I have a 56 Bel air Rat Rod with a 427cubic inch Big Block Chevy and 350 turbo trans.engine was just installed this week. It has 3 inch 40 series flow masters. It was put together right with new parts from speedway. Car is a blast to drive with more power than it needs.
All lights work, including original AM radio, speedometer works, as well as gas gauge. All windows roll up and down smoothly and are good with exception of the passenger front glass, it is cracked. Speedway has it for $55 new. Car was listed a couple weeks ago with original drive train. It was sold but I had a non paying bidder. I turned the case over to Ebay. Do not bid if you do not have funds or whatever the reason may be. Please follow through as I do when I place bids. Below is a list of parts bought the last couple of weeks to put this car together: Engine: 427 Cubic Inch * New engine motor mount kit * New Hooker headers * New Single Plane Intake * New Edelbrock Carb * New MSD Plug Wires * New Plugs AC Delco * New Distributor Cap and Rotor Button * New Aluminum Radiator * New hoses * New Master Cylinder, Brake lines, and wheel cylinder * New Wieand Aluminum Water Pump * New Gas Tank and Sending unit and Gas line from carb to tank * New valve covers * New Breather Body is pretty solid with minor place in trunk, and a place in the front floor. Stainless is in good shape. It is turn key. Wheels are a vintage set of crager late 60's style and are a very good looking wheel on the car. The title is good and is in my name. Its ready to go and would be a great car for show's, cruise-ins, and family, etc. Terms: Less than 10 feedback please call before bidding, if not I have the right to remove your bid. I have the right to end auction early at any time, due to the car being advertised local. Buyer has 24 hours at auctions end to pay 10% non-refundable deposit and 3 days for full payment. buyer is responsible for shipping or pick-up of the vehicle. Car is sold as is, where is. No warranties implied. I will accept cash in hand or wire transfer, NO other form of pay excepted. Car will stay with me until paid in full. All bidders are welcome to come inspect the vehicle at any time during auction. Car is located just outside London, KY. 10 miles from I-75. Thanks for looking and happy bidding. Auto Show Notebook: Legendary Continental name inspired Lincoln's designers
Thu, Apr 2 2015What's in a name? A lot for the Continental concept, and it gave Lincoln designers a sense of purpose as they styled the brand's upcoming flagship sedan. "The moment that we told them, it was amazing," Lincoln president Kumar Galhotra said. "They totally got it." "It" is cutting-edge technology wrapped in stately, large-sedan design. It's a nod to Lincoln's storied past, but a signpost for where the brand is heading. Though the Continental name dates to the late 1930s, Lincoln designers avoided making the concept overtly retro. "You can't let it pull yourself back too far in history, but you've got to design a car that lives up to the name," Galhotra said. Speaking to Autoblog on the floor of the New York Auto Show where the Continental formally debuted Wednesday, the Lincoln president reiterated that the car is on track to launch in 2016. It will compete against the Audi A6, Lexus GS, BMW 5 Series and other large luxury sedans. After its debut, the concept in New York will fly to China – another critical market for Lincoln – for display there. It will be replaced in New York by a prototype without an interior. The Continental is the latest high profile play by Lincoln to raise its image with consumers, who have either ignored or forgotten about it amid steep competition in the luxury sector from German and Japanese brands and a potentially resilient Cadillac. Lincoln sales are essentially flat compared with 2014 through the first quarter of this year, with total volume of 21,478 units. The middling start to 2015 comes on the heels of nearly 16-percent sales growth last year spurred by the launch of the MKC and the prominent signing of Matthew McConaughey to star in Lincoln advertisements. Other News, Notes & Quotes Speaking of names, Chevrolet did its homework before deciding to proceed with "Malibu" for its new generation of midsize cars. "We went out and researched it," said Alan Batey, president of General Motors North America. "People actually like the name 'Malibu,'" he said. Admittedly, the current Malibu has struggled in the marketplace against entrenched competitors, Batey said, but he's optimistic its awareness and historical value are assets to the dramatically redesigned sedan."The name's strong," he said. Meanwhile, in other Chevy news, the brand kicked off a new marketing campaign, "Real People, Not Actors" Wednesday. It will show consumers interacting with Chevys and their spontaneous reactions to the vehicles.
2016 Lamborghini Huracan at the Horse Thief Mile | AutoblogVR
Tue, Sep 13 2016AutoblogVR returns to the Horse Thief Mile in the Mojave Desert to put the Lamborghini Huracan to the test. It's everything we want a modern supercar to be: Powerful, striking in appearance, and a riot to drive. But does it live up to Lamborghini's unique performance heritage? Senior Editor Greg Migliore reviews the Huracan on Horse Thief's unyielding curves and elevation changes to find out. Meanwhile, Autoblog Editor-in-Chief Mike Austin reviews a different kind of performance car – the Chevy SS at the IndyCar circuit on Detroit's Belle Isle. He's ably assisted by ace driver Simon Pagenaud. You must watch his hot lap! The SS is old-school V8 American muscle wrapped in Australian design and engineering. This AutoblogVR segment also launches on the app Sept. 13, and the teaser follows the Huracan preview above. Each week, new episodes will launch on the AutoblogVR App. We'll preview them here on Autoblog, but for the full immersive experience, head over to the app, which you can download for free from the App store and Google Play. Be sure to try it with a cardboard viewer, too!
