This is a NO RESERVE listing.

I have acquired another clean, low-mileage Riviera!

This is my 1995 Buick Riviera coupe with 111,396 miles.  This is a clean, original, good-condition Riviera that has been very well cared for.  This car is much nicer and in better condition that most of the other examples you will find for sale.  This is a clean, dependable and reliable car in very nice shape.

This car has the naturally-aspirated 3800 205HP engine, which has proven to be much more reliable than the supercharged engine.  If you're buying a car to drive, this is the bulletproof-reliable engine.  Fuel economy is also excellent; the window sticker EPA rating was 29 mpg highway.

Rather than a concours-quality example, this is a fine car to drive and enjoy.  This is a quiet, comfortable and reliable Riviera.

This car has the following equipment and options:
  • 3.8L 205HP 3800 V6 engine
  • automatic transmission
  • power leather seats
  • aluminum wheels
  • AM/FM cassette and CD player
  • dual-zone climate control with A/C (blows cold)
  • ABS brakes and traction control
The original owners manual comes with the car.

These cars are increasingly difficult to find in good condition, many of them are rusted out, with numerous mechanical and cosmetic problems.  This car is the exception to that- this is a clean, solid, very respectable car in nice condition for the age.

This is a very nice, very well kept 8th-generation Riviera.  The paint is original and the car has not been in any known accidents.  The body is clean and straight and looks very nice for the age.  The paint quality is still very good- again this appears to be all-original paint on the car.

The interior of this Riviera is excellent.  The leather seats show little to no wear and they look very good.  The carpets are clean and in good condition and the interior is clean and very well kept.  Please view the photos to see how nice this interior really looks.

Most importantly, this is a totally dependable and reliable car that runs and drives beautifully.  The engine and transmission are in excellent working condition with no known problems or issues.  The car drives beautifully with good brakes and steering, and a very comfortable ride.  This car is smooth, powerful and it drives like a dream.  There is no check engine light illuminated, nor any other warning lights on except the "traction control off" light is on.

This is a respectable, nice-looking car that is exceptionally comfortable and great to drive.  This is a Riviera you can be proud to drive!

This is a 19 year old car, not a brand new car.  This is a list of every known defect in the car: there are some dings along the sides of the car as well as minor nicks and scratches and various minor exterior faults and flaws as might be expected for a car this age.  There are some scratches, scrapes and nicks in the rear bumper.  There is a scrape along the right rear fender.  There is a ding in the right front fender.  There is a crack in the right rear tail light. The tires all have good to excellent tread remaining but the front tires are older in age.  Overall this car looks very good but it is not a perfect or brand-new vehicle.

This car is kept in my storage garage in Willoughby, OH.

You can fly in to Cleveland (CLE) and drive this car home if you like.  Alternatively you can have the car shipped, please contact Angels Moving Autos at 530-245-0481 for a shipping quote.

2024 Buick Encore GX refresh adds Wildcat looks, Avenir trim

Thu, Feb 16 2023

Buick made it clear with the Wildcat EV concept that styling cues from it would start appearing on future products. It turns out the first of them is the refreshed 2024 Encore GX subcompact crossover. And that may seem a little odd to start a revamp of the lineup with the entry-level model, but there is some logic to it. According to Buick representatives, the Encore GX made sense for a few reasons. It was due for a refresh regardless, but also it's the brand's best seller, one that's growing and attracting younger buyers. And as far as refreshes go, the Encore GX's is pretty substantial. The front end is completely redone with the low, frowning grille of the Wildcat and the glaring LED daytime running lights high up. The rear has been updated with new LED taillights and rear bumper design, too, plus the new Buick logo and word mark placed prominently in the middle of the hatch. There are unique features for two new trim levels. The ST, which has been promoted to a full trim instead of just an add-on appearance package, gets gloss black body cladding and other trim such as on the mirrors. It gets unique wheels, ST badges in the grille, and a flat-bottom steering wheel inside. The Avenir, a first for the model and an addition that makes the Avenir trim available on every Buick, features bright grille inserts, body color trim, clear taillight lenses and unique interior upholstery. All Encore GXs benefit from interior updates. Almost the entire dash has been redesigned, mainly in service of the new instruments and infotainment. Every trim gets an 8-inch digital instrument cluster and 11-inch infotainment touch screen. Other details such as the climate control buttons and dials have been revamped as well. The screen can be used to access wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Avenir trim sweetens the interior with unique leather upholstery, power adjustable front seats (10-way for the driver, 8-way for the passenger), a heated steering wheel, air ionizer and auto-dimming rear mirror. Things are mostly the same under the skin, though. The base engine is a turbocharged 1.2-liter three-cylinder making 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. The optional turbo 1.3-liter three-cylinder makes 155 horsepower and 174 pound-feet. They're basically carry-over, as are the drivetrain combinations. Front-wheel-drive Encore GXs get a CVT, and the all-wheel-drive ones get a nine-speed automatic. Pricing is quite reasonable. The base model starts at $26,895.

