2000 Chevrolet 2500 3/4 ton pick up. 136077 miles.3 door, bed liner, cap, power windows&doors, cruise control. 4x4. Good condition. Never smoked in. This was my father's truck, he passed away in July. My mother has decided to sell it, as she has never driven a vehicle this large and it's just been sitting with no one driving it. It hadn't been driven a lot before his death, as he had been ill since 2008 and drove very little. He drove it to work as a residential builder before that. My father bought it used from a Chevrolet dealership in MI approx 7yrs ago, Mom thinks they said it was a lease turn in. It has had the oil changed every 3000 miles since he owned it and was well maintained. There's nothing wrong mechanically that mom & I know of. The gas gauge bounces around when you first fill it up until it gets down to half tank and then seems to work fine and I have no idea what's causing that.There's a couple of places where the clear coat over the paint is peeling (see pictures). There's a dried contact glue stain on one floor mat. I drove it from Michigan last month to Nashville, TN where I live to sell it for my mother and it drove perfectly with no problems. I've never sold anything on ebay before, so if you need more info or pictures please email me and I will answer anything I can. You're welcome to do a carfax on it. GM recalls full-size truck, SUVs and vans over faulty shifter mechanism
Mon, 07 Jan 2013Twelve different General Motors vehicles from the 2013 model year, up to 54,686 units in total, are being recalled over two potential issues with their steering columns. The models in question, all full-size trucks, SUVs or vans, are the: Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT, Chevrolet Avalanche, Express, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, and GMC Savana, Sierra, Yukon and Yukon XL.
The affected vehicles were built with a fractured parking lock cable or "a malformed steering column lock actuator gear in the lock module assembly." As a consequence, they could shift out of park without the brake pedal being applied or with the key removed or in the off position.
A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration indicates that the recall should begin on January 17. GM will notify owners, at which time they can take their vehicles to their dealers for repair free of charge. Have a look at the bulletin below for more information.

What did you expect when Chevrolet said it was bringing a new Corvette variant to the 2014 New York Auto Show? Maybe a sticker and trim package, like the C6 Corvette Grand Sport or a tie-in deal like the Black Widow car from Chicago? On the opposite end, maybe there was an even more hardcore Z06 waiting in the wings. Who knew?
Chevy Corvette Stingray picks up another award, this time from Automobile
Mon, 18 Nov 2013The new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has picked up another buff book accolade after capturing Road and Track's Performance Car of the Year award. The seventh-generation of America's sports car (sorry Viper, Mustang, et al.) has been named Automobile Magazine's Automobile of the Year.
Automobile's award to the Corvette over competitors is the mirror image of its rival Motor Trend, which named the Cadillac CTS its car of the year over the C7. The CTS was, according to the Automobile team, the closest contender to the mighty Stingray. Great news all around for General Motors it seems.
As for what pushed the Corvette past its distant, four-door cousin, Automobile commended its excellent, 6.2-liter V8 calling the car's performance "simply awesome" while also remarking that it is easier to drive fast than ever before thanks to steering and chassis tweaks. Following a theme set by other publications, there were also plaudits for the interior, of all things, with the buff book complimenting the car's ergonomics and material quality, while also praising the standard seats.
