This ‘08 BMW X5 3.0si Sapphire Black exterior & Tabacco Brown interior has been meticulously maintained and taken care of inside out.  I have receipts of maintenance and am the second owner. In addition to the factory options, this SUV is equipped with Huper Optik tints, extended fender arch, 20” 300M-style wheels, oval 4.8i exhaust tips and clear bumper reflectors to give it the aggressive, yet sleek look.  You will be hard pressed to find another 3.0si with a color combo like this and with all the options listed below. I am asking for $25,900 or best offer. I’ll throw in like new original BMW '209' 18 inches wheels with TPMS for additional $900 if you like to run winter / summer set up. These are retailing for over $1,500.

The few unfortunate flaws: front passenger door has a minor key scratch (done by some hater), front plastic bumper has a small scratch, front driver side bumper/fender has a little scuff (can barely see), front passenger side under the clear reflector has normal wear, a very small rock chip on the back passenger door, both front 20” rims have some scuffs, interior driver side middle console wood trim has minor hair line crack (barely can be seen). Pictures of some of these are included and can email more if requested.  Other than this the car is flawless and running like a champ. I just replaced the front 275/40/20 & rear 315/35/20 tires with All-seasons Continental ExtremeContact DWS  last November. Both front/rear brakes & rotors were replaced last year. The next service due is Oil which you don’t have to worry about for the next 10,000 miles.  Buy with confidence and please no low ball offers. Feel free to send me an email with any questions.

List of Options:

  • Immaculate Tabacco Brown leather interior with Dark Bamboo Wood Trim.

A closer look at the 2015 BMW M3 and M4

Fri, 17 Jan 2014

It's fair to say we're going to miss the E92 BMW M3. Its high-revving V8, flame-styled looks and excellent driving character made it quite simply one of the best cars of the 2000s. Its replacements, the new M3 Sedan and M4 Coupe have a lot to live up to.
We still have a few months to wait until we can drive the new cars, but that doesn't mean we can't get excited in the meantime, learning everything we can. To find out, we sent west coast editor Michael Harley onto the Detroit Auto Show floor earlier this week to talk about the new M cars with BMW product manager Victor Leleu.
If you want a concise, but highly informative rundown of these new cars, look no further than this video. Leleu talks about the styling, weight savings and engines in a lot of detail, making this an interview M fans aren't going to want to miss. Scroll down for the full video.

Ferrari, BMW lend expertise to Olympic bobsled, skeleton, luge

Mon, Jan 8 2018

LONDON — There are plenty of reasons why the sport of bobsleigh is sometimes referred to as Formula One on ice, but few as obvious as Italy's World Cup sleds. Resplendent in Ferrari red, and with a set of team sponsor Pirelli's P-Zero tyres painted on the sides, they are even liveried to look like racing cars. Ferrari, Formula One's most glamorous and successful team, have worked with the Italian federation, whose sleds run without sponsor branding at the Olympics, since 2010 and in the run-up to next month's Pyeongchang Winter Games. Former rival BMW, title sponsor of the World Cup, has long partnered the U.S. bobsleigh team, while McLaren teamed up with Britain's bob and skeleton athletes for the 2014 Sochi Games in Russia. "There's always the link between the Formula One companies, or any motor company, and skeleton and bobsleigh," says Rachel Blackburn, the engineer who has been involved in Britain's skeleton program since 2006 and who used to work for McLaren. "There's the Ferrari sleds and the BMW sleds ... when we were at McLaren it kind of made a good story," she told Reuters by telephone from her home in Dubai. That somewhat manufactured rivalry has died down in the years since Sochi, with McLaren no longer involved and Ferrari's presence low key. But the worlds of grand prix motor racing and sliding sports still have plenty in common. Bobsled, luge and skeleton are among the fastest of Olympic sports, with bobsleds reaching speeds over 90 mph. Drivers are subjected to gut-wrenching G-forces, and crashes can be fatal. And then there is the ongoing debate about cost controls, the direction of future rules, preserving a level playing field and obsessive secrecy — all endlessly recurring themes in Formula One. 80 mph on a tea tray Blackburn said skeleton, where riders hit 80 mph on what has glibly been compared to an oversized tea-tray, sits somewhere between Americas Cup yachts and Formula One cars in terms of speed and aerodynamics. "Applied engineering is far more interesting than the pure stuff, so when its applied to something that's fun and exciting it does make it a lot easier to solve problems," she said. "There is the Americas Cup, sailing, Formula One and the high speed ice sports as well. It's the same concept.

2016 BMW X5 M is big and bold, not beautiful

Wed, 19 Nov 2014

Awesome as it is, the BMW X5 M has never really been an attractive machine. Big and bulgy are the themes here, and that's only more pronounced with the X5's most recent refresh. But no matter, the X5 M has never been about looks - for this machine, it's all about performance, and BMW's hi-po crossover absolutely delivers in this regard.
Under the hood is the familiar 4.4-liter, twin-turbo V8, though power has been boosted to 567 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque - healthy increases of 12 and 53, respectively, compared to the outgoing model. Hitting 60 miles per hour is said to take just four seconds, which is damn impressive considering this thing weighs well over 5,000 pounds.
But the X5 M has always been shockingly good to drive, with limits you'll never reach except in the most hardcore track scenarios (which we'd really like to see, by the way). It's not the prettiest thing ever, but that's okay. It's not exactly cheap, though, with prices starting at $99,650. Woof.
