The car was bought by me a month ago. my intention was to export it abroad but the country that the car was supposed to be exported did me troubles.i had big plans for this car as it has great potential but unfortunatley i have to sell the car. That is the reason why i am selling the car only inside US and not abroad. the car will be sold to the higher bidder.

here is the original description of the car from the guy i bought the car from:

The story behind why I’m selling this car is simple:  I left to go to Afghanistan to put in work with the USMC in 2009.  At that time the car was in great condition for the most part.  Everything on the car worked.  I left the car with my uncle.  In late 2010, my uncle ran over a speed breaker too fast and broke the oil sending unit off.  The oil leaked out of the engine and the engine eventually began to knock.  The car has been sitting where you see it in the pics since that time.  The engine is a 6.0 Liter (4-6-8 Motor…368cid….see pic) with 146,460 miles.  I returned to the USA September 22nd, 2013.  Unfortunately I do not have the time or money to restore the car.  The price I listed is what the junkyard offered me for the car based on metal weight.  I hate to just give the car to the junkyard because of all the new parts I put on the car before I was deployed.  I think this car would be a great project car for someone.  I have listed below all the things I can remember I had done to the car before I left for Afghanistan.  Please email me if you have any questions before bidding and I will be more than happy to let you know everything I can about this car.  Surprisingly enough, when I put a battery in the car (….just because I was curious to see if it would turn over) and sprayed some quick-start in it, ….it started up!  I’m sure the gas is bad as it has been in the car sitting for four years, but I did get it to start.  There is rust on the bottom of the doors and trunk lid and the vinyl top was ruined I guess from the heat and winter cold and sitting under a tree over the last four years.  I do know a guy that has all four used replacement doors and trunk lid for that car for $475.00 and  the motor for $700.00   I will give this info to whoever gets the car in case you want to get the parts from them.  I figure even if someone got the car just to use the new parts that I put on it and the hard to get parts and then brought the car to the junkyard and got the metal weight, it would be a great deal.   I just don’t have the money or time to deal with it.

Here are the parts that I had installed on the car (…and what I paid for them) before I left in 2009.
New rear bumper fillers (the ones that always rot out)  (cost me $185.00 from Euro-Imports ….the same place that painted the car)
New tires (have less than 50 miles on them)…..but they have dry-rot now.  They look good…LOL!  …but I would just use them for moving the car around while fixing it, but not for driving on the main road or highway. (cost me $525.00 from Pep-Boys)
New rear coil springs from Henessy Cadillac dealership. (cost me $351.00)
New Exhaust system from Midas Muffler ($215.00)
New Headliner from Gary’s upholstery (cost me $195.00) I saw stains on the headliner.  My son says the stains are from moisture getting in the car and evaporating over the years.
Tail Light Lenses and reverse lights from a private seller on ebay (cost me $180.00)
Matching OEM Cadillac hub caps with lock
Rear Bumper ($275.00 from a private seller on ebay)
Air Conditioning system converted over to R134a installed by Georgia Air for (cost me $635.00)
Driver’s side front window and seat control switch on the door. (cost me $75.00 for the part and installation at Euro Imports)
Front and rear brakes from Euro Imports ($355.00)….this was done I think in 2007 or 2008

Other details:
The spare tire has never been used. (see pic)
The jack is complete and in the trunk. I have never used the jack.
The car has the original Cadillac rubber trunk floor mat
The car has the original gray trunk carpet from the factory
The car came with what I believe is a “GM - Body by Fisher” fender-cover.  I guess if you are working on the car.  I never used it, because I wasn’t sure of what it was really for. (see pics)
The dash has a custom matching cover with the Cadillac emblem on it. (see pic)
The windshield wasn’t cracked when I left, but it is now.
The only part of the seats and door panels that I remember having tears is the driver’s side and the door panel on the passenger’s side (see pics).
The car has ALL the chrome trim that came with it from the factory

Here are things that I remember working (that usually don’t on most Cadillacs of this year):
The Radio worked
The power Antennae worked
All the fiber-optics worked These are the little lights on the top of the fenders (it has a white light to let you know the headlights are on, a blue to let you know the high beams are on and an orange light to let you know if the signal light is on) and the one inside on the rear center located on the headliner (it has two red lights ….right and left……for signal lights and they get brighter when you step on the brakes.
The cruise control worked
All windows power locks and power seats worked
Power trunk lid pull down works
The Sentinel Light System worked
The MPG Sentinel worked
The Factory Symphonic Sound System worked

Weekly Recap: New bosses try to jump-start Cadillac and Lincoln

Sat, 26 Jul 2014

Both of America's domestic luxury brands seem to be stuck in neutral.
It's ironic that Cadillac and Lincoln got new bosses within days of each other this month. It's also a commentary on the fact both of America's domestic luxury brands seem to be stuck in neutral.

Jay Leno welcomes a 2016 Cadillac CTS-V into the garage

Tue, Nov 17 2015

After checking out a multitude of classic cars and customs over the past few weeks, Jay Leno switches things up with a modern performance machine in the latest video from the garage – a 2016 Cadillac CTS-V. Leno is curious about Caddy's attempt to challenge the BMW M5 and Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S, and he takes a long, technical look at the sedan with chief engineer David Leone. Not content to just peek under the hood, Leno puts the CTS-V up on the rack to see what it packs underneath the svelte body. Once he gets the lowdown on the Caddy's engineering, it's time for a drive. Leno also flexes his interviewing skills while behind the wheel and gets even more info about the CTS-V's capabilities from Leone. He seems fairly impressed, but Leno's most entertaining question about the 640-horsepower sedan is whether it can do a burnout. He provides a definitive answer to that at the end of the clip. Petrolicious eats up Rita Hayworth's 1953 Cadillac Ghia

Wed, Feb 11 2015

The automotive industry has seem some wonderful transoceanic collaborations between America and Italy, from the Ford-powered De Tomasos of the 1960s to the alliance between Fiat and Chrysler today. Of course it's also seen unfortunate experiments in between like the Chrysler TC by Maserati and the Pininfarina-bodied Cadillac Allante. But before any of those, there was a beautiful tradition of rebodying American steel at the hands of Italian carrozzerie. And this could easily be among the most gorgeous of them all. It's a Cadillac Series 62 from 1953 with bodywork by Ghia. It's one of only two made, and has a star-studded history. The car was purchased by Aly Khan, prince of the Nizari Ismaili muslims and Pakistan's ambassador to the United Nations, for his wife... who just so happened to be the inimitable Rita Hayworth. They split up, but she held on to the car. Today it's part of the permanent collection at the Petersen Automotive Museum in LA, so the videographical artisans at Petrolicious went by to check it out. You'll want to as well in the five-minute short above.
