This is the third 55 hardtop I've owned and thought I would not sell another one. But, I do have other projects I want to complete so it could sell for the right price, I've owned this 55 since 1989 and it will be hard to list every thing that has been done. I'm an Old School guy and tried to build this as a 60's , 70's hot rod with as little as possible new items. This is my driver and fun car so I drove it for a few years after purchase then slowly started working on it which lead to the body coming off and went from there.  There are new front and rear floors and they are welded in and not finished smooth , but ground and then seam sealed. Underside and frame painted with Emron.  This car took me until 3 years ago to complete due to 5 moves !! Has new quarters and I purchased doors , fenders , and trunk from Desert Valley back in 80's before they were known.  I believe the wheels are 60's astros , from a friends 58 vette he was redoing. Paint is less than three years old and is show quality but, does have some minor chips/scratches due to driving.  New smoked glass ( bottom of drivers window has some minor milkiness)   Custom 57 Buick grill , re chromed head lamp rims and tail bezels , Danchunk one piece rear bumper, new Bird.  /Grill surround original , minor pits. Hood is pinned and have removed bracing and latch, which I have, Heater not installed but I have 2 units. I have the original bumpers, fender wells , missing one lower flap,  and fenders/trunk..The interior  is two years old and beautiful!! CCR column, new hurst shifter am/fm radio Brand new saginaw 4spd from I believe MCR racing in texas. 1968 327 chevy 60 over , new crank etc. 202 head reworked with larger valves  ,30/30 solid cam hooker headers, custom 3inch duel exhaust with summit stainless turbos. It has a offenhauser intake on with two carters at this time which i received from a friend that road races a 62 vette the carbs are 409 chevy units with no choke and they run better than the brand new holley 450's show in the picks. You can have the holleys but I got rid of the 4 inch spacers needed to make it clear the distriburator All new suspension, shocks body mounts drag link tie rods etc.  new fuel and brake lines, sender unit. Disc brake conversion and new cylinders on rear. Tires are Hurst racing tires cheaters on rear. Also has a new Eaton Posi in the rear 373 gears. The only issues I know about the car are I have the original steering box in MANUAL  and it has some looseness , also the fuel gauge reads higher than in the tank and it has a new sender so possibly the gauge which I have another one ,I just keep it above 1/4 tank to be safe. . Also the car has a new Painless wiring harness and fuse box, and a Rain Gear electric wiper set up.  I have installed 8lb door popper on the doors and a manual release for the trunk per cable new 2 inch lowering springs in front, this car was built as an old school Gasser but no straight axle, and I like the custom look that's why the shaved handles trunk etc / Buick grill!!  any questions , Geno 440-822-7600  I'm sure I left a lot out!!!!!

Sunday Drive: Spying an automotive future of performance

Sun, May 13 2018

I spy, with my little eye ... the future of the automotive world here in the United States. That pretty much sums up this week's Sunday Drive, in which we pull out the most popular stories on Autoblog of the previous week and try to draw some sort of conclusion as to what binds them all together. This week, it's spy shots, starting with one of the biggest and baddest muscle cars the world has ever seen: the Dodge Challenger Hellcat. The Hellish coupe gets a new hood for 2019 with dual scoops, but that's about the only meaningful change for the new model year. No matter. As long as it's packing 700-plus horsepower under those two hood scoops, all will be right with the world. Moving on, we take keep the performance angle but move it from the street to the dirt with a new version of the Chevy Colorado ZR2 that we think is probably called the Bison. We think it'll keep the high-tech suspension bits of the regular ZR2, but add expedition gear that may include a snorkel and a winch. Which, if true, is pretty dang cool. Keeping the truck theme is the 2019 GMC Sierra. There's nothing particularly noteworthy about the trim level in which the truck was spied, and that's what makes this specific example interesting. Base-model trucks almost never get much attention, but they sell in droves to workers who need an honest-to-goodness truck for work or play and don't care about bells, whistles, or massive chrome badges. And finally we have the 2018 Jeep Wrangler, which is on fire on the sales floor right now. But those are all V6-powered Wranglers flying off the showroom floor. Soon, a turbocharged four-cylinder engine option will become available, and now we know that it will return up to 23 miles per gallon in the city and 25 on the highway. That makes it the most fuel efficient Wrangler that Jeep has ever sold. As always, stay tuned to Autoblog this week for all the automotive news that's fit to publish. 2019 Dodge Challenger Hellcat with twin-scoop hood spied with no camouflage Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison caught testing 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 spied in base trim level 2018 Jeep Wrangler four-cylinder fuel economy revealed Spy Photos Chevrolet Dodge GMC Jeep Truck Coupe SUV Off-Road Vehicles Performance dodge challenger srt hellcat sunday drive

10 electric cars we’re excited are coming soon

Thu, Sep 22 2022

If you were considering buying an electric vehicle a couple years ago, we wouldn't fault you for thinking your options were limited, both in terms of quantity and quality. You just might not have been able to find an electric car that would suit your needs, lifestyle or budget. With the newest generation of EVs that have launched in the past year or two, your options have changed — and improved — dramatically. If you still don't see an EV you like, just wait a little while longer. It won't take long. There are a whole lot more on the horizon, and the problem may soon be in narrowing down your options. To give you an example, here are 10 electric vehicles we're excited about that you'll be able to buy very soon, from GM, from Germany, from Japan and more. Some of these will be available by the end of the year, and all are expected to launch by the end of 2023. The Chevy trio: 2024 Blazer EV, Equinox EV and Silverado EV GM is stepping into the future with strong footing. Following high-end electric launches from GMC (Hummer EV) and Cadillac (Lyriq), Chevrolet is bringing three electric vehicles with familiar nameplates. The 2024 Chevy Blazer EV (above left) will offer a number of versions, starting with the 2LT and RS trims in the summer of 2023, followed by the 557-horsepower SS in the fall and the base 1LT in early 2024. The 2024 Chevy Equinox EV (above right) will go on sale in fall 2023 as a limited-edition model, with volume sales ramping up in 2024, with a base cost of “around $30,000.” For those who prefer a bed to a liftgate, the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV is an electric pickup that looks more like the old Chevy Avalanche than the current Silverado. The WT (work truck) trim launches in fall 2023, while the 664-horsepower RST will follow in 2024. It should go on sale before the end of 2022. The i7 xDrive60 will be the only variant, with its two motors providing a total of 536 horsepower and 549 pound-feet of torque, and its battery expected to offer a range of about 300 miles. Just like its internal combustion counterpart, this full-size sedan wonÂ’t come cheap, with the i7 starting at $120,295. 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 6 Following the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6 and Genesis GV60, the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 6 will be the fourth car using Hyundai GroupÂ’s E-GMP electric car architecture.

GM already raising prices on 2014 Silverado and Sierra pickups

Mon, 14 Oct 2013

General Motors must be pretty pleased with sales of its two newest pickups, the GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado, as it's announced price hikes for both models, as part of a planned price tweak.
Prices will be bumped by as much as $1,500, although weirdly, they'll be offset by as much as $1,500 in cash-back offers through the end of October. Fox Business reports that GM spokesman Jim Cain said of the price hike, "With the sell down of the '13 models nearly complete, this price adjustment was planned and is a normal part of business."
The move, as Fox is quick to point out, is an interesting one, as sales of the twin pickups struggled last month relative to the Ford F-Series, while both of GM's crosstown competitors have been aggressively undercutting Silverado and Sierra prices. The F-150 starts at $24,070 and the Ram 1500 comes in at $23,600, not counting any cash on the hood. A base Silverado, meanwhile, retails at $25,575.
