Selling my 62 Chevrolet C10 pickup, has been a fun reliable truck that I can always depend on. I would drive it anywhere without any hesitation. Body has original paint that is faded from years of California sun. This is not some made up fake paint job to look old or some bull crap "stage 3" patina! Just an old original paint job that has a great look. From the research I have done since owning the truck, it has always been in Northern California all its life, the previous owners info will come with car to track down more history if necessary. Truck is 99% rust free, only has small pitting on driving side floor underneath the original rubber floor mate. All fenders, cab, doors and bed are rust free and solid with no cancer/rust. Never seen an original truck this solid or straight before that I have had. We get tons of compliments everywhere we go. 1962 Chevrolet, short bed, 1/2 ton, sbc 350 with 4 speed saginaw trans, transmission shifts well through the gears, Hurst chrome shifter, clutch engages nice through the gears with no slipping, hei distributor, hurst shifter, 10 bolt rear end, newer exhaust All original body, no rust or rot anywhere in truck, doors are solid with no rust, original paint, floors solid, cab corners solid, truck has one small dent on driver side bed, bed wood is old and has a sheet of plywood over wood slats, rubber mat in bed so things wouldn't slide around, nice bumpers front and rear, nice original chrome bumper guards on the front bumper, all glass in good shape, windows roll up and down with no problem, windshield has a rock chip on passenger side, dash uncut with stock radio, radio turns on but cuts in and out, heater works, all stock paint inside cab, stock bench seat that was professionally redone is nice original style tuck and roll with matching vinyl on sun visor, speedo cable unhooked, has mechanical gauges under dash with temp gauge hooked up, all lights work, wipers work, stock suspension with front lowered with torsion bars turned and newer 5" lowering coils in rear with new shocks, have stock rear springs and shocks to put back to stock, stock rims (1957 - 6 lug ) with new Coker G78-15 whitewalls, truck has been driven around town and on long road trips and does fine, cruises at 60-65 mph down the highway California title and currently registered with original california black plates Extras include-- * Custom cab side chrome molding for both driver and passenger ( cost $225.00 ) * (1) extra instrument gauge cluster * (1) extra rim ( same color ) that can be used for spare See link for additional pictures NOT INTERESTED IN TRADES Call for more info at 916-996-2037 Will help in any way with scheduling a driver to pick up the vehicle for delivery Will deliver to any Northern California port for overseas export FOR SALE LOCALLY AND MAY END AUCTION AT ANY TIME IF AGREED PRICE HAS BEEN MET See link for video of a walk around the truck See link for video of the truck on a drive Door lock works with ignition key, locks and unlocks |

Here are a few of our automotive guilty pleasures
Tue, Jun 23 2020It goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway. The world is full of cars, and just about as many of them are bad as are good. It's pretty easy to pick which fall into each category after giving them a thorough walkaround and, more important, driving them. But every once in a while, an automobile straddles the line somehow between good and bad — it may be hideously overpriced and therefore a marketplace failure, it may be stupid quick in a straight line but handles like a drunken noodle, or it may have an interior that looks like it was made of a mess of injection-molded Legos. Heck, maybe all three. Yet there's something special about some bad cars that actually makes them likable. The idea for this list came to me while I was browsing classified ads for cars within a few hundred miles of my house. I ran across a few oddballs and shared them with the rest of the team in our online chat room. It turns out several of us have a few automotive guilty pleasures that we're willing to admit to. We'll call a few of 'em out here. Feel free to share some of your own in the comments below. Dodge Neon SRT4 and Caliber SRT4: The Neon was a passably good and plucky little city car when it debuted for the 1995 model year. The Caliber, which replaced the aging Neon and sought to replace its friendly marketing campaign with something more sinister, was panned from the very outset for its cheap interior furnishings, but at least offered some decent utility with its hatchback shape. What the two little front-wheel-drive Dodge models have in common are their rip-roarin' SRT variants, each powered by turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines. Known for their propensity to light up their front tires under hard acceleration, the duo were legitimately quick and fun to drive with a fantastic turbo whoosh that called to mind the early days of turbo technology. — Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski Chevrolet HHR SS: Chevy's HHR SS came out early in my automotive journalism career, and I have fond memories of the press launch (and having dinner with Bob Lutz) that included plenty of tire-smoking hard launches and demonstrations of the manual transmission's no-lift shift feature. The 260-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder was and still is a spunky little engine that makes the retro-inspired HHR a fun little hot rod that works quite well as a fun little daily driver.
Joe Flacco wins C7 Corvette along with MVP honors
Mon, 04 Feb 2013As part of a longstanding tradition, the MVP of Super Bowl XLVII, Joe Flacco, quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, was given a new car directly after the game and trophy celebrations. For 2013, that car is a 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, and it was presented to Flacco by Rick Flick of Banner Chevrolet, a dealership in New Orleans that was wiped out by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 before returning to prominence as the only Chevy dealer in Orleans Parish.
Last year, Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning took home a 2012 Corvette GS Centennial Edition. Manning also won in 2008, when he selected a Cadillac Escalade Hybrid as his reward. In 2011, quarterback Aaron Rodgers accepted the keys to a Camaro convertible.
Though we're most definitely an auto-obsessed group, we did watch the Big Game along with nearly everyone else in America. And we've gotta say, as if winning the Super Bowl and receiving the Tiffany-designed Pete Rozelle Trophy wasn't enough for the multi-millionaire MVP athletes, a brand-new C7 seems like an awfully generous prize. Scroll down below for an official announcement from General Motors.
Why does the Corvette Stingray have so many vents? Here's why
Sun, 27 Jan 2013Just looking at the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, it's not hard to see that the car's design was created with aerodynamics at the forefront, but Chevrolet designers point out exactly what went into designing the iconic coupe in a pair of recently released videos. The videos show the Corvette going through early design phases, including clay models and wind tunnel tests, as well as talking to the car's chief engineer, Tadge Juechter.
Both videos help explain various aspects of the C7 Corvette, but it's the aero tuning of the car that is most interesting. This includes extra attention paid to the lower air dam and vented hood to help reduce drag and lift, while the rear quarter inlets are for differential and transmission cooling. Juechter said that some of these aero-tuned elements were inspired from GM's involvement in racing.
If you have about five minutes and you can't get enough information about the new 'Vette, then check out the videos posted below.
