Custom Double-Stretch Limousine. The original owner had this car custom built to honor Batman and Gotham City. This vehicle has numerous upgrades that include:

* Raised roof
* Moon roof
* Panoramic roof
* 6 TV Monitors
* "Bat" - shaped partition
* Cigar humidor
* Custom lighting
* 2 Ice bins
* 4 Champagne/Bottle buckets
* Touch-screen controls for lighting, a/c, partition, fiber optics, strobe, stereo
* Printer compartment
* ipod cord connector
* "Gotham City" plates on door sills and office console

With the raised roof, this custom limo looks like a cross between a hearse and a SUV. But one thing for sure, this is a one-of-a-kind limo that rides like a dream. It is an extremely smooth cruiser and the mechanics of this beast are excellent. If you are looking for a unique custom ride for up to 8 passengers, then look no further...this is it.

This is a no-reserve auction item that will sell to the highest bidder. It is available in San Diego to inspect and test drive. The exterior is not perfect. There are some imperfections in the paint and there are a few spots in the body that are slightly bubbling from rust/water intrusion. We have done our best to show these imperfections. A lot of people would not notice them because the paint on top is still good and glossy, but they are there none-the-less.

Overall, this is a solid custom ride with lots of potential. It can be used as-is for years to come...or, for the perfectionist, it has plenty of possibilities for improvement.

This Limo is ready to go, and would have no issues driving across the nation, so bid to win and good luck!

Online Find Of The Day: 2008 Cadillac XLR picks up where Excalibur left off

Thu, 23 May 2013

We try very, very hard to keep snark away from creations like the one you see here. After all, someone poured plenty of enthusiasm, time and money into turning a 2008 Cadillac XLR into a modern interpretation of the new-old cars typically done by cottage builders like Excalibur and Clénet. Even so, it's hard not to wince when you set an eye on this machine. With its wheelbase stretched to accommodate the extra bodywork, goofy sidewalls and upkicked nose (examine it in profile, it looks slightly bent in the middle), this "neoclassic" takes whatever was loveable about the Cadillac underneath and buries it in a tacky grave.
Miraculously, the engine bay has been left unmolested, which means the retractable hardtop convertible still features a 4.6-liter Northstar V8 engine good for 320 horsepower. If only that were enough to outrun its shame. If, for some reason, you feel like taking this thing home, Harry Kaufmann Motorcars of Milwaukee says it can be yours for a paltry $74,998. We wish were joking. Check it out here.

Cadillac sales chief Peffer resigns amidst slow sales

Fri, 20 Jun 2014

Cadillac continues to hemorrhage executives, as it's just seen its fourth high-level departure in the past year. Vice President of Global Strategic Development Don Butler (who defected to Ford) and European President and Managing Director Susan Docherty both left the company of their own volition, while Chase Hawkins, Cadillac's vice president of sales and service, was fired following a "violation of policy" in July of 2013. Strangely, it's Hawkins' replacement, Bill Peffer (shown above), who has handed in his papers this time around.
"Bill left to pursue other interests. Kurt McNeil replaces him, effective immediately," spokesman David Caldwell told Autoblog via email.
McNeil last held the VP of sales and service position back in 2012. He's currently the vice president of US sales for all of General Motors. According to The Detroit News, McNeil will take on the post in what is likely an interim capacity.

Cadillac recalls 17,500 SRX CUVs in Canada

Fri, 03 Oct 2014

When reporting on recalls, Autoblog generally tries to focus on the US market. However, a recent campaign in Canada seems important enough to be worth mentioning because it could eventually affect American drivers. General Motors is repairing 17,481 Canadian examples of the Cadillac SRX from the 2010-2015 model years because of the possibility of a loose nut in the rear suspension. For the moment, the automaker hasn't yet announced whether the CUV in the US would require a similar campaign.
The notice was dated September 18, 2014, on the website for Transport Canada, similar to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in the US. It says, "the rear suspension toe link jam nuts" might not have been sufficiency tightened, which could allow a rear wheel to turn "inboard or outboard" while driving. If this happens, it could cause a sudden change in handling. Canadian Cadillac dealers are inspecting the parts and replacing the toe link if necessary.
This campaign isn't listed on the GM's running recall tally from September, which includes exported models, but it does list four other campaigns for the SRX this year - three in this range of years and one for the 2004-2006 model. Autoblog reached out to the company to ask about the possibility of this recall expanding to the US and were told "We have not publicly announced US recalls" for the issues affecting the SRX. The New York Times was given a similar quote. Scroll down to read the notice from Transport Canada.
