Keasbey, New Jersey, United States
********NO Title ********** BUILD PLATE INFO: ST-71 49487 FL1 075607 BDY TR688 74 B Paint 02A VIN:494871H908816 Other than the fact that this vehicle does not have a title this vehicle a real treasure of a find. Selling due to the amount of other projects I have taken on. My original plan was to give this vehicle a monochromatic paint scheme and obtain a title. There are many great things about this vehicle. The mileage is believed to be original and the reason I can say that is because the seats are all pristine. No Cracks or wear marks , The gas and brake pedal pads are still perfect. Most of the engine still has the factory paint on it. The Transmission fluid is still clean and shifts perfectly, The carburetor is perfectly calibrated. The original exhaust is still intact and tight. I have had the vehicle a few years and obtained it from someone who was sold the car as part of an estate sale without a title. This vehicle appears to have been stored outside most of its life. You Could apply for a CLEAN title in most states. I will do my best to describe everything. If you have any questions I urge you to send me a message thru eBay. EXTERIOR: Paint is faded. Large dent at the left Quarter Panel, Surface rust on hood and some minor rust holes, Some rot in floor pans, some rot in rear wheel wells. Frame: Very Solid but has surface rust. Body Trim: pitted and faded Bumpers: straight metal but pitted chrome Grille: faded and pitted INTERIOR: Seats are perfect and will clean up to like new condition Dashboard: Cracked , Rear Shelf : worn and faded , Headliner: Missing and hanging down Door Trims: Very Good, Steering wheel: a little soft but intact Carpeting: not worn but needs to be replaced due to some water damage in floor pans Rear side glass: both Rear electric power motors work-glass goes up and down. Movie Review: Black Air: The Buick Grand National Documentary
Thu, 06 Dec 2012As Buick currently claws and scratches its way back into relevance to compete against luxury brands like Lexus and Acura, it's hard to believe that not too long ago, the brand had a car that was mentioned in the same breath as Corvette, Lamborghini and Ferrari. That car? None other than the Buick Grand National. All black with a turbocharged V6 and some of the quickest acceleration of its time, the Grand National, in today's standards, is along the lines of a 2013 Shelby GT500 with both cars essentially being a working man's supercar.
The last Grand National rolled off the assembly line in Flint, MI on December 11, 1987, and to mark the silver anniversary of that somber occasion, Black Air is a documentary of the Grand National from the perspective of the enthusiast, the collector, the media and even from those at General Motors responsible for creating such a sinister legend. Like the car itself, Andrew Filippone Jr. shoots the documentary in a raw fashion, and it definitely helps to show why a low-volume muscle car from the 1980s is still the object of obsession for many automotive enthusiasts to this day.
GM recalling 2013 Buick LaCrosse, Cadillac SRX over transmission software
Thu, 21 Mar 2013The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued recalls for the 2013 Buick LaCrosse and 2013 Cadillac SRX due to a problem with the software for the transmission controller. On about 27,000 SRX and LaCrosse models, the transmission could accidentally be shifted to Sport mode, which would reduce the amount of engine braking drivers experience.
NHTSA says this could increase the risk of a crash, but, fortunately, the required fix is simply an update to the software.
While we're on the subject of General Motors vehicle recalls, a small number (48) of compressed natural gas versions of the 2011 Chevrolet Express are also being recalled for a potential risk of fire or explosion. Yikes. Both official recall notices are posted below.
Buick celebrates 110 years by naming most significant model of each decade
Sun, 23 Jun 2013In May of 1903, Buick began work on its first vehicle, the 1904 Model B, the first example of which was sold to a doctor in Flint, Michigan. That first sale was appropriate since later on, Buick became known as a "doctor's car." The Model B is the first of 11 cars chosen by Buick to highlight each decade of the company's 110-year history.
The 1916 D-45 Touring with a six-cylinder engine was Buick's highest seller that year, and helped push overall sales past six figures for the first time, making Buick the top-selling automotive brand. In 1931, Series 50 got an eight-cylinder engine, which helped the company survive the Great Depression. The 1936 Century was the first Buick that could hit 100 miles per hour, the 1949 Roadmaster had a supporting role in Rain Man, the 1953 Skylark had Italian wire wheels and the owner's name engraved on its steering wheel.
Then we have the iconic 1963 Riviera, the V6-powered 1975 Regal, and in 1987, the legendary GNX. With a turbocharged, intercooled V6 pumping out 276-horsepower it could hit 60 mph in just 4.6 seconds. In 1999 Buick built the first car in China, the Century, and that country remains the brand's largest market.
