Moving to the interior, every piece with the exception of the seat covers is 1955 Factory.  This is a V code Vin number meaning it was always born with Chevrolet's new hot one the small block V8!

Southern Car built in Atlanta solid and straight! you would have to search pretty hard to get one with only 91,700 miles . Sometime in the late 1970s it received its first Paint Job! Thats right this car has had one repaint in its 57 years! The car was painted in its original color of Neptune Green using at that time Centari Enamel, now 34 years later this paint has settled into the most wonderful shade of Green, A Patina you now would have a heck of a time duplicating, It screams 1950's. its not the real Dark Neptune Green anymore its faded into more Turquoise, The Paint just fits the car and visa versa. As we continue with its history there are old Stewart Warner Gauges cut professional in the dash along with a Stewart Warner older Tach, I do not know when this was done but they look great and are very old units that can not be replaced, I know I had to replace the temperature gauge and I still kept the old unit to repair at sometime . People look just to collect these vintage gauges!

Chevrolet 400 Small Block and Double Hump Heads, rebuild it with new components and balance it in the process, ad a lt1 cam and a very rare old school gm dual point distributor . remove the three speed and tastefully ad a 4 speed muncie with special made Hurst Shifter for 1955 bench seat, remove the 3 speed collar and ad a special made smooth collar to make it look like it could of came from GM that way. Ad a 409 1964 P Case 4:11 rear end, Top everything off with a old school polished Offenhauser intake along with 3 rebuilt Rochester Carbs by a Specialty Hot Rod Shop in Southern California, Correct with Custom Linkage and Custom Fuel lines all neat and tidy! No Mickey Mouse stuff here. This car Screams Nostalgia!  Oh for safety I had all the wiring redone, all new Wire Harness's there are somethings you just don't want to leave old, ditto to brakes ! All redone!

If your loooking for a repaired rusty 55 with after market import sheet metal and after market import chrome cover with base coat clear coat paint please move on, if you want a honest 55 thats got all its original Metal , Interior and Chrome then this is a good one.

A very good looking great running great driving time piece. There really is too much to list. Please check my feedback I have been here before and sold many cars for friends as well as some of my own. This is my car and it has a private party title in my name.

I might trade for something tasteful, I do not want anything pro-street , tubbed, caged, well you get the idea. I like quality pieces tastefully done, . Hope you enjoy looking at this 55, it deserves to be with somebody who appreciates what she is and how she got here.

GM recalls trucks and SUVs for brake pedal problem

Thu, Feb 11 2016

The Basics: General Motors will recall over 473,000 North American examples of the 2015-2016 Chevrolet Silverado HD, GMC Sierra HD, and police pursuit versions of the Chevy Tahoe. These include 426,573 vehicles in the US and 46,837 in Canada, according to Reuters. The Problem: The brake pivot nut can loosen over time, which can render the pedal inoperative. This would be a danger to drivers trying to stop the vehicles. In some cases, the "Service Engine Soon" light might come on. Injuries/Deaths: None reported. The Fix: Dealers will inspect the pivot bolt, and if necessary they will apply adhesive to it and reinstall the part with increased torque. If You Own One: "We expect to start customer notifications shortly," GM spokesperson Tom Wilkinson told Autoblog. If the brake pedal becomes loose or inoperative, it could interfere with the accelerator pedal, and/or the driver may be unable to safely stop the vehicle through application of the brake pedal, potentially affecting stopping distances and increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the pivot bolt installation to determine whether the vehicle has already received the production remedy. If not, the dealer will add adhesive to the nut, and reinstall the nut at an increased torque. Note: This condition may result in the "Service Engine Soon" light illuminating, and brake lights may stay on longer than expected. Amelia Island 2013: Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray from concepts to split windows

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

While this year marks 60 years of the Chevrolet Corvette, the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance focused on one of the coupe's most sought after models, the 1963 Sting Ray. General Motors design boss Ed Welburn was on hand to show off the all-new C7 Corvette, but even the hard-edged styling of the 2014 Stingray couldn't take away from the beautiful 1963 models sitting out on the field.
In addition to the original Sting Ray and the 1959 Sting Ray Concept, some of the other classic 'Vettes included "Big Tank" racecars, an interesting cutaway coupe, a right-hand-drive Z06 and the attention-grabbing 1963 Corvette Rondine by Pininfarina. Another impressive Corvette was the 1964 Corvette XP-819 rear-engine prototype. Owner Mike Yager had the car finished as a driving chassis for this year's show, but promises the car will be back to its original glory in time for next year's event.

GM to cut production at 5 plants in North America, kill several models

Mon, Nov 26 2018

DETROIT/WASHINGTON — General Motors Co said on Monday it will cut production of slow-selling models and slash its North American workforce in the face of a stagnant market for traditional gas-powered sedans, shifting more investment to electric and autonomous vehicles. The announcement is the biggest restructuring in North America for the U.S. No. 1 carmaker since its bankruptcy a decade ago. GM said it will take pre-tax charges of $3 billion to $3.8 billion to pay for the cutbacks, but expects the actions to improve annual free cash flow by $6 billion by the end of 2020. GM plans to halt production next year at three assembly plants: Lordstown, Ohio, Hamtramck, Michigan, and Oshawa, Ontario. The company also plans to stop building several models now assembled at those plants, including the Chevrolet Cruze, the Cadillac CT6 and the Buick LaCrosse, the sources said. Sources said the Chevrolet Volt, Impala and Cadillac XTS would also be discontinued. Signs of the demise of six passenger-car models have been swirling since July. Plants in Baltimore, Maryland, and Warren, Michigan, that assemble powertrain components have no products assigned to them after 2019 and thus are at risk of closure, the company said. It will also close two factories outside North America, but did not identify those plants. The AP reported that 14,700 jobs would be affected. Some 8,100 of those would be white-collar jobs reduced through buyouts or layoffs. The No. 1 U.S. automaker signaled the latest belt-tightening in late October when it offered buyouts to 50,000 salaried employees in North America. The company also said it will cut executive ranks by 25 per cent to "streamline decision making." Some 6,000 factory workers could lose their jobs or be transferred to other plants. Its shares were last up 6.2 percent at $38.16. Tariff 'headwinds' and cost-cutting GM Chief Executive Officer Mary Barra told reporters on Monday the company can reduce annual capital spending by $1.5 billion and increase investment in electric and autonomous vehicles and connected vehicle technology because it has largely completed investing in new generations of trucks and sport utility vehicles. Some 75 percent of its global sales will come from just five vehicle architectures by early in the 2020s. It plans to reduce annual capital spending to $7 billion by 2020 from an average of $8.5 billion a year during the 2017-2019 period.
