There are a lot of trucks listed online with a pretty paint job and a drivetrain than is substandard. This truck is the exact opposite of that! I have well over $20,000 invested in this truck. It has a 5.3 vortec engine with a 4l80E transmission. The engine has an LS6 intake, 85mm throttle body, LS6 cam, ARP headstuds, LS9 head gaskets, 42lb injectors and Aeromotive fuel rails. The transmission is a 4l80E, with an Edge Racing 3000rpm lockup converter. It has a Hughes aluminum pan and an aluminum driveshaft. It has a 12 bolt rear with posi and 3.73 gears. It has power steering, disc brakes on the front with a hydroboost master cylinder and dropped spindles. All of the suspension components have been replaced, front and rear. It has CPP anti-sway bars front and rear. It has Classic Auto Air air conditioning that works great! The air conditioning and the electric engine fan is controlled by the ecm just like a factory setup. It has a custom built 21 gallon fuel tank mounted under the bed with a 255lph pump inside. I have a shop that performs LS engine swaps and this is my personal truck. It has been on more than one Hotrod power tour. It gets 20mpg with the air on and will blow the tires off of it! You can fly in and drive this truck home anywhere! It has 15x10 corvette rally wheels on all four corners with 275/60/15 tires. The speedometer does not work right now because I had an Abbott cable x box hooked to it and recently removed and sold it to replace the gauges with electronic ones. Everything else works on the truck. The truck needs rocker panels , which I have new and will include with the truck. The tailgate needs replacing , but the rest of the truck is relatively rust free. It still has all of the original body mouldings on it. It is impossible to build this truck for what I am asking for it. I fully understand that if it had a new paint job, I could get a whole lot more for it. The only reason I am selling it is because I have the opportunity to buy a car that I have always wanted. All this truck needs is a paint job and interior and it would be perfect! If you are serious about buying the truck, email me at jct332wpd@aol.com and give me your name and phone number and I will call you to answer any questions you may have. This truck is listed locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime. Buyer will be responsible for pickup or shipping. Truck is sold as is with no warranty. It has been garage kept for the last 14 years. I'm sure there are a lot things I'm forgetting, so feel free to ask.

Autoblog Podcast #327:
First privately owned Corvette Stingray blitzes 1/4 mile in 12.23 at 114.88 mph
Tue, 01 Oct 2013Chevrolet's latest road rocket, the Corvette Stingray, is a very quick car. If one needs further proof of that, we recommend they take a look at this video from Hennessey of what is claimed to be the first privately owned C7 Corvette to make a pass down the quarter mile. Not just any quarter mile, mind, this black C7 blitzed its way down the tuner's primary testing dragstrip. The Chevrolet ran the quarter in just 12.23 seconds at 114.88 miles per hour. That is a very quick time for a stock car.
Equipped with the Z51 package and a six-speed automatic transmission, not only does the C7 run a solid time, but it does so with little to no drama. That won't last though, as Hennessey will likely return it to its owner with far more power - we just hope they show a drag run of the completed product. Take a look below to watch the C7's 12.23-second run on video.
Race Recap: 2013 Indianapolis 500 better than Bollywood; all the emotion, none of the music [spoilers]
Mon, 27 May 2013If the 2013 Indy 500 were a movie it would be the one expected to win all the little statues come awards season, and if it were an athlete it would have made spectators watch in awe as it broke record after record. And this kind of talk comes after last year's race was considered one of the best ever - the last lap hijinks in 2012 and Takuma Sato's crash leading to a podium ceremony straight out of a Golden Globes tearjerker.
But this year's race delivered more than anyone expected, from the 250,000 fans to the commentators to the IndyCar series itself and, finally, to the guy who hopped through a two-mile window on Lap 197 to take the lead and keep it until the end.
