2002 Bmw X5 4.4i Sport Utility 4-door 4.4l Needs Transmission- Is Driveable on 2040-cars
Hooksett, New Hampshire, United States
2001 BMW X5 4.4i automatic in great shape. Engine runs great, transmission is in failsafe mode and can be driven to be repaired. It needs a rebuild or replacement transmission, no doubt. Everything else works including AC, except for drivers window needs a regulator. Tires are snow tires which are at about 75% worn due to not rotating (worn on the inside rear) paint is in great shape. This was driven to my repair shop by a Canadian owner whereas he opted to leave the vehicle in the US. I obtained a bill of sale and Canadian registration/transfer of ownership papers. I will provide the same to the new buyer, but state laws are different with regard to imports. Although this vehicle was originally a US vehicle, you may be required to obtain additional documents from Canada. I am a licensed NH automotive dealer and will work with you to obtain title in your state. Please do the research. I am selling this vehicle for parts or repair, but the buyer is responsible for registration and obtaining any additional documents from Canada with regard to import. I am selling this X5 at no reserve with a starting bid of $500 so it will sell one way or another to the highest bidder.

BMW considering building 3 Series in North America
Sun, 13 Apr 2014There might be even more BMWs coming from North America soon. The company recently announced plans to build a flagship crossover called the X7 at its Spartanburg, SC, factory. Now, rumors are emerging that the Bavarians might be thinking about building a second North American factory that could build its quick-selling 3 Series.
According to Bloomberg, the German luxury giant is considering several possible locations for a North American factory, including two in Mexico, that may build the 3. "We will decide this in the next months. On the North American continent, there's still potential," said BMW production boss, Harald Krueger, in an interview meant for company staff obtained by Bloomberg.
If BMW decides to open a plant in Mexico, it would be following its rival Audi, which already announced construction of a factory there. Mercedes-Benz has been rumored to be working on a deal with Nissan to build its cars South of the Border as well. Rumors of Bimmer considering Mexican production have also cropped up in the past, so it wouldn't come as a total surprise to hear it made official.
There's no substitution for BMW's E30 Mmmmm3
Mon, 17 Jun 2013If you told someone that you had a friend with a four-cylinder BMW who "would let me wash the car," and in exchange for the privilege then let you drive that clean BMW once around the block, your first question would probably be "What kind of BMW is this?" There's a chance you wouldn't be surprised once you found out the coupe in question was the E30 M3, a car our own Zach Bowman dubbed the "Mmmmm3."
Petrolicious talks to Gabor Mester about the car he fell in love with, a black version of the original "Munich mauler" that was owned by the parents of a high-school friend - oh, and Mester was also in high school when this washing and driving took place. When the original owners were ready to sell, Mestor was ready to buy, and he hasn't had a single regret about it since.
You can enjoy his story in his words in the video below.
2015 BMW M4 Convertible will give the best bad hair days
Wed, 16 Apr 2014BMW officially unveiled the 2015 M4 Convertible at the Javits Center in New York this morning. The droptop, which will slot in next to the M4 Coupe in BMW's performance line, offers infinitely more headroom, fresh air and sunshine for those that want a little more great outdoors and tousled hair with their M experience.
Visually, the M4 convertible is similar to the coupe, and carries on the hardtop's athletic stance with a long wheelbase, short front overhang, aerodynamic mirrors and in the case of this showcar, optional yellow-painted brake calipers. The car's expressive, angry face is perhaps the most notable aspect of its styling, screaming "get the hell out of my way!" with its signature twin-bar kidney grille, trio of air intakes and squinty LED headlights. Inside, the convertible employs three-temperature neck warmers (for chilly top-down days), an absurd amount of "M" logos and a wealth of luxury and technology features.
The rear-wheel-drive convertible uses the same engine as the coupe: a high-revving, twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six producing 425 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque, mated to either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed M dual-clutch transmission. BMW says the car can make a 0-60 sprint in just 4.4 seconds when equipped with the manual.
