I'm selling my 1986 Chevrolet Scottsdale long-bed 2 wheel drive pickup. The truck has a clear Wisconsin title in my name. It runs and drives very good. It has 80,000 miles. It has a rebuilt 305 V8 engine with a four barrel carburator and a rebuilt transmission with 16,000 miles. Truck has excellent brakes. Brand new gas tank, brand new front bumper, newer battery and a new single exhaust. Paint is very nice with minor dings/chips in it (see photos). As far as I can see, there is no rust. Frame is excellent, however, that does have some surface rust on it. Tires are about 1/2 tread. AM/FM radio with a CD player. Interior is very nice. The truck bed is very nice. Has a rear trailer hitch. Tilt steering wheel. No air conditioning. The truck rides very nice--handles very good--very tight, just like a new truck with no rattles. NASCAR team owner Rick Hendrick loves buying first-built Chevrolet models for charity. He paid $1 million to buy the first production 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible and $650,000 to get the first 2014 Chevy Camaro Z/28. Hendrick's latest purchase happened at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Palm Beach where he got into a bidding war to pay $1 million to get the first 2015 Corvette Z06. The bidding came quick with the car reaching $100,000 within 3 seconds and hitting $500,000 in about 35 seconds. The money from the sale was donated to the Karmanos Cancer Institute. Think you've waited long enough for this? If so, then you'll want to savor the high-res photos we've so far been given of the 2014 Chevrolet SS, the first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan from The Bowtie in 17 years.
We all know its our version of the brand new VF-model Holden Commodore, but what's under the hood that earns the appellation "performance?" A 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine producing 415 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. That's 35 hp and lb-ft less than the same engine is expected to produce in the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. Chevrolet says the sedan will get from 0-to-60 miles per hour "in about five seconds."
Shifting comes courtesy of a six-speed automatic with paddles on the steering wheel, while stopping arrive via four-piston Brembo calipers up front, a single sliding piston in back. The forged aluminum wheels are 19-inchers all around, each set supporting right around 50 percent of the sedan's weight, and the aluminum hood and trunk are meant to keep the center of gravity low.
