1964 Cadillac DeVille Convertible out of my private collection. Less than 99K original miles! A true survivor. This car has been used, but not abused. I bought it because I always wanted a 1964 Cadillac Convertible. This car is not perfect, but it can be with very little money. You can enjoy driving this beauty (as I did) or bring it back to showroom condition. Hagerty value guide places this car in average condition at just over $25K, I would like to get somewhere reasonably close to that for this car. Remember, this car is 50 years old and has been driven less than 2,000 miles per year. The engine runs strong (0 -60 in just under 7 seconds). This is not a matching numbers car as the original engine was replaced several owners ago (so I was told by the previous owner who knew the original owner), but it was replaced with a period correct 1964 429 Cu. Inch Cadillac motor. The motor runs smooth as silk, but the carbuerator is running rich and needs to be rebuilt/replaced. I suggest seeing the car in person before you buy, that way you know what you are getting. I can provide more pics on request, and try to answer any questions you have.

Combative de Nysschen defends Cadillac move, naming change

Johan de Nysschen isn't afraid of taking quick, decisive actions, even if they are criticized. Since taking the wheel at Cadillac, he instigated moving the luxury division's base of operations to Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood and introduced a new naming scheme for the future of the brand, like he did at Infiniti. The polarizing boss recently explained his feelings about the future of Cadillac in more depth on his Facebook page, but unfortunately only his friends could read it. Thankfully, Daily Kanban posted much of the strongly worded missive for the whole world to see.
Much of the message examines the decision to move some employees to New York. De Nysschen claims that it's all about giving Cadillac distance from Detroit to reshape itself. It allows for, "No distractions. No side shows. No cross-brand corporate considerations. No homogenized lowest common denominator approach. Just pure, unadulterated, CLASS."
2015 Cadillac ATS-V gunning for the BMW M3
Mon, 03 Jun 2013Spy photographers have spotted something interesting. Cadillac engineers have taken to public streets with the upcoming ATS-V and a playmate: the current BMW M3 Sedan. The prototype seen here wears a more aggressive front fascia, flared fenders and beefy brakes. Quad exhaust tips and what looks to be a small lip spoiler on the trunk deck sum up the most obvious visual changes over the standard ATS outside. Word has it the ATS-V will bow with the same twin-turbo 3.6-liter V6 available in the nose of the XTS. In that application, the engine is good for a stout 410 horsepower, which should be more than enough to hustle the sedan around a track.
Other details are still murky, however. First and foremost: will GM offer the ATS-V with an honest manual transmission, like it does with its big brother, the CTS-V? Something tells us we won't have long to wait to find out - the machine will likely bow next year as a 2015 model. Until then, dig in on our newest bevy of spy photos.
Cadillac teases camo'd ELR ahead of Detroit debut
Tue, 08 Jan 2013With the 2014 Cadillac ELR being introduced next week at the Detroit Auto Show, General Motors has revealed another picture of its luxury range extended electric vehicle. Last month, we saw a dark, teaser photo showing some of the body detail for the electric coupe, but this recent photo shows the Cadillac in full camouflage testing in California back in September.
If this car looks familiar, it's because our spy shooters got a jump on GM by catching the car in action and providing pictures from all angles. There are still no official details for the ELR yet aside from the fact that it will share the Voltec system with the Chevrolet Volt, but we'll finally see the car unveiled in Detroit a week from today.
