1957 Chevy convertible resto mod. This car is available as it is or we can finish the build for you. You can chose to go with the original style interior or you can chose a custom leather. This car has a LS1 engine and an auto 4L60E trans. with a narrowed Camaro Z28 rear end with Wilwood disc brakes on all 4 corners. We can also upgrade the LS1 to a nice LS3 with 450 to 500 hp. This car has a air ride suspension with the tank neatly tucked away in the trunk area. This is a real 57 with all it's original sheet metal. It has the 605 steering box that can be upgraded to rack and pinion, however the 605 does a great job. This car is fun to drive and handles real well on the road and is a head turner. It comes with a power top that works perfect. It has Vintage Air with the original style air vents on the dash rather than under the dash.Classic gauges dress out the instrument compartment with an Auto Sound stero. It is an automatic on the column with the original style steering wheel that is 13inch instead of the orig. full size. We tried to stay with as much of the original look as much as possible. If you wish to go with custom interior we can always go to buckets and a console. So here is your chance to on a very desirable car and pick the colors to finish it or take it as is and finish it yourself.Either way the hard part is done and the finish would be a breeze and a lot of fun. GM recalls 8,500 Chevrolet Malibu models for rear suspension glitch

Mon, 04 Feb 2013

According to a letter from General Motors to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, flaws in the build process of the 2013 Chevrolet Malibu have led to the recall of 8,519 cars. Units built between December 6, 2011 and January 15, 2013 may have been assembled with rear suspension cradles that had insufficient torque applied to certain bolts. That out-of-spec assembly could lead to issues ranging from slight noises to a loss of vehicle control.
The problem was first noticed in December of last year by a GM test fleet driver and eventually tracked back to the improperly torqued bolts on the suspension cradle assembled through July 2012 by a supplier located not too far from the Malibu's Detroit/Hamtramck Assembly Plant. Since an official NHTSA recall notice has not been issued yet, it isn't clear whether or not Detroit-built Malibus were the only ones affected (the 2013 Malibu is also built at GM's Fairfax Assembly Plant in Kansas City, Kansas). Dealers will fix the problem by inspecting vehicles for proper torque specs, retightening if not within specs and, in some cases, perform a rear-wheel alignment.

Callaway debuts its new C7 Stingray at National Corvette Museum

Fri, 02 May 2014

Callaway showed off its first tuned version of the 2014 Corvette Stingray at the National Corvette Museum last week, giving the rampant enthusiasts of America's sports car a look at the roughly 620-horsepower, supercharged rocket.
Unlike the Corvette SC610 we showed you back in January, this Stingray packs a fair bit more oomph. Horsepower is only up ten ponies, but torque has jumped from 556 pound-feet to "at least" 600 pound-feet. Neither horsepower nor torque is official quite yet, although Callaway is expecting to know just what its creation can do once testing and validation is completed later this month.
The 6.2-liter, supercharged V8 now boasts a new, three-element intercooler, which Callaway claims only allowed the inlet air temperature to increase by ten degrees Fahrenheit during dyno runs. Previous designs saw a 35-degree-Fahrenheit jump. The exhaust system has also been fettled with, and now is even less restrictive.
