This is an original and unmolested example of a 1993 BMW 850ci with an automatic transmission, in the most desirable combination Schwarz II (Jet Black) exterior paint over black leather, 117,000 miles on the odometer. The exterior paint of the car was recently redone, both front and rear bumpers, trunk lid, doors, front fenders and rear quarter panels were repainted to properly remove the dings and rock chips on the paint. Only the hood and the roof remains with the original factory paint. The car's exterior body simply shows beautifully and the undercarriage do not show any signs of rust developing. All electronics on the car work! All the interior lights, dash instrumentation and controls all work flawlessly. There are no dash warning lights whatsoever on the cluster. All window switches, door locks, trunk and sunroof movement work great. All exterior lights including movement of the pop up headlights are in perfect working condition and do not require any adjustment. Recent maintenance items that were completed: Full transmission service (filter kit w/ gasket and oem ATF fluid) Full A/C recharge - blows ice cold w/ no leaks Brake pads replacement Complete sunroof moving parts were replaced with oem parts Fresh set of tires Recent smog check The ride and drive of this car is extremely smooth and quiet. The available power from the silky smooth V12 is ever present and simply a joy to experience. Engine idles perfect and stable with no noises. Transmission shifts are incredibly smooth and seamless. The interior of the vehicle is complete and shows minimal signs of wear. The driver and passenger seat side bolsters show the most wear, but the dash, console, door panels and rear seat look very good and show very minimal wear. BMW M235i Racing restores our faith in 'M'
Wed, 20 Nov 2013Based on the upcoming BMW 2 Series and aimed at amateur and semi-professional racers, the 2014 BMW M235i Racing is a stripped-down, race-spec coupe ready to take on the Nürburgring in the VLN Endurance Championship race series against cars from Audi, Porsche and Toyota.
Obvious in the image above (click to enlarge), BMW has given the M235i Racing the wide-body treatment with a track that has been stretched by 3.5 inches. Under the hood, the 3.0-liter turbocharged inline six-cylinder receives a power boost from a stock 322 horsepower up slightly to 333 hp, while other modifications include a full FIA roll cage, a racing fuel tank and a limited slip rear differential.
The M235i Racing replaces the M3 GT4 as BMW's factory racer, and it will be priced at 59,500 euros (close to $80,000), which is about as affordable as a factory-prepped racecar can get. The full press release is posted below, but we can't wait to see this car in action next year.
2014 BMW 6 Series M Sport family to start from $80,625*

Offered on all versions of the 640i and 650i for the 2014 model year, the company's M Sport Edition package goes on sale in June with prices starting at $80,625 for the 640i Coupe, $83,325 for the 640i Gran Coupe and $87,925 for the 640i Convertible (*all prices including $925 for destination).
This package will allow standard 6 Series models to receive M6 styling cues like the more aggressive, aero-tuned front fascia, 19-inch wheels and even the option of the M6-exclusive Sakhir Orange metallic hue shown above. Matching the M6-like exterior, the interior will also be upgraded with an M-specific steering wheel, M badges on the door sill plates and the option of BMW Individual leather with a unique white and orange color scheme. With price increases of well over $5,000 for the M Sport Edition, this package also includes plenty of standard features like the company's Professional hi-fi audio system, head-up display, ConnectedDrive Navigation and - wait for it - a ski bag.

After a head-to-head lap with commentary during drifts, Meaden takes each car out to set a representative lap time.
