This truck has a stock ’99 GM 350 engine with Vortec heads with plenty of get-up-and-go, and a 350 Turbo automatic trans so that it is practical for everday anywhere driving. The combination of the 350 Vortec with a light weight truck makes for a nice “sleeper” vehicle. The engine compartment and interior of this truck are super nice and detailed with interior being sprayed with a silver vein color. The truck has at least 1000 miles since engine/trans swap in order to make sure it is as dependable as possible. If you are looking for a nice dependable truck with a lot of personality, look no further! This truck was built to drive with no excuses, and I have described it to the best of my knowledge. If you have detailed questions about anything with respect to the truck, please do not hesitate to ask. I understand that it is difficult to buy a truck by looking at pics miles away, but please understand that I have sold through ebay going on 14 years now and have never received a single negative feedback. I am not trying to hide anything with this truck and encourage anyone interested to come look. Most vehicles look better in pics than in person.....and trust me, I having driven countless hours with only regret and dissappointment at the end of the venture.... but I promise you will not get that experience with the vehicles/items I sell. I guarantee the truck looks better in person than in the pics. You are more than welcome to send a 3rd party inspector to assess the truck. I will do my best with assisting with shipping this truck, but the buyer is responsible for setup and all expenses. Serious inquires only! Payment in the form of cash, wire transfer, or cashier’s check from bank(check will need to be cleared before truck is released). Email, call 606-598-9953 evenings after 5pm, or the best way to reach me is via text at 606-813-2045 ANYTIME. Chevy previews 2016 Malibu ahead of New York debut
Thu, Mar 5 2015With everything going on in Geneva this week, it would be all-too easy to forget that there's still stuff going on back home in America. And the upcoming new Chevy Malibu is a prime example. Chevrolet has announced that it is bringing an all-new Malibu to the New York Auto Show next month, teasing us with this preview image and a few enticing details. For starters, when we say it's all new, this time we mean it's all new. The next-generation Malibu has been built on a new platform that uses more high-strength steel to cut 300 pounds off the curb weight compared to the outgoing model. It's also got a wheelbase that's almost four inches longer, with shorter overhangs front and rear and a roofline that tapers stylishly and more gradually towards the tail. We'll have to wait a little longer – but not too much longer – to find out more, but in the meantime you can read what Chevy's telling us so far in the press release below. Born Again: Next-Gen Chevrolet Malibu Announced Larger, lighter and more efficient Malibu to be unveiled at New York Auto Show 2015-03-04 DETROIT – Designed to deliver more efficiency, connectivity and advanced safety features than ever, the next-generation 2016 Chevrolet Malibu will make its public debut at the New York International Auto Show this April. Using a blank slate approach, Chevrolet designers benefited from an entirely new architecture, which for Malibu includes a wheelbase nearly four inches longer than the outgoing model. That, in turn, provides increased rear legroom and interior space. Due to a higher-strength steel structure, the new Malibu is also expected to be 300 pounds lighter than the current model, which benefits the sedan's fuel economy and handling. "Malibu's gorgeous styling is the result of a masterful understanding of proportions," said Ed Welburn, General Motors' vice president of Global Design. "The roofline has been stretched rearward giving a more sleek profile, while the front wheels have moved forward and front and rear overhangs have been reduced. Along with the sculpted body side, these cues help Malibu appear more dynamic and sophisticated." More details about the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu will be shared each week leading up to the vehicle's global debut. The 2016 Malibu is expected to go on sale by the end of 2015. Founded in 1911 in Detroit, Chevrolet is now one of the world's largest car brands, doing business in more than 115 countries and selling around 4.8 million cars and trucks a year.

Corvette + fireworks = so much glory
Fri, Jul 3 2015You might think that those of us making our living by reviewing cars, think critically about the cars we're driving most of the time. It could be that I'm an underachiever, but that's not the case with me. In fact, unless I'm set to the review task, I typically think about the cars in front of and around me more frequently. That's because a) you never know what you're going to see out there, and b) all of them could be out to bump/scratch/tailgate/crash me out. You can never be too careful. Such was the case when I was driving a 2015 Chevy Corvette earlier this week. I'd already had my fun finding the edges of grip on a river road in the car, the night before; on the morning in question I was just trying to get to work. But while scanning the suburban streets for potential dangers to the 'Vette's neat-o Daytona Sunrise orange paint, I spied a XXL-sized fireworks tent in an empty parking lot. Oh right, I remembered, 4th of July weekend. That obvious bit of observation lead to a chain of thought along these lines: "We should do something with this car for the 4th" ... "Too bad I have to give it back tomorrow." ... "Wonder if I could do a quick video?" ... "Wonder if I can set off a bunch of fireworks in slow-mo for a video?" The result, well, I won't call it genius, but I will say that I remember why every kid loves fireworks. And I will call it glorious. Happy 4th, y'all.
