This is a trrue cream puff. Has been garaged all of it's life and does not have a scratch or ding on it. Never smoked in. All original. Accident free. It looks like it should be in a new car showroom. The leather seats are in great condition, heated, have elumbar, all in perfect shape, soft and wrinkle free. No one has ever sat in the back seat it seems and the front are near to new, heated and have lumbar controls. The steering wheel has the wood and are electric telescoping and vertical. All the books and keys including the valet key. Two remotes. Matching premium Michelins all seasons with white stripe have 75% thread left. Chrome wheels. Electric sun shades. Front and rear vanity mirrors with lights. Everything works as it should. No noises squeaks or oil burn. The Front struts and rear shocks were just replaced. Not a problem with this super nice, rust free Florida, luxury sedan. Runs smooth and shifts as it should. Cadillac expects major growth in China
Thu, 25 Sep 2014The US sales issues facing Cadillac are not being paralleled in the People's Republic of China, as a new report from Automotive News indicates the US luxury maker should see its sales increase by as much as 40 percent.
The report cites Cadillac's own forecasts, which put its 2014 sales in the PRC at 70,000 units after cresting 45,000 vehicles at the end of August. Provided the sales pace holds true through 2015, the brand would hit its new 100,000-unit sales goal, AN reports.
"We're very optimistic about the luxury market, we believe that the luxury market by 2016 here will become the largest luxury market in the world, surpassing even the size of luxury in Europe," GM China President Matthew Tsien told AN. "With [Cadillac president] Johan [de Nysschen], we have somebody that really is an executive that understands luxury, but he also is very, very keen on understanding what do we need here in China for Cadillac to be successful."
Cadillac abandons plans for six-digit flagship sedan
Mon, 01 Jul 2013So much for that party. Cadillac has announced that it is walking away from plans to build a high-dollar, rear-wheel-drive ultraluxury sedan. The low-volume model would have been based on the lusty Ciel Concept, and the production iteration would have carried a price tag well over $100,000. Executives with the automaker reportedly claim the model wouldn't have bolstered the brand enough to be worth the investment.
Even so, Automotive News reports Cadillac is still on track to build a range-topping four-door to go head-to-head with the BMW 7 Series and Mercedes-Benz S-Class. That model will likely be constructed on the company's upcoming Omega rear-wheel-drive platform, but we won't see it bow until at least 2016. Right now, the front-wheel-drive XTS sits at the top of the Cadillac lineup, and while that machine and it's twin-turbocharged V6 variant makes a compelling argument against certain luxury entries, it falls short serving as a legitimate competitor for the likes of the 7 Series and S-Class for enthusiast drivers.
