Hello! I have a one of a kind 1970 C10 pickup for sale. Short wheel base, one owner In great condition for its age! This would be someone an easy restoration project! A little history about this truck... This truck was purchased new by a lady 8 miles from me at Fred Bennett Chevrolet on 6-22-1970. I have all the paperwork from where it was purchased new. The purchase contract/bill of sale show her paying $3623.87 NEW!!! Also have her payment contract where she financed it through GMAC with payments of $56.62 beginning on 7-20-70. This truck had always stayed in the family and the truck has a v-8, 307 and turbo 350 transmission, all matching numbers. I also have all the original warranty paperwork as well as the registration where she registered it with the state of Mississippi. This is very rare that you have all this stuff. It has always been taken care of and it starts right up and drives great. You can go anywhere in this truck. There is minimal rust on the c10. The front passenger fender is the only rusty part i see on the truck. See pictures. The truck is clean inside and out and it wouldn't take much to get this truck back to what it was new. This truck sat in the carport it's whole life and she only drove it a little over 7,000 miles. The engine sounds great and the transmission shifts smooth with no problems. The brakes stop the truck okay too. Underneath the truck is NOT rusty since it's been in the garage and not in a field like most you see. The windshield has a crack in it. The rest of the glass is good. The bed of the truck has no rust. The floor pans have no rust. Around the windshield and back glass has no rust. Like I said the only rust is at the bottom of the passenger fender. You can drive or fly in and drive this truck home. It's not everyday that you have all the paperwork and can tell the story about a vehicle from the time it drove off new, but on this one you will be able to. All lights in the dash light up and the am radio works. The tailgate handle works perfect opening and closing. The windshield wipers work as well as the horn. I don't normally deal in older vehicles but i can tell you if you are thinking of buying one this would be the one to buy, I will take good pics of the paperwork and the truck so you can see the original paperwork and condition of the truck. Don't miss out on this truck. I am setting this truck at a no reserve because I know it's a diamond in the ruff and I know it will bring what it's worth. Good luck bidding and I tried to describe this vehicle the best i could. The vehicle is being sold as- is with no warranty expressed or implied. MS residents have to pay 5% sales tax. There is NO document fees!!! The price you bid is the price you pay. Thanks and Good luck!!!!!

Three automotive tech trends to watch in 2018 and beyond

Thu, Dec 28 2017

Every year, technology plays a bigger and bigger role in the auto industry. To put things in perspective, 10 years ago iPod integration and Bluetooth were cutting-edge in-car innovations, and smartphones and apps weren't yet a thing since the first iPhone was only about six months old. And I can't recall anyone talking about autonomous cars. Compare that to today, with mainstream coverage of the auto industry dominated by autonomous technology, along with electrification and almost every move made by Tesla. These three topics were the most significant trends of car tech in 2017 and I believe they will continue to shape the auto industry in 2018 and beyond. Let's examine them. Full Autonomy Gets Closer to Reality While there were many developments this year that indicate we're inching closer to fully autonomous vehicles, I was behind the wheel for hours to witness one of them. In October I had the chance to test Cadillac Super Cruise on a 700-mile, 11-hour drive from Dallas to Santa Fe – and had my hands on the wheel for maybe 45 minutes max throughout the entire trip. Super Cruise is far from making the Cadillac CT6 or any GM vehicle fully autonomous, and has limitations such as functioning only on pre-mapped main highways. While it simply adds a layer of lane centering to adaptive cruise control, the technology will go a long way in making mainstream drivers more comfortable with letting machines take over. On a separate front, GM is pushing ahead with fully autonomous vehicles and announced last month that it plans to launch of fleets of self-driving robo-taxis in several urban areas in 2019. While most automakers are also in the race to make autonomous cars a reality, GM's turbocharging of its efforts appeared to be in response to Waymo, which announced just weeks earlier that its Early Rider Program in the Phoenix area would go completely driverless. The Early Rider Program launched last April, offering the public a chance to ride in Waymo's autonomous Chrysler Pacifica minivans. In this new phase of testing, Waymo is using its own employees as guinea pigs instead of the public while the vehicles operate without a human behind the wheel, and takes another giant step forward for fully autonomous driving.

2014 Corvette Stingray meets Tesla Model S in drag strip showdown

Wed, Jan 29 2014

They come from two different worlds and have little in common. The Tesla Model S P85 is the sportiest version of this paradigm-punching sedan from California, while the 2014 Corvette Stingray Z51 is a performance-enhanced version of Michigan's recently-updated sports car stalwart. The West Coast car seats five adults and eats electrons like Popeye eats spinach, the Easterner has two passenger places and, surprisingly, sips gasoline like one might bourbon. An attribute they do happen to share is extreme quickness. This similarity is all the excuse Drag Times needed to set the vehicles beside each other at the Palm Beach International Raceway for a bit of mano-a-mano quarter-mile combat. Fortunately enough, cameras were rolling for each of two bouts down the blacktop and the results recorded for our edification and enlightenment. The winner? We won't spoil it for you, but let's just say it's really, really close. How close? Scroll below and watch the video for yourself. Just be warned, the results may surprise you. Chevrolet Camaros at SEMA are a mobile accessory catalog

Wed, 06 Nov 2013

Chevy's goal at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas this week seems to be to show as much of its Performance and Accessories catalog as possible. That's why it brought three different Camaros - two with V8s and one powered by a V6 - with all of the best goodies from the catalog already fitted.
We gave a more in-depth recap of the Performance Camaro V8 Concept, the Performance Camaro V6 Concept and the Performance Garage Concept already, but we figured you'd like a short recap for each. It should be noted, though, that you can order all of the items you see here for your own Camaro, so be sure to take a long, hard look at our live galleries, just in case you're in the market for some mods.
Essentially, the Performance Garage Concept and the Performance V8 Concept are the same car - the only difference is that the later features a whole host of aesthetic tweaks in addition to its aftermarket, shorty exhaust headers and 2.75-inch exhaust. (The Performance Garage Concept has been usefully placed on its side; the better to see the new parts added to the vehicle.) The Performance V6 Concept is notable because, despite being a V6, there's no shortage of performance goodies fitted. All three of the Performance Camaros benefit from items from the Camaro ZL1, which can also be ordered through the catalog.
