2004 Chevy Aveo LS, 4 door hatchback for sale!! This car does NOT currently run- it should be purchased FOR PARTS OR AS A FIXER-UPPER. The car turns on (radio, etc.) but does not turn over! We tried all types of ways to start it (would not 'pop' start, either) but now believe that it is the timing belt/associated parts that are causing the issue. This Aveo has a brand new air intake system, new valve cover gasket, new spark plugs & spark plug covers, and brand new oil & oil filter. It also have valid inspection, good until April 2014. I am the second owner of this car, which I purchased from a dealership in 2008. It has been given regular oil changes and treated as a daily driver (commute to work/school). This is a great car, and has treated me well! The CD player, radio, heat, AC, defroster, wipers, etc. all work perfectly! The car comes with multiple keys. It is power everything (locks, windows, etc.). It does have some minor cosmetic issues- scratches in the paint, very minor dings in the doors (from parking lots), etc. The interior is also in decent condition. There is a small hole in the back seat that was there when I purchased the car and some wear & tear around the emergency brake and shifter. There is also a crack in the top corner of the front windshield. The back wiper blade was replaced somewhat recently as well. The tires also have a good amount of life left in them. Winning bidder/buyer is responsible for pick up of the vehicle and all fees associated with the purchase of the vehicle. This includes (but is not limited to) title/registration requirements, arranging the pick up of the vehicle (providing shipping for it or personally getting it), and any tax associated with the sale of the vehicle. A $200 deposit is required within 24 hours of purchase via PayPal. The balance is due via cash, certified bank check, or money order upon pick-up. More Corvette Stingray Factoids: Vanishing panel gaps and 26-mpg LT1
Thu, 28 Feb 2013During January's Detroit Auto Show, we managed a longer than expected wandering tag-team interview with C7 Corvette chief engineering exec Tadge Juechter (pictured above), and LT1 engine boss Jordan Lee (pictured below). They are, quite honestly, two of the very nicest bigshot lads to ever walk the engineering corridors of an American manufacturer. Both are enthralled by what they're doing for a day job. So are we.
We've followed the pre-sale anticipation for the Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray like an Oreck vacuum yanking every speck of dirt from a well-trampled carpet. Everything is reportable and contains a grain of further knowledge about this dramatically important and cheered-for car, as it continues to be pressured into representing all that is superior about the American dream. The Corvette wears one heavy cloak.
So, most of what was talked about has been expertly reported already right here on Autoblog. But, looking through our notes again, both Jeuchter and Lee added facts to the buzzing mix.
UAW to vote on strike at Kentucky Corvette plant
Tue, 08 Apr 2014The current wait time for a new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is well, not short. With word of a strike at the Bowling Green, KY factory responsible for seventh-generation sports car, though, that wait time could end up growing substantially.
Now, a strike is still a ways off. UAW Local 2164, which represents the 800 workers responsible for screwing the Corvette together, is set to vote on authorizing a strike today, but even if the employees give the action a go, it's far from a sure thing. According to The Tennessean, both regional and national union officials would need to put their stamp of approval on strike action.
"The membership has to vote to strike, but it's just a step in the process," said Gary Casteel, the UAW's Region 8 director and one of the people that would need to authorize a strike action. Casteel told The Tennessean, "It's purely a local situation, though. They are having some issues with the local management."
2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra show all their sides in Detroit
Tue, 15 Jan 2013There could hardly be more riding on the next-generation General Motors full-size pickup trucks, so the automaker has wisely made sure to have a selection of different models on hand at the Detroit Auto Show to show off. The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and 2014 GMC Sierra were both officially introduced last month at a stand-alone reveal, and now they'll be on display for the public to see in various body configurations and trim levels.
The Silverado LTZ Crew Cab and Sierra SLE Extended Cab are aimed at providing more of a high-end pickup experience, while the Silverado LT Z71 Extended Cab and Sierra SLT Z71 Crew Cab should have off-road fans scouting out their favorite trails. The crew cab trucks won't go into production until sometime during the second quarter of this year - with other bodystyles coming later in the year - but we have plenty of live images from Detroit for you to enjoy.
