uconnect Infotainment System Review If thereÂ’s one infotainment system that all of us agree is excellent, itÂ’s UConnect. It has numerous qualities that make it great, but above all else, UConnect is simple and straightforward to use. Ease of operation is one of the most (if not the single most) vital parts of any infotainment system interface. If youÂ’re expected to be able to tap away on a touchscreen while driving and still pay attention to the road, a complex infotainment system is going to remove your attention from the number one task at hand: driving. UConnect uses a simple interface that puts all of your key functions in a clearly-represented row on the bottom of the screen. Tap any of them, and it instantly pulls up that menu.
