As you can see from the photos this is a Show quality restoration that commands attention wherever it goes. Everything on car works as should. Car starts, drives, stops, shifts all as smoothly as a Cadillac should. There is no visible rust anywhere on this car. All interior and exterior lighting works as well as the turn signaling and horn. Car was painted 5 years ago in basecoat/clearcoat Cadillac color Driftwood Beige and interior is freshly NEW using Genuine Leather interior in a color combination known as Sandalwood. Every chrome and stainless piece has been polished or replaced making this Eldorado gleam in the Florida sun.
There were 160,840 Cadillac's produced in 1962 with only 1450 of them being an Eldorado Biarritz. There are believed to be less than 100 of these left in existence today and most of them are NOT in this restored condition. Most others are originals or now older restorations that need attention. Paint is near perfect, chrome is show and interior is Brand New leather (perfect). Everything is back "Original" to 1962 with no customization. This Eldorado needs nothing now to be considered show quality and is far beyond road worthy.

This Eldorado Biarritz is a top level model. Years 1955-1961 Eldorado's are all worth near or over $100K this 1962 is next in line to head in that direction. We are honestly very sad to have to sell.

eBay Find of the Day: Ryan Gosling Eldorado from Lost River
Thu, Apr 9 2015What's better than a car connected to Ryan Gosling? A car connected to Ryan Gosling and Matt Smith (the eleventh Doctor Who for our less nerdy readers). This 1966 Cadillac Eldorado convertible is driven by Smith in Lost River, Gosling's directorial debut. The movie was filmed in Detroit, with plenty of footage at the Packard factory, and the car is located in the nearby enclave of Hamtramck. Truth be told, this car has questionable star appeal and it needs a lot of work. Lost River currently holds a 20% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. I've never seen an episode of any Doctor Who – a fact that amazes Seyth Miersma. And while I agree with Kroll Show character Wendell Shawn that Gosling is a "beautiful idiot," that's not enough for me to buy a car with an exhaust leak. The body on this Eldorado looks clean, but there is plenty of restoration work for the next owner. The listing states that most of the exterior and trim needs to be installed, and the front seats are in rough shape. Other details are vague – the carburetor "might need to be rebuilt" and the radiator and fan "may need to be replaced" but neither statements explain why. On the upside, the 340 horsepower (gross rating), 429 cubic inch V8 runs well. Reserve is not met at the current price of $4,000, but this could be a chance to get a classic '60's convertible for cheap.