The new Buick Regal looks like a Mazda, and we're totally cool with that

Mon, Dec 5 2016

Yes, this undisguised Opel Insignia, which will be brought here as the next Buick Regal, looks a lot like a Mazda. You can see it in the grille and headlights, especially – in fact, if you look at one of the photos with tape blocking out the badge in the middle of the winged grille, you might think this is a new Mazda6. The thing is, Mazdas look pretty darn good, so no one's complaining. And when you look at the rest of the car, there's a fair amount of originality going on. Aside from the GM-generic taillights (they look like they could fit on a Chevy, right?) the lines and details are all pretty fresh, and there are some design elements pulled from Buick's gorgeous Avista concept. A sweeping roofline leads to some healthy shoulders at the back, creating a coupe-ish profile with a very abbreviated rear deck. This appears to be a hatchback model and not the four-door sedan, but the general look should carry over. This is definitely a big improvement over the somewhat bulbous current-generation Regal, which also started life out as an Insignia. The car shown here is the Insignia OPC model, with Brembo brakes, big wheels, side skirts, and a front end with big (likely fake) intakes. It will most likely translate to a Regal GS for our market, as is the case with the current OPC and GS. The new Regal/Insignia is expected to use the same platform as the new Buick LaCrosse, which is also shared by the Chevy Malibu and Impala. They should once again be available with front- or all-wheel drive and a choice of turbocharged four-cylinder engines. Rumor has the Opel versions debuting at the Geneva show March, and the Buick would likely follow, possibly in New York in April. View 13 Photos And then there's the wagon. All signs point to Buick finally bringing the most practical Insignia to our market as a Regal. We got wind of a focus group testing the idea, Buick has trademarked the name Regal Tour X. That version would likely go up against the Audi Allroad in the classy, slightly lifted all-wheel-drive wagon category, basically acting as an almost-crossover for people who want a wagon but won't admit it to themselves. The Insignia wagon caught here is also an OPC, and we think it looks even more handsome than the hatch-sedan shown above. The trim piece stretching from the base of the A-pillar all the way up and back down to the tail is a nice touch in profile view, although we're not so sure about how it terminates abruptly at the taillight.

Buick asks design students 'What could a Buick sedan look like in 2030?'

Mon, 09 Jun 2014

When you think of daring concept cars or emotional design-student projects, Buick probably isn't the first brand that comes to mind. It's not for lack of concepts; when General Motors ran down 11 concept-car highlights from Buick's 110-year history, three of them are from the past 15 years, with other experiments in that same timeframe like the Black Hawk, Centieme and Cielo left unmentioned.
But the company still thinks about them even if we don't. It ran a contest for students at Detroit's College for Creative Studies to create a Buick for the year 2030 that would incorporate future materials and transportation needs, and nanotechnology.
Best exterior design went to Sam Kenny for his Neo Classical Buick, Justin Salmon took honors for innovative material use, like having exposed algae on the bodyshell to generate energy, and Namsuk Lee nabbed best overall concept and best interior for his Buick Vision Sedan. You can read more about the design challenge and winners in the press release, and hear students talk about what went into the work in the video below.
