1990 Bmw 750il Black V12 on 2040-cars
Clinton, Connecticut, United States
1990 e32 750il
Starts and runs fine, but the engine is running rich. The transmission recently went into "Trans Program" which as someone familiar with these cars know means that the transmission disabled itself to prevent damage. There are many things that could trigger a "Trans Program" ranging from a weak battery to a bad transmission. I had the transmission fluid changed along with the transmission's filter and the "Trans Program" has gone away. As the car is now, it is able to be driven, however I am including this information in the listing because I want to be entirely honest to the next buyer because if you were to simply drive the car, there is no indication of any transmission related issues that might exist. Aside from those two things, the car has no issues that I know of. The car has no rust, the interior has no rips, holes, or burns and I do not believe this car has ever been smoked in. Included with the car is a 1989 e32 750il parts car. The parts car has a black exterior with tan interior and does not operate. I was told by it's previous owner that it drove fine prior to it becoming a parts car. I have tried to describe all important aspects of the cars, but will be happy to answer any and all questions you may have. The photos were taken prior to the snow season, however the car looks just the same now as it did then. If you'd like other photos, feel free to contact me an I will send you additional ones of whatever you'd like. Edit: Forgot to include this, but if you look at the vehicle history report, you'll see that a previous owner had made an insurance claim, the autocheck lists it as an accident-non collision. I was told it had something to do with water damaged some part and he chose to have the insurance pay for the repair. |

BMW X4 Concept images leak ahead of Shanghai debut
Thu, 04 Apr 2013Last month, BMW confirmed that its long-awaited X4 crossover would debut next year, but other than imagining a smaller X6-shaped crossover, we really had no idea what the new niche model would look like. That is until a Russian website, Autowp, leaked a handful of embargoed images this morning showing the X4 Concept that will be unveiled in a couple of weeks at the Shanghai Motor Show.
From what we can see of this concept's styling, there are more elements shared with current BMW models than not. The face of the concept is an attractive blend of the current 3 Series sedan and the X3, while the roofline has definitely plucked right from the X6. This thinly veiled concept should carry over almost untouched when it enters production with the exception of the door handles and the overly stylized fascias and side mirrors. According to CarScoops, it will measure the same length as the current X3 and use the same engine lineup as well. Stay tuned, as we'll have more information on this concept shortly.
Watch man destroy his M6 'lemon' with a sledgehammer and ax
Tue, 17 Sep 2013Just to be clear, the owner of this BMW M6 isn't ready for another one. He and his friend destroyed the V10-powered coupe in anger at the entrance to the Frankfurt Motor Show in a decidedly public fashion. Bild and GT Spirit report that the owner was angry over mysterious quality and reliability issues that he claims BMW wasn't able to fix. What we have here, folks, is claimed to be a very expensive lemon.
As the story goes, owner Pourmohseni Hadi bought the 2007 M6 in 2008, and five years later, he is still complaining about mysterious vibrations, rattles and severe jolts during gear changes - the latter he says have caused passengers to become nauseous. The car was taken to several BMW repair shops in Italy and Hadi says he he has written a letter to the automaker about his issues, but the car was never fixed and the letter unanswered, he claims. What we don't know is how many miles the car has been driven and when all these problems started happening. The situation reminds us of a certain Lamborghini Gallardo from a couple years back.
While we understand Hadi's frustration, perhaps an M6 just doesn't suit his tastes. After all, we'd be lying if we said a perfectly functioning M6 of this generation wasn't bumpy over uneven surfaces and wouldn't make some passengers nauseous, with its stiffly sprung suspension and dizzying 500-horsepower V10. Anyone wanna bet his M6 was equipped with one of BMW's notoriously abrupt SMG single-clutch gearboxes?
BMW confirms X4 for next year, i3 preorders starting to add up
Wed, 20 Mar 2013BMW has confirmed the long-anticipated X4 will bow next year. Norbert Reithofer, chairman of the automaker's board of management, made mention of the upcoming CUV during remarks at the company's annual accounts press conference. Reithofer said that BMW has sold more than 2.7 million X models since it began producing the machines, and that the company plans to expand those offerings with the new X4 next year. He declined to offer up any more details, though from what we've heard so far, the model will be more of a crossover than either the X3 or the X5.
Reithofer also made it clear that BMW is getting serious about electric vehicles, saying the i3 (pictured above, in prototype form) is "definitely coming to market" and that the runabout will be ready by late 2013. BMW reports it has had "Several hundred advance orders" for the EV. As you may recall, the i3 uses a special carbon fiber reinforced plastic passenger cell to save weight and boasts a standard range of 93 miles. You can read the full transcripts from the press conference below for more information.
