1955 Sedan Delivery

This Rare 1955 Chevrolet 150 Sedan Delivery is one of only 8,811 produced,
even compared to the 8,386 production numbers of the 1955 Nomad, this is a very Rare car
especially being typically a commercially driven delivery car of the 50's, fewer were saved and few Sedan Delivery's survived.

This particular Sedan Delivery was manufactured in Janesville, Wisconsin
I purchased it from Montana.

The Sedan Delivery has a 327 corvette engine (according to the previous owner), a Muncie 4 speed transmission
mated with a HURST shifter.
The body was taken off the frame, and the frame was redone previously (photos included), new body bushings were added, the motor and trans were gone through and the brakes were redone at this time as well.

I have owned the Sedan Delivery for about 11 years and it has been kept off the road during this time,
I have garaged it since my possession.
Last fall I had the 55 running, it drove and ran very smoothly.

The Sedan Delivery has No Rot or Rust,
the body panels are clean and the floor panels are SOLID,
 just refer to the photos

Whether it be Custom, Hot Rodded or returned to Original,
This 1955 Sedan Delivery is an excellent candidate for restoration
or even enjoyed as is.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate and feel free to ask me.
But serious buyers so I can focus my effort and time in providing the best information for those the most likely
to become the new owner.

I have no issues with selling to the states, US buyers are welcome
and I will assist where I can.
Transportation though is the responsibility of the buyer.

The 1955 Sedan Delivery is located in Toronto, ON Canada.

For Importing the 1955 Sedan Delivery to the states

The Sedan will have NO duties or fees, It will be duty free because it was made in the U.S. and is simply returning.

The Sedan Delivery is also free of federal emission standards as it was manufactured before December 31st 1967.

As well The Sedan Delivery is exempt of the Federal "Gas-guzzler" tax (EPA and DOT requirements)
as it is more than 25 years old and is classified as an antique or classic.

The buyer though will obviously still need to have the EPA and DOT forms present,
the forms have a category for exempt, because of its age.

Here is the link for the very simple EPA form

Here is the link for the very simple DOT form

So all you will need is proof of ownership, and the EPA and DOT forms present

All information stated above I received Directly from speaking with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection

Thanks and Good Luck!

I've added 49 more photos to Flickr

A bidder requested photos of the underside of the doors (I took photos inside of the doors as well),
the rockers and body supports.
As you will see from the photos they are Solid.

I also included more photos of the interior, their is some light surface rust on the roof in some areas but
nothing more than that, the roof is solid just refer to the photos.

Thanks and Good Luck!

The Mileage actually reads 11730,

as well I realized I forgot to mention two small areas of concern,
one being a small dent in the roof, which was filled in prior and the body filler has now lost its bond
(photo's included)
the other a small area at the rear just before the taillight
some body filler was used to smooth out the body but has opened up as well.

Again, their is No Rust or Rot in the body
this is just small body work to smooth out 2 body panel areas
and was done prior to my ownership.

The Sedan Delivery is exceptionally clean and Solid.

Expect greater differentiation in GM's next-generation SUVs

Thu, 03 Jan 2013

General Motors says its next-generation Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban, GMC Yukon and Cadillac Escalade models will offer shoppers improved interior differentiation. Car and Driver recently caught up with Chris Hilts, GM's creative manager of interior design, who said that the cabins will all feature unique instrument panels, consoles, center stacks and switchgear moving forward. Apparently GM is now aware that consumers may be bothered by the fact that today's $85,000 Escalade has effectively the same cabin as a $45,000 Tahoe. Hilts says SUV buyers want more refinement than their pickup purchasing counterparts - and those same buyers also want their SUVs to have more exterior differentiation between the company's Silverado and Sierra pickup lines. Shocking.
That all sounds good to us, but we've heard this song and dance before. GM made big waves about how different the new-for-2013 Silverado and Sierra would look from each other, but judging by what we've seen so far, GM's stylists are painting in shades rather than with the full spectrum. Will Chevy Bolt get Opel badge in Europe?

Sat, Mar 7 2015

General Motors' European plug-in vehicle name may go from A to B. That's because the Chevrolet Bolt could be sold under GM's Opel brand across the Pond, Automotive News Europe says, citing people familiar with the process that it declined to identify. The Ampera, the European version of the Volt extended-range plug-in vehicle, is being phased out due to poor sales. While the Ampera won the European Car of the Year in 2012, its sales have trended well below expectations. That the Bolt would be sold as an Opel hints to us that GM expects to distribute the electric vehicle in far smaller numbers than in the US. The Bolt, which was introduced in January in its concept version at the North American Auto Show in Detroit, will have a single-charge range of about 200 miles. GM representatives didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from AutoblogGeen on Friday afternoon. The car will also have a price tag in the US of about $30,000, factoring in federal-government tax incentives. That's if those tax incentives are still around in 2017, when the Bolt is expected to debut stateside. 2021 Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon facelift spied

Fri, Sep 20 2019

The Chevy Colorado and its GMC Canyon twin have been on sale for a good long time now, and while things move a little more slowly on the truck side when it comes to facelifts and model changeovers, it seems like it’s about time. So itÂ’s no surprise to see some lightly camouflaged trucks running around ahead of what appears to be a minor refresh for the 2021 model year. Starting with the Colorado, it appears to have a bowtie hiding behind some camo in the center of the grille, which otherwise looks like the no-bowtie option you can get on 2019-and-up trucks. It could be that Chevy is keeping the no-bowtie grille design but allowing a bowtie to grace it, or it could be misdirection. Either way, the grille pattern adds a bit of flair to the otherwise staid front end design. There also appears to be a bit more shape to the lower air inlet, with echoes of some of the lower fascias of its bigger Silverado stablemate. The Canyon, on the other hand, shows more extensive front-end changes. At first glance, it looks to emulate some variants of the GMC Sierra, which would make sense given those modelsÂ’ changes for the 2020 model year. In particular, this Canyon has hints of Sierra HD, being more square and monolithic than the regular Sierra 1500s, although itÂ’s a little hard to tell with the camo covering the edges of the grille. It could certainly also adopt more rounded corners like the 1500s. Either way, itÂ’s more vertical and thereÂ’s less differentiation between the upper grille and lower opening. ThereÂ’s nothing in the way of changes around the sides or back, and while there may be some minor changes inside, we arenÂ’t expecting any. The word around town is that this isnÂ’t a full facelift, but rather a minor front end tweak thatÂ’ll just be a regular part of the model-year changeover.Â
