Up for sale is my 1969 Chevrolet C10 Custom short bed pick up. The truck came from New Mexico so it was pretty much rust free and only needed the outer rocker panels replaced. Otherwise it had misc. dents and sun fade. Body and paint work alone was $5k. Truck was painted last summer. Inside the bed has minor dents so we repainted the same color but left the paint a flat color. I also replace all the body side moldings with new reproductions. All door weatherstrips including the vent windows, side marker lamps and tail lights and bezels. New windshield and both front and rear glass rubber seals. The bumpers and grille are original and I would call them driver quality. The truck has a stock 350 engine with a Edelbrock intake, Holley carb and a HEI distributor. 400 auto trans, power steering and factory air. The a/c is missing the compressor, hoses, and condenser. The a/c box is still in place. Suspension and drum brakes are still stock except the 3.5 and 5 inch dropped springs. Recent coil springs, ball joints, shocks, and Flowmaster exhaust system. Call or text with any questions, or send message thru Ebay. You are welcome to come see the truck in person or have it inspected by a third party. Truck is located near Chicago. I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime because I also have the truck listed locally. Thanks. Art 630-664-1161 See video http://youtu.be/drH3T64V6p0

GM sweetens military discount for Buick, Chevy and GMC
Sun, 06 Oct 2013American servicemen and women interested in a new vehicle from Chevrolet, Buick or GMC now have a bit more incentive to head down to their local dealer, as General Motors has announced plans to improve its military discount program.
The new GM Military Discount Program offers eligible consumers a new Chevy, Buick or GMC at invoice pricing, which in some cases can take very large chunks out of a car's retail price. When factored in with other incentives, most of which are available with the Military Discount, the bargains are thick on the ground for members of the US armed forces.
GM's Retail Sales and Marketing Support general manager, Chuck Thomson, said, "GM has long supported the military and military families, and we hope this simplified and enhanced discount will show our appreciation for their service and help make it easier for them to own one of our great new vehicles." The program is open to all active duty and reserve members in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, National Guard and Coast Guard, as well as veterans that have been out of the service for less than a year. Military retirees and their spouses are also eligible for the discount.
Corvette Stingray designer lists five goals of new exterior shape
Fri, 12 Apr 2013Redesigning an icon is a difficult task, especially when you've got a blank sheet of paper in front of you and the all-new C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is intended to be your final objective.
General Motors has released a new short video featuring Kirk Bennion of the Corvette's exterior design team, talking about the challenges of sculpting Chevrolet's new flagship sports car and the five goals the team had to keep in mind as it worked. In the end, Bennion's team had the pleasure of seeing their hard work take center stage as the Corvette captured the world's eyes at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year.
2015 Chevy Tahoe gets Police Patrol Vehicle treatment
Thu, 07 Nov 2013That was fast. Mere days after showing a Police Concept based on the 2015 Tahoe at the SEMA Show, Chevrolet has announced that it will build a PPV model based on the SUV to do battle with the Ford Police Interceptor Utility (Explorer) and Dodge Durango Special Service.
You'll recall that the Tahoe has been police staple for several years, predating both the Explorer and Durango police variants, so the fact that the new model would spawn a police variant is hardly surprising. Like the civilian model, the 2015 PPV benefits from a more efficient 5.3-liter, direct-injection V8 that pumps out 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. It also features more high-strength steel, offering better crash protection, on top of optional safety items like lane departure warning, forward collision alert and a Safety Alert Seat.
The press release is rather light on police-specific items, aside from the auxiliary battery, which keeps the myriad of electronics in a modern police car running even when the engine isn't. Lightbars, 17-inch steel wheels on Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires and a push bar round out the mods for the Tahoe PPV. The cabin features a revised center console and room for laptop and other equipment mounts.
