1971 K5 Chevrolet 4x4 2-door V8 Auto Trans Barn Find Gasser Chevy Truck on 2040-cars
Bonney Lake, Washington, United States
Barn find truck, last licensed in 2008. Low reserve, bought from second owner. Stock & original un-molested truck. Appears to have one repaint, not real good, but not real bad, no dents at all. Fiberglass original roof needs repaint. This is what you would call a "20 footer" truck. Rust in usual places, very minimal. All shown in pictures. Floors have been already patched, also shown in pictures. Just inner fenders would solve rust seen in pictures from underside. Has original carburetor just rebuilt. New plugs, calipers, pads, turned rotors, front brake hoses, front wheel bearings & seals. Front seats brand new upholstery, still has original seat belts in good condition. New reproduction dash pad, new drag link, new 2-1/2" Flowmaster dual exhaust from engine to bumper. New door seals, & roof seals in package. New windshield and all rest of glass is good. Most side trim included but tattered. Original stainless mirrors. Has HEI ignition distributor installed but original points style dist included. New heater blower motor. 350 engine runs very good, no smoke, no noise. Turbo 350 auto trans shifts smooth & solid. Power steering & power brakes also work good. Fiberglass removable roof is the optional double-wall style. Upper tail gate has handle, but missing latch piece. Will need tires soon, has original 15" x 8" rally wheels. Doors, hood, tailgate fit VERY WELL, windows roll up & down, but will need new felt.

2016 Chevy Volt orders start tomorrow
Thu, May 28 2015For anyone in California who wants to be among the first adopters of the 2016 Chevrolet Volt, then May 28 is very important. Dealers in the Golden State get to be first to place orders for the range-extended electric vehicle on that day, but buyers in the rest of the US just have to wait a few months until their turn comes. This info comes from dealer data gathered by Inside EVs and confirmed by General Motors to AutoblogGreen. According to these slides, dealers in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island and Vermont must wait until August 27 to place an order for the Volt. Finally, the reservations for the rest of the nation open up on October 1. The first production of these new models starts in August after a six-week shutdown at the Hamtramck factory to prepare for it. We already know that the 2016 Volt starts at $33,170, plus $825 destination, before federal or state incentives and is available in seven exterior colors and five interior upholstery options. The sedan is offered in LT and LTZ trims. Opting for the higher level adds features like an upgraded audio system, auto-dimming rearview mirror, front and rear heated leather seats, wireless device charging, and Automatic Park Assist. A navigation system on an 8-inch screen and safety assist suite are also optional, according to these documents. Related Video:

Survey says $25k barrier is a problem for EVs
Sun, 01 Dec 2013
The majority of consumers are more or less priced out of the market.
Electric cars are gaining popularity with the general public, but are they still too expensive? According to a survey 1,084 consumers by Navigant Research, a consulting firm located in Boulder, CO, 71 percent want their next car to cost under $25,000, while 41 percent won't go a cent above $20K. Looks like people are even thriftier than we'd originally thought.
