1986 Chevrolet Silverado k1500 4x4, 305 auto with overdrive. Has factory a/c that works. 6" Rough Country Lift kit with dual front steering stabilizer shocks. Has 36/13.50/15 Super Swaper iRock tires that have plenty of tread but do have some dry rotting. Truck was restored back to original condition approx. 10 years ago going back with factory color combo. Have reciepts and pictures of restoration. Truck has been stored most of its life and drove in the summer. Cab corners have minor rust bubbling back through and some minor dings and scratches but other than that body is in excellent condition. Interior is blue in color and has new carpet. Seat has a tear on drivers side. Dash pad and all other interior componets are in good shape. Power windows and locks that work. Truck runs great has had new Edlebrock carb and a new intake manifold put on. Has new mufflers and dual tailpipes. Has small exhaust leak believed to be exhaust manifold. Truck is in very good shape but not perfect. With minor tlc could be show quality. Chevy Trax engineer says GMC version possible
Mon, Dec 8 2014The Buick Encore is doing so well and its platform-mate the Chevrolet Trax has such good reviewer vibes going for it already, that a GMC version hasn't been ruled out. During the recent press launch, Automotive News asked lead engineer Al Manzor if the Trax could wear a GMC-branded suit, to which Manzor replied, "I think that is certainly possible." That's a long way from telling us anything about the probability of a GMC version of the Trax, and a legion of questions would need to be answered before it could happen. How would a GMC version be priced to leave room for the $26,465 GMC Terrain but not eat into sales of the $20,995 Trax or the $24,035 Encore? Or would that matter? Could it primarily be considered to encourage a new faction of The Yukon Set at the compact end, GMC buyers being famously committed to the marque? And of course, would there be a Denali version? It'll probably be a long while before we have any kind of answers, but if you want to see it happen, the door to your campaign of persuasion is at least ajar.
Mary Barra reportedly confirms GM's electric pickup truck plans
Tue, Apr 30 2019According to Motor Authority, CEO Mary Barra confirmed General Motors' intentions to build an electric pickup truck this week. Whether or not it would be an all-new vehicle is unknown. The news comes not even a week after Ford announced a $500 million investment in electric-vehicle startup Rivian. First, electric powertrains were integrated into cars. Then came the crossovers and the SUVs. Naturally, then, the next wave will be pickup trucks. Ford is set to produce an electric F-150, Rivian has the R1T, and now General Motors has reportedly confirmed its plans to introduce a competitor into the field. The article says the topic was brought up in a recent investor call as part of a brief overview of the automaker's electrification strategy. That's where the details end, however, as there is no indication of a timeline, what GM brand would carry the truck, or whether it would be an entirely new product or an adaptation of a current model. The latter seems most likely, which points to the Chevrolet Silverado or the GMC Sierra as possibilities. Chevrolet has been GM's electrification leader this decade with the Bolt and Volt, so an electric Silverado would align well with that messaging and branding. However, an electric pickup would likely be a pricier premium product, which could align it better with GMC.
