2002 Cadillac Deville DTS Sedan
Please read carefully! Up for sale is a 2002 Cadillac Deville DTS that is NON-RUNNING! This car was bought by myself and driven for a short time before it started smoking heavily from the bottom end. I parked the car and since then the battery has dead. I was able to jump it off but it ended up just dying shortly after that. It has been parked for over 6 months. I am selling it AS/IS- WHERE/IS. Vehicle must be TOWED away!
Now with that being said.
The car has approximately 276,116 miles on it. Tires look decent with drivers side front tire being now flat. This will make for a great project for someone. I have started to bid @ $700 which is what I have been offered to just scrap it out. I do not know the extent of the engine damage and am certainly taking a loss here. Please feel free to come and inspect vehicle before bidding.
Bidding on this vehicle is a legally binding contract between the bidder and the seller. Bidders cannot back out once they have bid. This is why it is so important to inspect the vehicle before hand. Payment will be due with 48 hours. $300 non refundable deposit is immediately at the close of auction! This will be deducted from your final bidding price. As stated vehicle must be towed away and it is being sold AS/IS as a NON RUNNING car. I have posted as many pictures as I could so that you could bid confidently. I have a clear title in hand. GM recalls 61k more vehicles in three campaigns
Sun, 05 Oct 2014Following a stop-delivery order for its new midsize trucks and a rash of recent recalls, General Motors is issuing three more campaigns covering 60,575 vehicles in North America with 57,182 of them in the US. As of October 1, the automaker has issued a total of 74 recalls (see the ridiculously long chart to the right) this year covering 26,495,070 units in the US.
The largest campaign covers 46,873 examples in the US of the 2008-2009 Pontiac G8 and 2011-2013 Chevrolet Caprice Police Patrol Vehicle imported from Australia. It's possible for the driver's knee to hit the key and make it move from the "Run" to "ACC" position while driving. GM says its Holden division is developing a fixed-blade key that's supposed to fix the problem by only allowing it to rotate toward the "On" position. There has been one crash caused by this fault but no injuries or fatalities.
The second recall is for 10,005 units of the 2004-2007 Cadillac CTS-V and 2006-2007 Cadillac STS-V because "the fuel pump module electrical terminal may overheat." This can cause a flange to melt and allow the pump to leak fuel. GM specifies that the remedy for the CTS-V is replacing the fuel module and fuel tank jumper harness, but it doesn't specify how the STS-V is being repaired.
Cadillac to move select offices from Detroit to Manhattan?
Fri, 22 Aug 2014Under Johan de Nysschen, Infiniti moved its headquarters from Yokohama, Japan, to Hong Kong. Now at Cadillac, it appears the company's new president could be planning a relocation of at least some of the brand's operations from Detroit to Manhattan, according to a new report from Reuters.
In the case of Infiniti, de Nysschen pushed for the move because moving away from the brand's Nissan overlords would allow it a bit more freedom. It's evidently a similar case for Cadillac, with Reuters speculating that such a move would help distance the brand from the corporate culture in Detroit. A Big Apple move could also attract new talent that may have considered a job with the brand but were put off by the idea of living in Detroit.
It's important to note that if such a move takes place, it likely won't affect the folks actually responsible for developing the brand's vehicles. Instead, administrative functions, including marketing, could be the focus of the relocation.
