I am listing this car for my friend. This is a 1984 Cadillac Coupe deVille. It is a nice clean car! Garage kept! Runs and drives very nice! Very well maintained! Air conditioning blows cold! Everything works as it should, except for the power door locks and the radio. The radio comes on and lights up, but it has no sound. This just happened. It could be the antenna, not sure. The body and paint are very nice! No visible signs of rust. Does have some minor chips. But all in all it is very nice driver quality! It is a very nice shade of PINK! It is pink everywhere. Not sure if this is a factory color. Inside the trunk, door jams, etc. it is PINK. Chrome is nice! But it is starting to show its age. It has a nice shine, but there is little rust on the back bumper, as shown in the pictures. The white vinyl top is like new! The tires are like new! They are Cokers, correct white wall! The interior is beautiful white leather with VERY MINIMAL wear! The door panels are very nice! No cracks. The dash is very nice! No cracks! The headliner is new! Also, rugs are very nice! WHO DOESN'T WANT A PINK CADILLAC! I have described it as best I could. Cadillac CT6 to be lighter than CTS, get PHEV model
Mon, 06 Oct 2014Cadillac is suddenly one of the most talked about automakers in the US with Johan de Nysschen taking control. The brand claims that it eventually wants to become, once again, the standard of the world. One of the first vehicles to actually prove whether that's possible is its upcoming CT6 flagship sedan. We still don't know what the production version looks like undisguised, but other important details are falling into place. The latest big news sheds some light on the Caddy's powertrain and some estimates of its weight and size.
General Motors product chief Mark Reuss dropped the details at the automaker's Global Business Conference. According to The Detroit News, he revealed that the CT6 would use a twin-turbocharged, 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and a plug-in hybrid would be an additional option. He reportedly claimed it would be the most "powerful six-cylinder gas engine in the segment" and said the hybrid could get around 70 miles per gallon.
Reuss also revealed that the CT6 would be about 53 pounds lighter than the current CTS, despite being about 8 inches longer, according to The Detroit News. If that's the case, the new flagship is about 203.5-inches long, which is 1.5-inches more than the XTS.
Cadillac teases production ELR ahead of Detroit Auto Show
Tue, 18 Dec 2012General Motors has just confirmed that the 2014 Cadillac ELR will make its official debut next month at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. We've already seen the ELR testing earlier this year using the same range-extended electric drive system as the Chevrolet Volt, and based on the shadowy image above, we're happy to see that the coupe's styling has stayed pretty true to 2009 Converj Concept.
The two-door ELR will be built alongside the Volt at GM's Detroit-Hamtramck plant starting later next year. Aside from this info, Cadillac has remained tight-lipped on the specific details of the car. But all that will all change on January 15.

GM recalls full-size truck, SUVs and vans over faulty shifter mechanism
Mon, 07 Jan 2013Twelve different General Motors vehicles from the 2013 model year, up to 54,686 units in total, are being recalled over two potential issues with their steering columns. The models in question, all full-size trucks, SUVs or vans, are the: Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT, Chevrolet Avalanche, Express, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, and GMC Savana, Sierra, Yukon and Yukon XL.
The affected vehicles were built with a fractured parking lock cable or "a malformed steering column lock actuator gear in the lock module assembly." As a consequence, they could shift out of park without the brake pedal being applied or with the key removed or in the off position.
A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration indicates that the recall should begin on January 17. GM will notify owners, at which time they can take their vehicles to their dealers for repair free of charge. Have a look at the bulletin below for more information.
