Up for sale is a very rare find a 1984 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham Coupe,Black On Black with sunroof.Don't see to many Brougham Coupes around as each year they were produced they were in pretty limited quantity compared to their 4 door sedan counterparts, nonetheless in a desirable color combo as black with black leather. It took quite awhile to find this car as ive seen less than a handful in this color combo over the past 5 years ive looked for one. Those of you looking at this car will know what it is so i wont go into full detail,i will just get down to description and let photo's be the judge along with that.Overall car is in very good shape body wise and mechanically runs great with many new parts installed.Body is very straight and shows no prior evidence to best of my knowledge of any paintwork and car maintains its original laquer paint and shines up extremely well.As with laquer paint on a car of this age, there is some checking on the hood, and roof of the car,it does not detract from the overall great appearance of the car,and you can choose either to have it resprayed or keep it original as i like to have and have kept my previous Cadillacs that i have owned.Driver side door also shows some checking on middle part of door not its entirety.Otherwise rest of cars shines and shows still a deep luster that only this type of paint can for its age.Interior of the car is also overall in great shape, the black leather seats show no signs of fading and rear looks almost untouched, carpet is full and plush and its original floor mats also present very well as a testament to its great care and low miles.Headliner will need replacement as its sagging somewhat in the rear of the car,and has been removed by the shade that covers the sunroof.Mechanically the car has recent replacement of water and fuel pumps, hot water control valve for the climate contra system,a new power steering hose, and new rear springs for the rear suspension.Ac turns on but does not blow very cold, and power antenna will need to be replaced(not an expensive fix) as its recently just remains in the upright position.Bumper fillers are original and a common problem with these cars, they are faded and all are in fine shape except driver,s side rear is cracked. Please take a look at the photo's and ask any questions.I welcome an inspection for anyone interested car is currently in nj have clear colorado title along with mileage verification notarized by previous owner.Car is sold as-is where is with no warranties expressed or implied.Buyer to arrange for shipping if out of state or can drive it home.Deposit of $500 DUE within 48 hours of sale, with balance due by certified funds or cash before car is released.I have sold 2 Cadillac's and a sunbeam over the years so good luck and enjoy.

Opel director Sedran to succeed Docherty as Chevy Europe boss

Wed, 26 Jun 2013

When longtime General Motors executive Susan Docherty announced she would be stepping down from her post as the head of Chevrolet and Cadillac in Europe, there was some idle chatter that plans for the creation of a new global overseer position for the Bowtie brand was behind the move. And while US sales chief Alan Batey has indeed assumed control of Chevy worldwide since her departure announcement, Docherty's vacancy is being filled after all, with Opel chief strategist Thomas Sedran taking up the reins.
That's according to Automotive News, who reports that Sedran will be tasked with pulling Chevy out of a sales funk, much of it pegged on Europe's stagnant auto industry, which has sunk to a 20-year low. AN notes that Chevy's EU sales plunged 32 percent to 57,584 units through the first five months of 2013, but the everyday value brand is faring worlds better than Cadillac, which has sold just 167 units in Europe over the same time period.
Sedran, 48, has been in the auto industry for over 20 years. Most recently, at Opel he had been working on long-term plans for the marque, and was appointed to the brand's management board in April of last year. Prior to joining GM, Sedran was employed as a management consultant for AlixPartners, where he worked closely with Opel for six years. Sedran will assume his new duties beginning July 1.

2018 Cadillac CT6 Drivers' Notes | Super Cruiser

Fri, Dec 1 2017

The 2018 Cadillac CT6 showcases General Motors' impressive Super Cruise feature. It's the next milestone on the way to an autonomous future, though GM is being conservative about promoting Super Cruise's considerable prowess. It helps the driver, GM says. Does it work? Our editors have been testing one this week as the calendar turns and the temperatures drop in Michigan. Also, the CT6 is a really nice car. Here's what we think. Senior Editor, Green, John Beltz Snyder: Super Cruise, man. On Wednesday night, I rode home in a 2018 Cadillac CT6 with Super Cruise. I say "rode," but I was sitting in the driver's seat. I spent more time with my hands off the steering wheel than on it. It was super relaxing. Once I got on the highway, I set the cruise control, waited for the steering wheel icon to show up on the instrument cluster, and hit the button on the steering wheel that looked like a steering wheel (pretty meta, to be honest). The top section of the wheel illuminated in a green arc, and I felt the weight of the steering lift as the car began driving itself. I put my feet flat on the floor, rested my hands on my knees, and just watched the road while listening to a podcast ("The Dollop," if you were wondering). To be honest, I had trouble concentrating on the audio, as my thoughts were captivated by the way the car managed the road and traffic around me. Sure, I had to change lanes on my own and take over steering on interchanges and surface streets, but when the AI took the reins, it had my complete confidence. Perhaps just as surprising, the CT6 was also a blast to drive manually. It felt super smooth, with plenty of power and poise. I enjoyed bending it through 50-mph curves almost as much as I enjoyed being driven. Almost. Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore: Super Cruise just works. I was blown away how easy it was to use and how well it just did what it was supposed to do. Merging into the teeth of rush hour traffic in metro Detroit, I braced for the worst. I figured I'd be stuck in bumper-to-bumper gridlock and Super Cruise would never get deployed. Frankly, I was cynical Super Cruise would work. But then I was able to hit the 70-mph speed limit and figured, well, let's just see about this thing. Like John, I did the two-steps to set up SC, and boom, it worked. It trailed the cars in front of me at a proper distance. It braked naturally to a stop and then resumed speed. It slowed down when a Jeep Grand Cherokee cut me off.

Cadillac CT6 ushers in new naming convention

Wed, 24 Sep 2014

Johan de Nysschen has been at his new post as president of Cadillac for not even three months , but he's already seen two of his most notable accomplishments from his two-year tenure as president of Infiniti matched by Cadillac. The brand has announced that it is relocating its headquarters, and is now officially changing its nomenclature.
The brand's new flagship model will abandon the familiar three-letter designation enjoyed by every other model in the range (aside from the Escalade), and adopt an alpha-numeric title. So, rather than the expected title of LTS, Cadillac's top-end car will be called the CT6.
Of course, this won't be limited to just one model. According to Cadillac's press release, "familiar lettering like 'CT' would be used for car models, with the number indicating the relative size and position of the cars in the hierarchy of Cadillac models." And yes, that means what you think it means - Cadillac will use the exact same naming formula, albeit with different letters, as Infiniti.
