This is a rare 2004 Chevy Avalanche Southern Comfort Edition. Two tone blue to gray with an amazing paint job. Fully loaded on the inside with all the toys. Full leather seating with power and heat in the front. Bose CD sound system still sounds great. Custom 20 inch rims which can still clean up and look awesome. The tires are light, only about 30-35% left on them. Drives great....still smooth and strong. The engine is a 5.3L LS based motor with over 300hp...plenty of get up and go. The transmission shifts smooth, no issues, and the transfer case engages in high and low as it should...no issues. The interior is clean, with the only noticable issues being the sides of the seats...the wear on them is from getting in and out...very common...the drivers side is worse than the passenger side....but this is something that can be addressed for not too much money...and then the interior would be perfect. Custom paint with a full ground effects package round out the exterior....also it does have the factory trailer tow package...so its ready to go and do what ever you need it to. Anyone who knows the LS motors, knows that 150k on them is nothing, they have been documented to go much, much, MUCH more than that...especially when they are taken care of...which after looking at this truck and driving it...this one was not abused. 2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Convertible offers a few more views before reveal
Mon, 04 Mar 2013Over the weekend, Chevrolet released its first images of the new 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Now, ahead of the droptop's official introduction tomorrow at the Geneva Motor Show, the automaker has given us a few more shots of the softop C7 showing off the car's rump albeit from a high, strategically positioned angle.
From this angle, it's hard to get a sense for how long and flat the decklid really is, but we can easily see that, like the rest of the C7's design, the new convertible's decklid and tonneau cover are far more detailed than the current car. We also get a better look at the rear haunches sans brake vents, which have apparently been moved to underneath the car in order to accommodate the top's hard cover.
As for the overall styling of the C7 convertible, with the top erected, we get some idea of what a coupe design (as opposed to the Stingray's fastback shape) would look like on this car. The C5 Corvette most recently had a coupe model that did away with the large glass hatchback, and we recently reported on a low-cost "coupe" model potentially being added to the C7's repertoire.
GM recalls 668,000 SUVs due to faulty anchor bars for child seats
Fri, May 19 2023DETROIT — General Motors is recalling more than 668,000 small SUVs in the U.S. because owners may not be able to hook child seats to the anchors. The recall covers certain 2020 to 2023 Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain SUVs. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says in documents posted on its website Thursday that the rear-seat lower anchor bars may have had too much powder coating. That could make them too thick and prevent a child seat from being installed. GM says no crashes or injuries have been reported. The automaker is asking owners to install child seats using the seatbelts until the latches are repaired. Dealers will inspect the anchors and replace the finish if necessary.
