Im selling my 1991 BMW 850i 6 speed manual transmission in a rare Mauritiusblau Metallic. Currently it has a little over 72k miles. Cosmetically it is in very good condition. It has a clean title and carfax. The entire car was recently repainted its original Mauritiusblau Metallic color. I spent 3000 on the quality paint job. This car was my garage queen. I only drove it on the weekends or to car shows. Maintenance is up to date. I recently replaced the oil pan gasket and oil pan, transmission fluid, and engine oil. The car drives straight with no shakes or shimmies like many 8 series bmws do. The suspension is in very good condition with no worn bushings or struts. It does not leak any fluid.

The interior is in very good condition for its age. No tears or major wear on the seats as you can see in the pictures. The tires are almost brand new with a recent balance and alignment. I have owned this 8 for a little over a year and now its time to sell her and pick up my next toy. This was my 3rd 850i in manual I have owned.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a low mileage, well maintained 6 speed 850i in a rare color.

If you have any questions feel free to call or text me. (949) 521-1961

Disclosures: Sunroof needs the cables redone. The information display has some pixels out (common among most bmws of this age)

Asking price: 22,500

Alpina B4 coupe will be your subtle M4

Sat, 14 Sep 2013

We're big fans of Alpina here at Autoblog - the BMW tuner has created some seriously delicious products in the past, and recently tuned the diesel-powered 3 Series wagon to create the D3 Bi-Turbo. What we like most about Alpina is how the cars only look subtly more aggressive than stock, yet they pack a real wallop under the hood.
Take this B4 Coupe, recently spotted testing at the Nürburgring. It looks pretty tame compared to the normal 435i, the only visual additions being the Alpina-standard 21-spoke wheels, modified front lip and rear wing spoiler. But under the hood, Alpina is reportedly working on a tuned, twin-turbo straight-six that produces something like 410 horsepower. That means the B4 should be good for a 0-62 time of 4.2 seconds, with a top speed around 190 mph. Rear-wheel drive will be standard, though our spies suggest that Alpina could also use all-wheel drive here in the B4.
We have no doubt that the next BMW M4 will be super hot, but for those seeking a bit more stealth and exclusivity, this Alpina B4 certainly looks the business. Check it out in our gallery above.

BMW i8 official images leak ahead of Frankfurt [w/video]

Tue, 03 Sep 2013

The new BMW i8 plug-in electric supercar isn't set to make its official debut until September 10, when it will glide onto the Frankfurt Motor Show stage amidst a sea of flash photography. Of course, that isn't so true in today's world, where debuts are always preceded (often carefully) by "leaks."
Take this trio of images of the BMW i8 - there's just enough of the exterior on display in the profile shot to draw attention, without showing important styling points that might be present on the front or back of the car. The same goes for the video attached below. The cabin shot is cool, but isn't particularly earth-shattering when it comes to BMW interiors. As for the skeletal shot, we can see the 1.5-liter, turbocharged engine positioned between the rear axles, the battery pack found in what would be the transmission tunnel and the front-mounted electric motors.
We'll have a full set of live images when the BMW i8 makes its debut in Frankfurt next week. Until then, have a look in the gallery and at the video below, and let us know what you think of BMW's next big thing.

BMW M2 reportedly green-lit

Thu, 01 May 2014

A BMW M2 is on the way, according to a sub-forum in the Bimmerpost empire. Of course, we're actively enjoying a few grains of salt, just to be safe, as the post doesn't mention explicit sources, saying only that "multiple inside sources (who have been accurate in the past)," have confirmed the car.
Provided the forum is correct, though, there's some juicy information here. Production is allegedly slated for late fall 2015, with deliveries likely starting in early 2016. The new sports coupe should arrive with 365 to 375 horsepower, courtesy of an upgraded version of BMW's N55 turbocharged, 3.0-liter inline-six.
The report claims BMW also considered a modified version of the 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder found in the Mini Cooper S. That engine, known internally as the B48, would have been called the S48 for M2 duty, a significance that we're sure BMW purists would appreciate (the only BMW engine to wear an S designation was the four-cylinder from the legendary E30 M3).
