Offered for auction is my 2004 Cadillac Seville SLS with 64,880 original miles. I am a car collector belonging to several antique car clubs, so all my cars, every day or collector, receive routine maintenance. Right now I have too many every day cars so the SLS is for sale. The 2004 SLS is black exterior with a gray leather interior which is in excellent, very clean condition. I have two sets of floor mats with the car. The original factory set is used during late spring, summer, and early fall which are then removed, cleaned and stored for winter months. A second set of after market mats are used during winter months. 2004 is the last production year for the SLS with a factory price of $46,620.00. Both sets of keys and owners manual come with the car. Some of the options on the car are as follows:
275 HP 4.6 Liter DOHC 32 valve V-8. Four speed electronic automatic transmission. Front wheel drive. 16 x 7 inch Chrome wheels. Four wheel independent suspension, self leveling suspension. Ventilated front disc/solid rear disc ABS brakes. Stability control. Front side-mounted air bags. Traction control system. daytime running lights, dusk sensing headlights. Rain sensing wipers. Ten(10) way power leather front bucket seats and much more.

Ice cold A/C with automatic climate control system. AM/FM sound system with in dash CD player. Six (6) disc changer in arm rest, but it is problematic.Cruise control. Programmable tilt, telescopic steering wheel and seats. Approximately 8000 miles on Goodyear Eagle tires and brakes. New correct ventilated battery installed December 3rd  2012. A intake manifold gasket coolant leak was discovered in June 2013. Engine was removed, disassembled and all engine gaskets were replaced with new water pump and spark plugs @ 61,449 miles. All this work was completed by a certified master Cadillac mechanic. Cooling system was thoroughly flushed and serviced with new coolant. Transmission received routine service @ 56,204 miles.

I am NOT a dealer, but I have tried to provide  an accurate description of the condition of the car. It drives like new. I believe in a scheduled routine maintenance program on all my cars and correct repair when necessary. New York State Inspection was completed in September 2013 & oil, oil filter was changed on September 15th 2013. It does not use oil between changes. There are no leaks, coolant, oil or A/C. Winning bidder is responsible for transportation of vehicle. A $500.00 non-refundable deposit within 48 hours is required to Pay Pal by winning bidder. Balance to be paid within 10 calendar days close of auction either in cash, certified bank check, or wire transfer. Vehicle will not be released until check(s) clear bank and funds are available. I reserve the right to end the auction early as vehicle is for sale locally.

My reserve is lower than current values. I will not answer questions concerning my reserve, so do not ask. Other questions concerning the vehicle can be made to (716) 694-9830 or my cell (716) 930-9622. May consider trade, up or down, on a 1953 Packard Patrician. The vehicle has a clear title.

Former Cadillac boss Butler takes Ford tech job

Tue, 07 Jan 2014

When Don Butler made the surprising decision to leave his post as Cadillac's VP of global strategic development, it was a surprise. Citing a desire to "recalibrate, reassess my priorities" in that August announcement, it wasn't entirely clear where Butler - a virtual General Motors lifer after spending nearly 30 years with the company - would end up. Turns out he took a trip to Dearborn.
Butler has taken a position in the newly created position of Executive Director of Connected Vehicles and Services at Ford, where he'll be responsible for the Blue Oval's global connectivity strategy. "Not only does Don understand the connected car landscape, but probably just as important, he understands customer expectations," said Raj Nair, who, as Group Vice President of Global Product Development, is Butler's new boss. "Having a leader with technology experience both inside and outside the industry is a rare combination - we're excited to have Don join our team."
As Ford has received its fair share of flak for the sometimes recalcitrant MyFord Touch infotainment system and its Sync voice-controls, it appears that Butler has his work cut out for him.

Cadillac XT4-V on the way?

Fri, Jul 19 2019

An anonymous photographer sent Cadillac Society two tightly cropped images of an XT4 crossover wearing two surprising badges. On the right, above the taillight, there's a 2.7 badge, In the lower right corner there's a V Series badge — the full-fat, multicolored V badge, not the monochrome V-Sport version. The images — assuming they're real — elicit more questions and no answers, the first being, is this the XT4 V-Sport that's been rumored since last October? Back then, GM Authority discovered front and rear images of such a vehicle hiding in plain sight, on a Cadillac site landing page. The backside of a thick-hipped XT4 is graced with the old V-Sport badge. We know the carmaker has split its V Series cars into two tiers, the lower intended to be less intimidating than before, the upper tier the continuation of the mongo V Series cars we've known and loved. The hints have been that the entry level will be called V Series, while the upper level takes the name "Blackwing," after the name of Cadillac's new 4.2-liter, twin-turbo V8 engine. With Mark Reuss himself having said, "We got rid of all the V-Sports," this supposed XT4-V offers more proof that V Series effectively represents a new V-Sport line. The only cosmetic giveaways to increased performance we can see are a carbon fiber trim in the license plate area, and an exhaust treatment similar to that on the recently introduced CT4-V. We're not certain what the 2.7 badge means for V branding on crossovers. The standard XT4 wears a 2.0 badge on the tailgate, representing its 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The XT5 gets a number, too, but the XT6 does not. GM's 2.7-liter four cylinder with 311 hp and 348 lb-ft first showed up in the Chevy Silverado, will get 320 hp and 369 lb-ft in the coming CT4-V, and has been predicted for the XT4-V. However, V cars — both Sport and Series — have never worn displacement badges. The new CT4-V and CT5-V go without numerical identifiers on their decklids. If there is an XT4-V on the way this year, we only have a few months before we see it and get some answers.

2021 Cadillac CT5 Review | Is the price (and size) right?

Thu, Nov 5 2020

The Cadillac CT5, which was brand new for the 2020 model year, took the place of the CTS in General Motors’ luxury sedan portfolio. Its mission is the same as the car it replaced: compete on equal footing with the German trio of Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz along with Japanese brands Acura, Infiniti and Lexus. But it does so with a radically different package than the CTS. In place of the sharp corners and angular greenhouse of its predecessor is a smoother sedan with a flowing fastback shape. The new CT5 is also around $10,000 cheaper than the CTS it replaces, despite the fact that the two are within a few inches in exterior dimensions. So while it may be sized similarly to the cars it used to compete with, including the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes E-Class, it's now priced like a 3 Series or C-Class.  Clearly, Cadillac thinks this refined strategy will position the CT5 to better compete against those established luxury players. The car itself drives quite well and is stylish, well equipped, and that price-to-size ratio gives it a unique proposition to attract buyers away from the Europeans. What's new for 2021? The CT5 finally gets CadillacÂ’s Super Cruise semi-autonomous technology for 2021. It's the latest version that includes Lane Change on Demand functionality, but itÂ’s only available on Premium Luxury and V-Series trim levels. CaddyÂ’s sport sedan also gets a 12-inch digital gauge cluster with multiple themes, including a Track theme on the high-performance CT5-V. A new Diamond Sky special edition package will be offered on Premium Luxury CT4 and CT5 models, adding interior and exterior styling upgrades along with all-season run-flat tires on unique wheels. Additional updates include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a console-mounted rotary infotainment knob that enables left and right clicks to more easily navigate the infotainment system. 2020 Cadillac CT5 View 22 Photos   What's the CT5Â’s interior and in-car technology like? The Cadillac CT5 interior can best be described as “nice enough.” Unfortunately, "nice enough" isnÂ’t quite good enough to compare favorably with Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz or Volvo. We'd say it's not good enough to compare with cross-town rival Lincoln, either, but they won't be selling sedans in 2021.
