1957 Chevrolet 2 Door Post 210 Clean Driver Chevy Bel Air 150 Hardtop on 2040-cars
Unadilla, Georgia, United States
|
We are offering this 1957 Chevrolet Deluxe 210 two-door sedan. This car is a very clean driver and features a Chevrolet 350 V-8 engine with an automatic 700 R4 transmission. . .both the engine and transmission run/shift well. Other features include manual steering and power drum brakes. All trim is present. The car has a few pieces of Bel Air trim, but is a 210. Passenger and rear window trim is straight and clean. The trim only needs new clips. There are a few apologies on the car. Both driver and passenger door window glass is cracked. The windshield is in very good condition and appears to have been replaced at some point. The other glass is good, but has slight hazing on the extreme edges. The hazing does not obstruct the view in the glass. There is a very small leak in radiator. The hood hinges are good, but weak. The hood must be propped open. The paint is in good to fair condition. It appears to be 15 +/- years old and has a few chips and cracks. There are a few rust issues on the car. The passenger side rocker panel has rust and can be seen in the photos. The trunk has a little rust too. The floor pans are fair (not completely rusted out), but the front pans could be replaced. The brakes work well, but need servicing as the brakes pull to the left. This car is a good dependable driver. With a little work, the car would make a nice show piece. I have tried to describe every issue on the car. Please feel free to ask any questions through eBay messages or call Greg Speight at 229-239-0598. Additional photos are available upon request. This car is sold AS-IS and WHERE-IS. No warranties/guarantees are given or implied. This car is sold with a bill of sale only. Georgia does not issue titles for vehicles beyond a certain year. If your state requires a title on antique vehicles, check with you local DMV for the proper procedures for applying for a title. I have sold many antique cars to buyer in various states and none have had any problems having a car titled. NOTE: Please read the description carefully before bidding. This car was listed last week. The high bidder did not read the details of the car and refused to pay for the car because it doesn't have a title. I explained how to apply for a title in his state and he still refused to complete the transaction. Please read the entire listing and ask any questions before bidding. Negative experiences like this cost all of us money! Questions are welcomed!!!!
Items listed on eBay are available from our retail store and may sell before auction closes. In that case, item will be no longer available. NOTICE: If you do not intend to pay for an item that you buy from us, please refrain from making an offer or placing a bid. Non-paying bidders and offerers cost all of us dollars and create negative experiences in the electronic antiques business.

24 Hours of Le Mans live update part three
Sun, Jun 19 2016We tasked surfing journalist Rory Parker to watch this year's live stream of the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans. What follows is an experiment to experience the world's greatest endurance race from the perspective of a motorsports novice. Parker lives in Hawaii and has an associates degree in dropping f-bombs. For Part One, click here. Part Two is here. Really hoped I'd be able to grab an hour or two of sleep before the sun rose over Le Mans. Dark dark dark, couldn't figure out what was going on. Commentators struggled at times as well. But I couldn't do it. Endurance racing is just too exciting. Grabs my attention with both fists. Screams, "watch these men DRIVE!" A neighbor invited me over for drinks. Told him, "Can't do it, gotta watch Le Mans!" Maybe not exactly. I'll admit, at times my attention wandered. I did a load of laundry. Ate some snacks. Half listened to the commentary. Threw a hump at my wife. I learned that Patrick Long, driving #88, is big brother to Kevin "Spanky" Long. Spanky's a bit of a legend in the skate world. Always weird how top notch talent can run in families like that. Kind of surprised I've never heard that before. Worked for a skate mag for a years, met Spanky a handful of times. Someone must've told me that he has an older brother who drives race cars. Dash cams at night are scary. High powered headlights in the P1s reach almost 300 meters. Cars outrun that distance easy. Seems like they're just steering into the black and hoping for the best. But that can't be the case. People'd be dropping dead let and right. Very amused by how the guys in GT are like, "Dude, stop flashing your fucking lights before you pass." But the LMP's are all, "Suck a dick! I do what I want." Top three stayed neck and neck nearly all night long. As the sun gets ready to creep back over the horizon the top three are separated by only eleven and a half seconds. Toyota 5 and 6, Porsche 2. Audi 8 is two laps behind Porsche, beleaguered 7 is dealing with constant trouble eleven laps from the front. GTE Pro sees Ferrari 82 in first, Ford 68 and 69 right behind. To win you've gotta drive perfect, build perfect. Fours cars retired so far. I'm beginning to appreciate the endurance aspect a little more fully. Only really considered the drivers at first. The mental and physical stress driving these cars at these speeds at length would inflict. But keeping the damn things running is the real deal. To win you've gotta drive perfect, build perfect.
GM offering factory-backed extended warranty for Chevys, GMCs, Buicks and Cadillacs
Mon, Oct 15 2018Cars are generally more reliable than ever before. When things do go wrong, every automaker offers some form of factory warranty (in most cases at least three years and 36,000 miles, though many extend even longer), providing peace of mind to new-car buyers that many faults will be fixed at no charge to the customer. Starting today, GM is offering a new optional plan that will extend the factory warranty on all new Chevy, GMC, Buick and Cadillac products. In the past, extended warranties have been offered as dealer add-ons, with all profits from these sales going to the dealership. GM's new program can be viewed as another nail in the the looming dealership-model coffin. According to Automotive News, some dealers aren't happy to see GM cut into their business like this, saying that it helps GM far more than it does dealers. GM says the new program will help keep customers in the GM family. Customers are also more likely to visit a GM service center rather than going to an independent repair shop. Currently, new Chevy and GMC vehicles come with three-year/36,000-mile warranties. Buicks and Cadillacs are covered for 4 years or 50,000 miles. The new program extends Chevy and GMC warranties to five years or 60,000 miles. Buick and Cadillac warranties extend to six years or 70,000 miles. GM, citing IHS Markit, says most owners keep new cars for about 6.8 years, so these warranties will cover most of the length of their ownership. The extended warranty will add between $1,000 and $2,000 to the price of a vehicle, and the additional cost can be rolled into the vehicle's purchase or lease price. Unlike many dealer extensions, the factory program covers the vehicle no matter who owns it. That should help increase the car's resale value if it's sold within the covered timeframe. GM says there's no deductible and no need to file a claim form when getting warranty repairs. Additionally, dealerships can continue to sell their own extended warranties or service contracts.
