1998 Chevrolet 4x4 Dually Extended Cab on 2040-cars
Centerville, Tennessee, United States
|
This is our 1998 Chevy Dually Extended Cab. I decided to go for a four door diesel, this is the only reason I'm parting with this Chevy. It is in EXCELLENT Condition and is very well taken care of. I keep it under the carport at All times. We properly maintain our vehicles so they are dependable. This one has gotten a new A/C compressor within the last 6,000 miles. NEW tires on the front as the frontend has had over $800.00 in new parts and alignment. Tires on the rear are worn only about a third. All aluminum wheels, toolbox and chrome tube bedrails and side steps. The engine is a 454 Vortec with plenty of torque and power. Heavy Duty stopping power with a hydraulic brake booster. Automatic Trans shifts properly. The odometer just recently turned 90,000 miles. The engine compartment is reasonably clean. There is no rust contaminating this truck other than usual surface rust on the undercarriage. This truck was bought from an individual that moved here from Texas, so there is no rust issues. The frame and body mounts are in near perfect condition. There is a factory gooseneck ball hookup in the bed and a class III frame mounted trailer tow hitch mounted underneath. The new owner will not be disappointed with this truck. The two way HAM radio pictured at the console does not come with the truck, Sorry. This truck is also for sale locally, So I reserve the right to end the auction early.

Man surprises girlfriend with C7 Corvette
Mon, 07 Oct 2013How would you react if someone just showed up at your place of work with a new, 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, complete with all the trimmings? While a lot of us would likely be flipping out over the still rare sports car, it's a fair bet many more of us would be responding like Pattie here, whose boyfriend stopped by her work to show her her new C7.
Speechless and shocked as she seems, she does end up taking it out for a drive, despite claiming she wasn't really outfitted to handle the car's seven-speed manual transmission at the time. From the sound of the video, we got the impression that she knew the car was coming, just not that it was anywhere near ready for delivery. It also, as Pattie says, seems like her boyfriend is more excited about the car than she (which, can we blame him?). Take a look down below for the full video of this C7 Stingray delivery.
Former Fisker CEO has some advice for Tesla Motors
Wed, Oct 22 2014Former Fisker Automotive CEO and ex-Chevrolet Volt vehicle-line director Tony Posawatz has some words of caution for Tesla Motors. The long-time automaker executive questions the California automaker's long-term viability – and gives some praise – in a talk with Benzinga, which you can listen to below. While the all-wheel-drive D that Tesla unveiled earlier this month in Southern California wowed a packed crowd, Posawatz (starting at around minute 4:45 in the interview) says Tesla would've been better off taking the resources it expended toward that Model S upgrade and directed them towards speeding up the development of a more affordable plug-in. Perhaps a number of investors agreed, since the company's stock fell the day after the D was announced. Posawatz says Tesla has been over-reliant on the sale of ZEV credits. Posawatz also says that Tesla has been over-reliant on the sale of zero-emissions vehicle credits in California for its earnings and questions whether the automaker will ever work at a large enough scale to sufficiently drive down costs and make consistent profits. Tesla CEO Elon Musk would take issue with this characterization. Posawatz first made his mark in the plug-in vehicle world when he was the vehicle-line director at General Motors for the Volt extended-range plug-in from 2006 to 2012. Later that year, he joined extended-range plug-in maker Fisker Automotive as its CEO, though quit that job during the summer of 2013 as the company was descending into insolvency. He joined the Electrification Coalition this past March. News Source: Benzinga Green Chevrolet Fisker Tesla Electric PHEV Tony Posawatz
New 2016 Chevy Volt ad arrives in time for Tomorrowland
Tue, May 12 2015As summer approaches, so do the blockbusters. We've already seen Furious 7 and The Avengers: Age of Ultron, while Mad Max: Fury Road arrives this week. Next week's big debut is Disney's Tomorrowland, starring George Clooney, and not surprisingly, the advertising campaign is kicking into gear. Perhaps attempting to capitalize on the high-tech theme of the flick, Chevrolet has teamed up with Disney for the second-generation Volt's very first commercial appearance. As we reported previously, the Volt will star on the big screen when Tomorrowland hits theaters, and it will be accompanied by the EN-V Concept. Take a look at the Volt's Tomorrowland spot, up top.
